The interior. Nice combination of leather, wood and metal. Nice lighting, too.

Dual VVTi ?

Toyota Launches Mark X Luxury Sedan
on Sunday, Nov 14th, 2004

It's time to play that game again: "Which European luxury car styling did the Japanese copy this time?" Past favored victims included Audi, BMW, and especially Mercedes-Benz. However, this time Toyota went to VW, making their Mark X as a very nice copy of the Volkswagen Phaeton. The smooth and agreeable sedan will be powered by either a 3.0-liter or 2.5-liter V6 engine is paired with a Sequential Shift-matic transmission (either a newly developed six-speed for RWD or existing five-speed for 4WD). Toyota aims to sell 5000 of these boring, unimaginative cars to 5000 boring, unimaginative Japanese people every month.
