Car and Driver places Infiniti M45 (Nissan Fuga) at 1st place against Acura RL, Audi A6, 5-series, Caddy STS, Jag S-type, Merc E-class and Lexus GS430.

Wah hebat juga ya Infiniti ini. Tapi kalo ga salah dulu M45 berbasis Gloria yaH? Tapi kalo yg sekarang kok basisnya Fuga? Saya lihat fotonya memang berbasis Fuga.......

Well, lebih tepat dikatakan sama persis daripada berbasis.

Infiniti dan Lexus memang 99% sama persis dengan versi Nissan dan Toyotanya, tidak seperti Acura yang lebih berbeda dengan Hondanya..

Dan M45 ini memang adalah Nissan Fuga.

I just loved it when human creativity and hard work overcome tough entrenched rivals ! Tapi what do U expect from the guys who created the Skyline Series ?

Ingat museum section of GT4 or Enthusia. Di bagian commentar situ, mereka bilang, kalau Toyota itu jago jualan mobil, artinya dealernya success besar jual banyak mobil, Nissan is the " Technical Leader ".

Cuman dalam hybrid mereka ngak serajin Toyota. My guess is, Ghosn dalam short term mau memperkuat Equitas / balance sheet dan cash flow Nissan dulu.

Sesudah BANYAK uang, baru ngomong research hybrid etc yang akan nelan banyak biaya.

If its another guy who is lazy abt hybrid research, saya akan tertawa. But from someone with many years of experience of corporate turn-arounds, corporate growth, and good track record, saya pikir kita jangan abaikan pikiran dia.

He may have very good reasons. He is not dumb. Mungkin dia pikir dana Nissan belum sebanyak Toyota, ya jangan jadi jagoan dulu. Wait for the right time.

Seperti Indonesia lah ! Belum makmur banget, jangan pikir macam Nuclear Power, bikin pesawat sendiri etc. Strengthen the fundamentals first !

I'm a fan of Ghosn and Nissan, but about hybrid technology, I honestly believe that they did not have the money and now it's too little, too late.

Oh well, they could always have it licensed from Toyota or Honda.

Too late ? Belum tentu deh. Look at Ford. They are the first to mass produce the Automobile.

Fast forward today, hows Ford banding the big 3 Japs ?

The first may not be the strongest for a long time. Toh hybrid bukan obat paten. Nanti ATPM lain seperti Nissan, saat uangnya dan pasar sudah matang, bisa dong beli berapa hybrid Toyota cars, dismantle them and make a good study of them.

Anyway, FYI, di buku Shift, Ghosn ada kasih pendapat dia. Join me in a new Topic " Hybrid Technology " in the main forum...
