toyota : "klo blm ada korban, ane emoh recall2an" (sayang duit)
mknya hire staf ex-NHTSA buat nutupin kasus2 n byr karyawan dibawah UMR
liat bedanya???
Harrison Police Exonerates Toyota: Definitely Driver Error
At long last, police in Harrison, NY, agree with NHTSA findings that “driver error caused the crash of a Toyota Prius in this New York suburb,†says the Wall Street Journal. The converted Harrison police chief would even drive a Prius.
Capt. Anthony Marraccini, acting chief of the Harrison police, said there was no mechanical or electrical failure in the car: “The vehicle accelerator in this case was depressed 100 percent at the time of collision. There is absolutely no indication of any brake application.â€Â
Marraccini was the last to come to this conclusion. Before, he had complained about NHTSA trampling on his turf, about Toyota not giving him their laptop, and refused to rule out driver error. Later, he said driver error was “a possibility.â€Â
In the highly publicized case, a 56-year-old housekeeper had driven her employer’s 2005 Prius down the employer’s driveway, where, as she claimed, the Prius developed a mind of its own and sped up despite her braking. The car reached a top speed of 35 miles per hour during a short drive that ended across a busy street.
The car slammed into a stone wall at 27 mph. Car and wall were damaged, driver was not seriously hurt. Toyota’s reputation, at the time reeling from the James Sikes caper, took a damging hit.
Marraccini now did a 180 and said he believes that Toyota Prius cars are safe, says Reuters. “Quite honestly, I would have no reservations about putting my own family†in a Toyota Prius, Marraccini said.
In the much more dubious James Sikes case, the California Highway Patrol is leaving the question open, despite findings of the NHTSA and Toyota to the contrary.
Ever since the two cases went down in flames, and after police in Japan recommended that criminal charges are brought against a driver who claimed a brake failure had caused his Toyota Prius to crash into another car, reports of runaway Toyotas dropped precipitously.
Previous reports caused a mass hysteria, congressional hearings, a flood of class action suits, and recalls of more than 8m Toyotas worldwide.

Hahaha, don't try to put things in my mouth, bro. Investigasi apa sih? Coba baca baik2.
Aneh, apa perlu dibawa2?
Apa bedanya 2001 dan 2006? Apa bedanya 2001 dan Corolla DX?
http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/18/foll ... -and-matr/
So why not Corolla DX?
Perkara ECU stall, saya pikir biasa aja, apalagi habis banjir besar 2002, banyak mobil yg idlenya kacau krn ECU terendam. Untungnya ECU nggak ada yg terus aneh2. Artinya failsafe jalan, bahkan pada kondisi ekstrim tsb.
Sebetulnya maksud saya gitu lho, yg mobil jalan aneh2 bukan dari ECU rusak / error. Ya maaf kalau jadi terkesan lain.

yg disurvey sapa dulu? ya iyalah yg disurvey bos2
apa underpaid workers itu ikutan disurvey jg? bisa2 nyemplung ranking toyota klo mrk jg ikut disurvey
mbl gw ikutan direcall? emg gw pikiran... kekekek
fyi, yg direcall itu produksi 2006-2007, mbl gw ga masuk tuh. dr beres dikasih tau jg klo itu cuma khusus ctv bensin, tp klo pun gw ada komplen ttg selang/pump bbm gw, lsg diganti tanpa babibu
Ya iyalah yg ditanya business people, namanya aja majalah Fortune. Tapi yg ditanya business people BUKAN dr Toyota doang.
National Labor Committee Exposes HP, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft and IBM Sweatshops
Today, the National Labor Committee (NLC) is releasing a 60-page report, "High Tech Misery in China", documenting the grueling hours, low wages and draconian disciplinary measures at the Meitai factory in southern China.
The 2,000 mostly-young women workers produce keyboards and other equipment for Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft and IBM. Along with worker interviews, photographs of primitive factory and dorm conditions and extensive internal company documents were smuggled out of the factory.
Get the full report.
Workers sit on hard wooden stools as 500 computer keyboards an hour move down the assembly line, 12 hours a day, seven days a week, with just two days off a month. The workers have 1.1 seconds to snap on each key, an operation repeated 3,250 times an hour, 35,750 a day, 250,250 a week and over one million times a month. The pace is relentless.
Workers are paid 1/50th of a cent for each operation they complete.
Workers cannot talk, listen to music or even lift their heads to look around. They must "periodically trim their nails," or be fined. Workers needing to use the bathroom must learn to hold it until there is a break. Security guards spy on the workers, who are prohibited from putting their hands in their pockets and are searched when they leave the factory.
All overtime is mandatory and workers are at the factory up to 87 hours a week, while earning a take-home wage of just 41 cents an hour. Workers are being cheated of up to 19 percent of the wages due them.
Ten to twelve workers share each overcrowded dorm room, sleeping on metal bunk beds and draping old sheets over their cubicles for privacy. Workers bathe using small plastic buckets and must walk down several flights of stairs to fetch hot water.
Workers are locked in the factory compound four days a week and prohibited from even taking a walk.
For breakfast the workers receive a thin rice gruel. On Fridays they receive a small chicken leg and foot to symbolize "their improving life."
Workers are instructed to "love the company like your home"…"continuously striving for perfection" …and to spy on and "actively monitor each other."
China provides large subsidies to its exporters. In 2008, the U.S. trade deficit with China in advanced technology products is expected to reach $74 billion. There are 1.4 million electronic assembly jobs left in the U.S.-paying $12.72 to $14.41 an hour-which may be lost due to China's low wages and repression of worker rights.
One Metai worker summed up the general feeling in the factory: "I feel like I am serving a prison sentence...The factory is forever pressing down on our heads and will not tolerate even the tiniest mistake. When working, we work continuously. When we eat, we have to eat with lightning speed… The security guards are like policemen watching over prisoners. We're really livestock and shouldn't be called workers."
God help us if the labor-management relations being developed in China become the new low standard for the rest of the world. The $200 personal computer and $22.99 keyboard may seem like a great bargain. But they come at a terrible cost. The low wages and lack of worker rights protections in China are leading the race to the bottom in the global sweatshop economy, where there are no winners.
gile...semuanya aja kena...siapa sih NLC ini Pake Apple aja. Eh salah, kena kasus child labor juga. Udah gak usah pake computer aja
bukannya mau bela sapa2, tp artikel diatas ada yg sebutin ttg dibayar dibawah UMR ga? dibyr dibawah upah yg seharusnya mgkn, tp dibwh UMR? mgkn ane kelewatan.... hehehe
eh, klo acer gimana om? kompie ane banyakan acer ama rakitan nih

jgn dulu mendiskualifikasi elektronik, masih yes/no answer
Most of their sudden unintended acceleration problems are almost certainly caused by their vehicles’ electronics
– either by electromagnetic interference (EMI), and/or lead-free soldering, and/or software “bugsâ€Â
.....
3 It is difficult/impossible to stop a runaway vehicle with the brakes
Tests performed by the motor industry, by the Japanese Government, and for the US Government, including recent tests on a Lexus ES-350, all show that it is very difficult indeed to stop a runaway vehicle with the brakes – and may be impossible for some people. Even if you do manage to do it, the stopping distance is enormous. This assumes that the brake pedal is pressed only the once, and is kept firmly pressed down until the car stops, and is not "pumped.â€Â
4 EMI generally leaves no trace of a “defect†after an incident 4.1 Why no “defect†can be found afterwards
Switch on a light. Then switch it off. Now prove that the light was ever switched on. You can’t do it - the electricity that flowed in the circuit leaves no trace. Electronic circuits can operate in many ways, and as design engineers we are used to improving them so that they behave the way we want them to with sufficient reliability for the application they are intended for.
If a light is turned on when it is supposed to be off, it doesn’t suffer any damage. In exactly the same way, when an electronic circuit operates in the wrong way, or at the wrong time, it doesn’t suffer any damage either, and - like the light - once it is working as intended again there is no trace of its former incorrect behavior.
4.6 Lack of evidence proves nothing
Just yesterday, I saw in the daily news an automobile manufacturer stating, “We can find no evidence that EMI is a cause of sudden acceleration, therefore EMI cannot be the cause of it.†I suspect that all auto manufacturers have used this logically unsound statement over the last 30+ years, Toyota being the latest.
But of course we would expect EMI to leave no traces of its passing. Any competent EMC design engineer knows this, including those who work for the auto manufacturers themselves. This bankrupt argument is still being used today because it can persuade people who don’t realize that it is logically incorrect. This is why it is a favorite of politicians and bureaucrats.

Since the fall, Toyota has recalled more than 6 million vehicles in the United States because of acceleration problems and braking flaws. Regulators have linked 52 deaths to crashes allegedly caused by accelerator problems, and the recalls were the subject of three recent congressional hearings.
At least 89 class-action lawsuits have been filed against the Japanese automaker, which could cost the company $3 billion or more.
Toyota shareholders sue over fallen stock price They contend that the automaker hid scope of sudden acceleration problem
MIAMI - Toyota shareholders incensed over a sudden drop in the Japanese automaker's stock price are heading to court with lawsuits claiming company executives deliberately misled investors and the public about the depth of accelerator problems in millions of its vehicles.
At least three proposed class-action lawsuits filed by Toyota investors say the company gave false initial assurances that the sudden acceleration problem was a simple matter of floor mats trapping gas pedals, helping prop up the stock price.
The shareholder cases are part of an avalanche of potentially costly lawsuits against Toyota Motor Corp. over the acceleration issue, including those filed by crash victims and their families and those brought by Toyota owners contending their vehicles are worth far less because of the recalls.
The investor lawsuits say Toyota spread misleading information through press releases, conference calls with stock analysts and TV interviews to assure stockholders and the public that the accelerator problem was easily fixed or might be the driver's fault.
Instead, the lawsuits contend, top Toyota executives have known for nearly a decade that faulty electronic throttle controls caused vehicles to sometimes careen wildly out of control but covered it up to protect the company's reputation for safety  and its stock price. The company has not issued any recalls involving flaws in the electronic throttles and has repeatedly denied they are the problem.

Bukan saya yg rule out electronic problems. POLISI NY DAN NHTSA investigators yg sudah rule out electronic problems
Lack of evidence proves nothing...either way - tapi nggak masalah kan org2 sirik menyebar isu dan histeria kalo ini masalah elektronik?

Gimana kalo yg stocknya hangus ya? Alias BANGKRUT ala General Motors
A Chicago law firm representing people who have sued GM in several auto accident cases said they objected to parts of the plan that would free the "new GM" from liability for people injured by a defective GM product before June 1.
Steve Jakubowski, who filed the appeal notice for the accident litigants, said his appeal would assert that the bankruptcy judge overstepped his authority by preventing victims from pursuing litigation under their state product liability laws.
He estimated that about 1,000 lawsuitscould be pending with potential damages in the range of hundreds of millions of dollars.
Approximately 300 Americans have been left without meaningful remedy by GM's bankruptcy settlement. The Ad Hoc Committee of Consumer Victims of General Motors, a group of attorneys who represent the 300 Americans who filed lawsuits against GM prior to the bankruptcy, values these claims at over $1.25 billion. Many of their clients have suffered devastating injuries from alleged vehicle defects including paralysis and brain damage. Under the GM restructuring, these claims must be paid like unsecured creditor debt -- that is, out of old GM's virtually worthless assets.
Padahal gampang, tinggal ngemis duit lagi aja sama rakyat Amerika...
Bailing out GM makes it really tough for government to say no to other beggars
The staggering $10.6-billion from Ottawa and Ontario to help bail out General Motors - at least temporarily - will reverberate throughout Canadian public affairs for years. The bailout will make it politically almost impossible for the federal government to say no to other industries in distress when they ask for assistance.

n seburuk2nya GM, masih lbh buruk toyota :
- jual killer car
- hire ex-NHTSA staf buat nutupin kasus2
- byr karyawan < UMR
- udah dituntut car owners-nya, dituntut pula ama shareholders-nya.... ASTAGANAGA !!!
ini ibarat org2 yg dulu jatuh cintrong ama Toyota, kini rame2 mau mukul gara2 dikhianati.... ckckckck
tp tetep, cinta mrk msh kalah jauh ama cinta om FM thd Toyota... die harder gitu loh
