Nissan masih terbelit kasus Canton

Model-model buatan Canton yang masuk daftar Consumer Report itu -hasil survei 1 juta konsumen di USA- adalah Nissan Armada, Quest, Titan dan Infinti QX56. Sedan Altima yang juga dibuat di Canton, menjadi satu-satu model yang lolos.

"Sulit menjelaskan mengapa mereka begitu," kata David Champion, direktur uji mobil Consumer Reports yang mengaku dalam delapan tahun karir-nya baru pertama kali ini menemukan merek Jepang mempunyai kualitas begitu buruk.

Namun Consumer Report tidak merefleksikan bahwa pabrik itu terus melakukan improvisasi dan survei Strategic Vision menunjukkan adanya perbaikan itu. Menurut jubir lembaga survei terkenal itu, kebanyakan dari 9,000 konsumen yang ditanya, mengaku happy dengan mobilnya yang dibuat di Canton.

Kasus Canton ini sebenarnya masalah lama dan Nissan sudah sungguh-sungguh mencari biang keladi masalah dan memperbaikinya. Upaya itu dipicu penilaian buruk J.D Power and Associates beberapa tahun lalu.

Gile kalo dari dulu udah begitu, butuh berapa tahun ya agar masalahnya beres.

NISSAN harus cepet memperbaiki kasus tsb, kalo ngga bisa merusak citra NISSAN yang sedan naik daun.

"It's difficult to actually put a reason on why they are so unreliable," said David Champion, director of automobile testing for Consumer Reports, a publication of the nonprofit Consumers Union. "But it is a little bit worrying when the worst plant in the U.S. is actually a Nissan import plant."

Kasus ini mencoreng brand image Nissan USA dan membuktikan bahwa Nissan memberikan harga kompetitif (murah) dengan mengorbankan kualitas dan reliability, just like what I have been pointing out. You get what you paid for!

Hmm, konsumen USA memang cukup kritis akan kualitas sebuah produk, dan JD Power bukan sebuah institusi kacangan.

JD Power sudah bertahun-tahun meriset kepuasan konsumen akan produk otomotif, mulai dari riset mereka akan mesin rotary Mazda di dekade 1960an yg hasilnya kurang memuaskan namun dijadikan batu loncatan oleh Mazda untuk mengembangkan mesin rotary yg lebih baik dan terbukti hingga saat ini Mazda masih terus mengembangkannya.

Bung Villa and Conan,

if U think Nissan cars are bad, SIMPLE ! Don't buy them ! Stick to yr kapsuls, Avanzas and Innovas ! Or maybe buy that 400+ juta Prius !

Of course U guys don't know that the Canton plant was very new, most of the workers are also new, and they are also making many new models !

The old Nissan Tennessee plant on the other hand is said to be one of the best in USA !

Like I said before, it is hard to teach new dogs old tricks !

But anyway, explain to U guys juga percuma. U guys kan dari dulu sudah sepakat mobil Nissan jelek. Only Toyotas are perfect. So I shall not waste time explaining too much !

LOH, ini kan KENYATAAN, Pak! Bukan dibuat2 atau hanya berdasarkan 'kefanatikan semata'.

Anda lupa aku juga adalah fans Nissan?? Tapi aku tidak fanatik, tapi realistik. Give me realism over fanatism, any day of the week!

Dan kalau Anda memakai alasan karena pabriknya BARU, LOH, kan nanti AUV juga produk BARU dari pabrik BARU??

Ur hatred of Nissan is so deep that U forgot NMI have been making cars like Terranos here for more than 10 years ! Now is a 10+ year old experience car plant NEW ?!

THEN perhaps U can tell me is there any Nissan cars in Indonesia with numerous quality problems ? Car plants are not robots but run by humans. U don't expect all car plants of a car brand to be the same regardless of experience level !

Like soldiers in an army. Same army, same commander, but U don't expect 2 year recruits to be as good as the 10+year battle hardened veterans !

Nissan di Amerika itu sudah lebih lama drpd di Indo Pak! Puluhan tahun, bukan cuma 10 tahunan!

Dan pabrik di Purwakarta yang akan merakit AUV itu kan pabrik baru, line perakitan BARU, tenaga kerja BARU, bahkan model yg dirakit juga BARU! Apa bedanya dengan pabrik baru Nissan yg bermasalah di USA itu??

Anda sendiri begitu terBUTAkannya oleh kefanatikan Anda terhadap Nissan dan Ghosn, Anda sama sekali tidak mau dengar berita apapun yg negatif tentang Nissan, dan mencari2 alasan pembenaran seperti untuk kasus di atas.
Sementara jika ada berita negatif sedikit saja mengenai Toyota, Anda serang habis2an.

Mau bilang 'no I am not'? Coba tanya saja pada rekan2 lain, apakah mereka setuju dengan pendapatku ini atau dengan Anda.

Coba aku tanya pada Anda : bagaimana jika suatu hari Ghosn pindah ke Toyota?? Hmm? Anda ikut Ghosn atau stick with Nissan?

I ikut design / harga dan feature mobilnya ! CEOnya siapa I don't really care !

If tomorrow Ghosn goes to Toyota, BUT the AUV is still better than the Innova, I will STILL buy the AUV ! Ghosn or not !

Remember, Ghosn does not pay my salary ! I do ! I don't owe him anything !

FYI, the Canton plant is I think born in late 2003. Thus that plant is only 2 years old ! Even though Nissan have been in USA for a long time !

I never hear any bad things from their Tennessee plant ! There are many seasoned veterans there, including a guy named Emil Hassan (sounds like an Indonesian name his name is), who is said to be one of the most experienced car executive in the world. He nearly quitted Nissan pre-1999, but thanks to Ghosn, he was impressed by the new CEO enough to stay on.

Anyway, don't forget, even Toyotas and Hondas have several big number recalls too ! In the car business, U don't expect almost perfect like quality ! Cars are too complex for that ! Asal jangan ada deliberate quality downspec yang mengancam jiwa !

Also FYI, Nissan's old plant that makes Terranos for 10+ years is already in Purwakarta for a long time ! To be precise, they are in Kota Bukit Indah !

The AUV plant is ONLY a greatly expanded current plant !

Well, pasti memang ada worker baru di campur ama worker lama. Bisa saja, like many new cars around the world, ada bugsnya, seperti computer new software.

Well, perhaps the Avanza's and Innova's recent problems mungkin gara gara new Toyota workers at new Innova / Avanza plant also ?

Cuman I am not so worried about not so good assembly due to new plant / workers. I am MORE worried about parts which are recalled BECAUSE of poor selection / specification , or deliberate downspec to make cheap !

A new worker will at times make mistakes, thats unavoidable anywhere.

BUT I am sure selection of critical parts is in the hands of SEASONED veterans of the company, not new recruits, at any car maker in the world !

So if anything happens to that critical part, is it because of new worker inexperience, OR pushing the limit too far ?

You tell me.

Nissan terbaik yg wa doyan cuman 350Z

klo Infinity wa demen FX45

selain di luar itu wa tak tau apa2...

tapi ga pernah ngendarai nissan selama ini jadinya wa jadi pengamat yg baik saja ah

(sejauh ini cuman pernah naek nissan Sunny, FX45 doank)

tapi bottomline dari yg diatas.... semua merek sama lah wa bilang, depends on the eye of the beholder~

setiap boil pasti ada plus minus hehe
