Rover never died: Dongfeng Joyear 1.8T launched

Rover, the former British car maker had their IPR split across the world when they died in 2005, a fate which GM might just meet sometime in the not so distant future. Rover managed to live on in various different ways, SAIC built their Roewe 750, MG built their MG7, Etsong, FAW, and a whole host of other Chinese companies got to grips with the Maestro platforms (albeit Rover sold them on before they went bankrupt). SAIC have been doing various deals with the Rover K-series 1.8 Turbo engines, they now power Huatai Terracans (old Hyundai Terracans, which is in turn the ‘91 Pajero) and SAIC also signed up Dongfeng. Dongfeng dropped the 1.8 Turbo engine into their recently launched Joyear MPV, which Dongfeng had on display at this weeks Guangzhou Auto Show.

The 1.8T Joyear is now named Joyear TT, we dont know if Audi will protest at this name or not, we do not know, but one thing is for sure, the updated interior on the Joyear looks fantastic. Although the exterior design of the Joyear looks a little awkward, and the front end may well be a poor Grandis clone, the interior space is extremly well utilized, quite possibly the best use of space by a Chinese manufacturer to date.

Mobil pribadi yg tipe nya jg dijadiin taksi aja udah turun imej nya..
Apalagi kalo yg kyk gini ini..
Kluaran korea sebetulnya jg banyak yg adopsi dr merk lain..
Nissan Teana jadi Samsung SM7.. dll..
Yg masih saya bingung.. Sebetulnya yg model2 mirip2 gini ini.. emang dah ada ijin sama yg ngluarin pertama atau blm sih ?

Nggak tahu juga Om mungkin niru,
Saya pernah berkunjung ke Musium transportasi di Korea,nah di situ di pajang mobil mobil yang di klaim keluaran pertama prodak Korea,tapi heran seh mobilnya mirip banget mobil Jepang di kampung sono.

bedanya, even jepang kalo nyontek itu, produknya di-improve dari contekannya, bukan seperti china yg malah dikurangi.
