Kantor Pusat Lexus Indonesia Ditempatkan Di Kawasan Soedirman
Gosipnya PT. Toyota Astra Motor sudah menetapkan lokasi di Jalan Jenderal Soedirman sebagai head office Lexus
Informasi tentang keberadaan Lexus di Indonesia, ternyata masih berseri. Sebuah sumber (lagi-lagi keberatan disebut jati dirinya) mengungkapkan informasi terbaru tentang langkah yang sudah dilakukan PT. Toyota Astra Motor dalam rangka menyiapkan jaringan penjualan Lexus di Indonesia.
Info terbaru itu adalah keputusan ATPM mobil Toyota di Indonesia menggunakan salah satu ruang pamer-nya di kawasan Jalan Jenderal Soedirman, Jakarta sebagai showroom sekaligus sebagai head office Lexus di Indonesia. “Bekas kantor pusat TAM dahulu itu akan dijadikan kantor pusat Lexus di Indonesia,†bisik si sumber.
Sayang, lagi-lagi redaksi tidak mendapat informasi yang mengiyakan maupun menolak dari Toyota. Namun bila melihat populasi mobil Lexus yang masuk ke Indonesia melalui tangan importer umum, bukan tidak mungkin Toyota memang sudah melakukan langkah-langkah cerdik membidik peluang bisnis yang menggiurkan itu. Kita tunggu informasi lainnya lagi.

Dan saya yakin asal investmentnya banyak, trainingnya bagus, pasti hasilnya bisa bagus. Saya ngak pernah dengar orang complain tentang BMW CKD di sini.
Dan jangan lupa, jika Lexus CBU, harganya terlalu dekat ama BMW / Mercy, ngak gampang juga. Brand equity BMW / Mercy masih sangat formidable !
But if they CKD Lexus, and offer lower price, then its a big victory !
Soalnya saya masih inggat, waktu masih lebih muda, saya mulai kenal Lexus. Iklannya di USA di taro glass isi air dan di taru di atas kap mesin Lexus LS400. Saat mesin di nyalakan, glassnya hampir tidak getar ! To demonstrate mesin Lexus halus !
Dan cara mereka hantam BMW / Mercy di luar negeri ya itu, they offer BMW / Mercy quality for less money !
If they can repeat here also, pasti OK. Orang sudah kenal nama Lexus juga di Indo.
Cuman, lets see if the hybrids arrive. Jangan lupa ! Pak Johny Darmawan will also be greatly involved in Lexus as head of TAM. And if he said there are many constraints to hybrids operating in Indonesia, he must have good reasons !
Soalnya anak anak jaman sekarang pun tau orang Indo lagi butuh mobil irit / economis dengan tingginya harga BBM. If for not good reasons, Toyota begok dong ngak masukin hybrids.

Di USA and Japan, the government remember offers incentives for hybrid buyers. Don't forget, di Indonesia ngak bakal terjadi.
Bisa saja Lexus masukin hybrid, tapi dengan harga yang amat tinggi. Yang beli juga pasarnya sangat terbatas ! Seperti kasus di USA. Yang beli paling pejabat, celebrity, big CEOs etc. The ordinary folks will not be able to afford them.

Seperti alat hemat BBM banyak yang di jual di sini. Tapi orang lihat harganya yang kadang jutaan sudah takut ! Balik modalnya ngak jelas.
apalagi hybrid premiumnya puluhan juta. Orang Indo biasanya lihat biaya up front begitu tinggi sudah takut juga.
Jarang orang Indo seperti orang USA, demi lingkungaan ya bayar extra ngak papa.

TIDAK. Lexus sebaiknya tetap CBU, dan TAM knows it well. Buktinya, mereka hanya menyiapkan kantor and sarana purnajual, bukan line perakitan (yg tidak akan pernah bisa up to Lexus' standards).

Memang Anda tidak pernah dengar tentang BMW2 yg meledak di sini? Karena komponen karetnya specced down sehingga setelah satu dekade menjadi sangat mudah terbakar?
Atau Anda mau reputasi Lexus tercoreng karena ada fuel pump yg jebol (Innova, CKD) atau oli bocor karena sealing yg jelek (Stream, Jazz CKD)?

Sudah dibilang dari dulu, tetap saja keras kepala dan tidak mau dengar. Prius itu indennya jauh lebih panjang daripada Fortuner!

Aku yakin jika berita di atas bukan tentang TAM dan Lexus, melainkan tentang NMI hendak menjual INFINITI di Indonesia, nada Anda pasti akan berubah 180 derajat dan Anda akan mendukung mereka 100%!! HA!
I am not against Lexus or hybrids. Just that I feel kalau ngak ada kendala, jangan bilang ATPM. IU yang biasanya cepat saja sudah masukin dulu.
I mean cuman takut Lexus CBU harganya ngak beda jauh ama IU. Nanti nasipnya sama dengan Odyssey ATPM di hajar Odyssey IU !
Loh, saya ngak bilang ngak support Lexus masuk Indo kok. Justru waktu muda, kenal Lexus, saya pernah tanya sales TAM, kok Lexus ngak ada di Indonesia ? Dan salesnya ngak banyak commentar. Mungkin saat itu dia lihat saya masih usia muda, jadi ngak mau ladenin saya terlalu dalam.

Lexus tidak perlu menjadi mobil rakyat seperti IMV. Kalau Anda belum sanggup, tidak perlu beli, kan? Justru bisa memotivasi orang untuk berusaha lebih keras.
Lexus akan menjadi flagship dan halo effect bagi merk Toyota.
Well, kalau ttg dealer lexus di indo seh actually udah dari bulan maret, H.O TAM yang di Yos Sudarso sudah bikin departemen & tempat khusus buat Lexus mereka. Yup the are starting ( most likely ) dengan New GS430. All of them are CBU no CKD. Jadi yah one thing for sure Lexus 100% coming, it is only a matter of time kok.

Lexus hopes the redesigned IS will give the BMW 3 series a run for its money.
IS: With the redesigned 2006 IS, Lexus is trying again to challenge the BMW 3 series. The entry-luxury, rear-wheel-drive sports sedan offers 204-hp, 2.5-liter and 306-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 engines. Expect coupe and convertible versions in spring 2008 as 2008 or 2009 models.
ES: The redesigned ES sedan arrives for the 2007 model year, due at dealerships in the spring of 2006. While the IS sedan is about the driving experience, the ES will be about jamming as much luxury as possible into a roomy entry-luxury vehicle.
GS: Although redesigned this spring, the GS sedan will get quick engine upgrades. Lexus has filed for patents for the names "GS 350" and "GS 460," meaning significant near-term engine upgrades are in the works.
The hybrid GS 450h will arrive in the spring of 2006, powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 mated to Toyota's hybrid powertrain. The car is expected to reach 60 mph in less than 6.0 seconds, faster than the V-8 version of the GS sedan, while still delivering 30 mpg, Toyota sources say.
LS: Lexus executives say the fall of 2006 will be like 1989, when Lexus and the LS were launched in the United States. They are that confident that the redesigned 2007 LS 460 flagship will once again take the luxury segment by storm.
The 2007 model will feature a 4.6-liter V-8 that produces 350 hp, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission and optional awd. A hybrid version, called the LS 600h, will arrive in the 2008 model year. Mating the V-8 engine to Toyota's hybrid system, the LS 600h will have the equivalent power of a 6.0-liter engine, while delivering V-6 fuel economy, Toyota sources say.
A long-wheelbase edition will allow Lexus to go head-to-head against the BMW 7 series.
SC: Lexus' retractable hard-top coupe will be redesigned in the spring of 2007 for the 2008 model year.
LF-A: Lexus debuted a high-performance concept at this year's Detroit auto show that drew gasps. Although Toyota has not confirmed the car as production-ready, the automaker has several mules frequently zipping around the track in Nurburgring, Germany.
The LF-A sports car is expected to pack around 500 hp and go on sale in spring 2007 as a 2008 model with a sticker price of around $100,000.
RX: The hybrid version of the RX sport wagon hit dealerships in the spring of 2005 as a 2006 model. During the 2006 model year, the RX will get a displacement boost to a 3.5-liter V-6, an engine shared with the Toyota Avalon and Lexus ES 350. The redesigned RX is slated to arrive in March 2008 as a 2009 model.
VX: The VX sport wagon, with three rows of seats, will be the RX's big brother. The VX will be developed on the GS vehicle platform and debut in early 2007 as a 2007 or 2008 model.
The Lexus LF-X concept shows the styling direction for the VX. Power is expected to come from a 4.3-liter V-8, although a 3.5-liter V-6 might also be offered. The VX would line up against the Infiniti FX.
GX: No major changes are foreseen for the SUV.
JX: JX is the name given to Lexus' new body-on-frame SUV, arriving for the 2008 model year. One engine likely will be offered, a 5.4-liter V-8. The JX will share a rwd platform with the upcoming redesigned Tundra pickup. The JX will replace Lexus' LX SUV.

Honda Accord 2.4 Dinobatkan Sebagai Car of The Year 2005
Jagoan PT. Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) di kelas sedan menengah (Honda Accord 2.4) berhasil memenangkan predikat paling bergengsi itu.
Sebagai pioneer penyelenggaraan pemilihan Car of The Year, majalah MobilMotor kembali mengumumkan pemenang mobil terbaik 2005 di Automall, Jakarta Rabu malam (28/9). Jagoan PT. Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) di kelas sedan menengah (Honda Accord 2.4) berhasil memenangkan predikat paling bergengsi itu.
Mobil Motor menjadi penyelenggara pemilihan mobil terbaik Indonesia sejak 3 tahun lalu. Menurut Rudi Kurniadi, Pimpinan Redaksi MobilMotor sekaligus selaku Ketua Panitia MobilMotor Indonesia Car of The Year 2005, kegiatan pemilihan mobil terbaik yang beredar di Indonesia itu dimaksudkan untuk merangsang perusahaan perakit/pembuat/penjual mobil di Tanah Air menghasilkan atau menjual produk otomotif berkualitas.
Untuk mendapatkan mobil terbaik, dewan juri yang terdiri dari orang-orang terpilih yang memiliki bidang yang berkaitan dengan dunia otomotif itu menggunakan criteria seperti desain, engineering, quality, fit dan finish, safety, driving pleasure, performance, dan value for money.
Proses penyeleksian mobil-mobil itu dilakukan sejak 22 Agustus 2005 hingga 27 Agustus 2005. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan di sirkuit International Sentul dan Kawasan Bukit Sentul, Citeureum, Bogor.
Melalui seleksi yang ketat, akhirnya dari 26 mobil yang mengikuti event ini hanya 11 mobil yang dapat memenuhi criteria yang disodorkan panitia. Ke 11 mobil itu adalah Kia Picanto sebagai The Best City Car s/d 1100 cc, Daihatsu Xenia Li (The Best Small MPV s/d 1000 cc), Toyota Avanza (The Best Small MPV 1300 – 1500 cc), Honda Jazz VTEC (The Best Mini MPV 1500 – 1700 cc), Toyota Innova 2.0V (The Best Compact MPV 1700 – 2000 cc), Toyota Innova 2.7 (The Best Premium MPV), BMW 120i (The Best Hatchback Sedan), Honda Accord 2.4 (The Best Sedan), BMW 325i (The Best Premium Sedan), BMW 530i (The Best Exclusive Premium Sedan), Honda New CRV (The Best SUV 4x2).
Puncak dari penganugerahan “mobilmotor Indonesian Car of The Year 2005†adalah dinobatkannya Honda Accord 2.4 sebagai The Best Car mobilmotor Indonesia Car of The Year 2005. Untuk memenangkan predikat teratas ini, di segmen sedan, Honda Accord harus bersaing dengan Nissan Teana dan Peugeot 407.

Lebih baik Anda buat thread baru saja di Forum Umum, aku juga mau respond berita di atas. Walaupun Accord cukup bagus, tapi menurutku masih ada mobil lain yg lebih pantas jadi car of the year 2005. I smell something fishy here!

Lagian lexus adalah merk premium otomatis pelayanan mereka harus ekslusif dan memuaskan pelanggan adalah hal paling utama. Sudah lumrah kalo pelanggan2 kelas atas adalah golongan yg cerewet, bukan spt gol org2 pengindent avanza/innova yg bisa dipermainkan seenak salesnya.
