Ternyata masalah teknis pada mobil toyota, bukan hanya pada pedal gas.
Hal ini terbukti saat salah seorang pemakai mobil toyota melakukan komplain di salah satu beres di bandung.
Customer : "pak, sejak sy beli baru kemarin ternyata mobil toyota sy bermasalah.."
Service advisor: "bagaimana masalahnya pak?"
Customer: "ketika saya mencoba mengoper gigi perseneling dari satu ke dua, ternyata malah langsung loncat ke gigi 3"
Service advisor: "maaf, apa type mobil toyota bapak?"
Customer: "toyota kijang innova G MT..."
Service advisor: "ooh, memang kami jg sdh sering menerima komplain semacam ini..tetapi memang hal demikian
Normal terjadi pak ..."
Customer : "wah, muke gile .. Masa saya beli mobil baru kena problem gt dibilang normal??"
Service advisor: "sebenarnya bapak sdh kami beritahu jg kan sebelumnya..bahwa..."Kijang memang tiada DUA nya.."

 Good one. Denger2 slogan Toyota juga mau ganti... jadi moving forward (even when you don't want to)

"To make sure Bill Clinton's heart doesn't stop, doctors put in a special pacemaker made by Toyota."

"Toyota should borrow the ad slogan from Energizer batteries: "It keeps going and going."

"The new model from Toyota this spring, the Toyota Apology: It gets two repair shops to the gallon"

"What do Toyota and Tiger Woods have in common? They both don't know when to stop."

nubi sendiri pake anj rs sama all new x-trail ...tp kl punya rejeki beli mpv middle buat keluarga ato medium sedan (amiien) so pasti pilihannya innova sama camry (sempat pakai livina beberapa bulan)..

Document: Toyota warned dealers of throttle surging in 2002

By Drew Griffin and David Fitzpatrick, CNN Special Investigations Unit
March 24, 2010 8:51 a.m. EDT

Boston, Massachusetts (CNN) -- Auto manufacturer Toyota warned dealerships in 2002 that Camry owners were complaining about throttles surging and recommended adjustments in an electronic control unit to fix the problem, according to a document obtained by CNN.

The technical service bulletin went to every U.S. Toyota dealership in late August 2002 after some customers reported their vehicles were speeding up unexpectedly.

"Some 2002 model year Camry vehicles may exhibit a surging during light throttle input at speeds between 38-42 mph," the bulletin states. "The Engine Control Module (ECM) calibration has been revised to correct this condition."

Toyota, the world's largest automaker, has blamed acceleration surges on floor mats it says can trap accelerator pedals and recalled more than 2.3 million vehicles in January for sticky accelerator pedals. It has said that independent testing failed to find problems with its electronic throttle controls.

But Clarence Ditlow, the head of the nonprofit Center for Auto Safety, said the 2002 document doesn't talk about mechanical issues.

"If you look at this document, it says electronics," Ditlow said. "It says the fix is reprogrammed in the computer. It doesn't say anything about floor mats."

The internal Toyota document was given to CNN by a group of attorneys now seeking a nationwide class-action lawsuit against the company. Ditlow said the document -- not previously made public -- indicates Toyota knew much earlier about an electronic connection to sudden acceleration problems. He also said the bulletin was apparently ignored or hidden from the public not only by Toyota, but also by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

"The government is really hiding this information from the consumer," Ditlow told CNN. "They're in a conspiracy with the auto industry to keep these out of the public's sight."

The attorneys now suing Toyota say the repair bulletin is proof the car company knowingly lied to the public about the causes of sudden acceleration, blaming floor mats or stuck gas pedals instead.

"They can fix these problems easily," said Tim Howard, a Northeastern University law professor who heads the legal group suing Toyota. "But it would cost them about $500 a car nationwide. If you have six [million] to seven million cars, you add the numbers -- it's between $4 [billion] and $5 billion. It's hard to actually tell the truth when those numbers are at the bottom of that truth."

NHTSA did not respond to requests for comment. And Toyota did not respond to questions about the bulletin, but it issued a statement to CNN attacking Howard and his fellow lawyers.

"Toyota strongly disputes these completely baseless allegations being driven by plaintiff's attorneys like Mr. Howard," the statement said. "Toyota intends to fight against these unfounded claims vigorously."

Howard and his legal team say they plan to appear in federal court in San Diego, California, later this week, trying to persuade a federal judge to combine the 88 individual lawsuits so far filed against Toyota into a single class-action litigation.

Ex-Toyota lawyer says documents prove company hid damaging information

by Deborah Feyerick and Sheila Steffen, CNN
March 10, 2010 10:11 p.m. EST

Los Angeles, California (CNN ) -- When former in-house defense attorney Dimitrios Biller resigned from his top post at Toyota, he walked out with something potentially more valuable than his nearly $4 million severance package.

He took some 6,000 internal documents, including memos and e-mails potentially damaging to his former employer.

"Not potentially, they are. They are very damaging," Biller said.

Biller, now entangled in litigation with the auto giant, defended the company in product liability and negligence cases from 2003 to 2007. He says he quit because of what he alleges were "criminal acts" by Toyota -- specifically, withholding information the company was legally required to turn over to plaintiffs' lawyers during litigation.

"There is a regular pattern and practice of not producing memos, minutes, reports, and e-mails," Biller said. "These documents can be used to establish liability against Toyota in product liability and negligence cases."

The documents -- some of which were reviewed by CNN -- were sent by Biller to Toyota officials. There are numerous references to so-called "Books of Knowledge," highly confidential information on design, safety systems and testing records allegedly generated by Toyota engineers on everything from roll-overs and roof safety to sudden unintended acceleration.

The chairman of a U.S. House committee investigating Toyota seems to agree with Biller, saying Toyota engaged in a "systematic disregard for the law and routine violation of court discovery orders in litigation."

Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-New York, whose committee subpoenaed Biller's documents, said "The material, I must admit, is very, very disturbing."

Toyota defends its actions, saying, "We are confident that we have acted appropriately with respect to all product liability litigation."

Yet so far, the company has fought to keep the documents confidential and away from court cases -- like Pennie Green's. The Texas native was 17 and driving to see a movie with her cousin when her life instantly changed.

"I didn't make it," she said.

A car turned in front of Green and, with no time to react, her 1997 Camry swerved, rolled over and landed upside down. "When I opened my eyes, my nose felt like it was almost touching my belly button I was so curled up."

Green never walked again. In 2005 she filed suit against Toyota, claiming the roof was defective because it didn't withstand the weight of the car like it should have.

Biller defended Toyota in that rollover case, brought by Green's lawyer, Jeff Embry.

"We certainly requested everything that had any relevance to our case at all and, in fact, we had to go to the court to have Toyota ordered to provide their information," said Embry, who added Toyota provided just enough information to show Toyota vehicles "met the minimum standards."

Green's case settled in 2006 for $1.5 million.

Included in Biller's documents is an e-mail he said he sent to his bosses summarizing negotiations. It says, "TMS [Toyota Motor Sales USA] concluded that it would be better to pay a premium to settle this case and avoid producing the 'Books of Knowledge.'"

Embry said he had no idea how close he'd come to uncovering Toyota's alleged secrets. "I think they were very careful to keep design information, very important information in Japan, out of reach of our system as much as possible," he said.

Although Toyota calls the materials "trade secrets," Embry said, "That doesn't mean that you get to keep them a secret from the court system."

So why, if Biller knew a judge had ordered all information produced, didn't he produce it? He said he tried but was stopped by a superior who told him, "You have to protect the client at all costs."

"Even if that includes," Biller asked, "committing criminal acts or violating the law?"

The answer, Biller said, was yes.

Did he break the law? "No, I did as much as I could as a lawyer for a client to not break the law," he said. "I wrote e-mail after e-mail, memo after memo, explaining the legal obligations Toyota and its affiliates needed to fulfill."

In response to Biller's documents and his allegations, Toyota spokeswoman Cindy Knight released this statement: "Mr. Biller continues to make inaccurate and misleading allegations about Toyota's conduct that we strongly dispute and will continue to fight against vigorously."

Before leaving Toyota four years ago, Biller had a nervous breakdown caused, he said, by stress. Still, he said, he is confident his e-mails left a trail showing he tried to change Toyota.

"The documents speak for themselves. I know what happened. I know exactly what happened. I know the names of the people who were responsible for it. I know where the skeletons are hidden."

As for Pennie Green, if a judge finds Toyota did hide documents, she said, "all I want is justice for that. They just need to take responsibility for their actions."

Embry has filed a motion in Texas with the state's 18th District Court to investigate whether Toyota unlawfully withheld evidence in Green's case and should be held in contempt.

So far Toyota has fought successfully to keep Biller's documents sealed and Biller from testifying.

Report: 100 cases of death caused by Toyota unintended acceleration
by Eric Loveday (RSS feed) on Mar 25th 2010 at 7:56PM

The Los Angeles Times scoured public records and discovered that the number of deaths possibly linked to Toyota's unintended acceleration issue could top more than 100 – twice the amount previously reported earlier this year.

With recalled vehicles reaching record numbers, complaints have poured in to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the number of reported accidents involving sudden acceleration have increased accordingly. A review of police reports, lawsuits and NHTSA filings have revealed that sudden, unintended acceleration could be a possible cause of death in as many as 102 cases.

The rise in possible deaths related to sudden acceleration has led to a thorough evaluation of each and every fatality reported involving a recalled Toyota vehicle. All accidents involving recalled vehicles, and in particular cases that involve a fatality, will be investigated by the feds, and the government's final report should finally solidify the gruesome numbers.

HARRISON, N.Y. – A housekeeper who reported that her boss' Toyota Prius accelerated on its own and wouldn't brake as she hurtled toward a stone wall apparently had her foot on the gas pedal the entire time, according to a police investigation that concluded the driver, not the car, caused the accident.
