MITSUBISHI LANCER EVO X

The "X" stands for 10, and yes, another generation of the sporty 4-door sedan is in the works. Mitsubishi released a rough rendering of how the Evo X may appear, and we took it one step further to see how the finished product would look. As you can see, the X will have much rounder edges, but with an aggressive face that's instantly recognizable as the Evo's. The car will evolve mechanically as well, with a new turbocharged inline-4 and a new all-wheel-drive system, which will allow the torque to be individually split for each wheel. It's similiar to the system used in Mitsu's World Rally Championship machine.

We don't know what's in store for the engine except that it will have MIVEC (Mitsubishi's Variable Valve and Lift System) and be turbocharged. Power should be in the neighborhood of 300 bhp.

With the Lancer Evolution IX set to make its debut early next year, the Ten probably won't be out until 2007 or later. But what's most notable about the Evo X is that Mitsubishi, despite its current financial situation, is planning to be around, competing and prospering.

The price of the exciting 4-door pocket-rocket should stay at about $30,000.

Perkiraan sih taon 2007 baru dirilis. Masih lama emang, karena untuk tahun ini dan 2006 Mitsu merilis Evo IX dulu.

Bagian pantatnya gw belum punya. Masih dalam status pencarian. =)
