HRV coret. Ga fun. Period. Cuman bodynya macho sih. Ane personally suka. Cuman yahh taste masing masing ya :)

- Xtrail yang trim paling tinggi skr brp yah? Ga fun to drive sih, cuman full feature. Ada bird viewnya :P. Cuman kalo memang mau ambil Xtrail consider jga Captiva sekalian. IMHO Captiva lebih enak dibanding Xtrail.
- Pernah ngeconsider OS? Mungkin boleh dilirik sekali-sekali :)

Mohon diingat yang nulis artikel ini bukan anak kemaren sore kayak saya... Tapi situs otomotif yang terkenal (CarThrottle dan Engineering Explained)... silahkan surfing di youtube kalau penasaran who the heck is car throttle atau Engineering Explained. Menurut saya yang nulis sangat-sangat kompeten... Karena kalo saya yang nulis sendiri pasti banyak yang ndebat dan hujat saya :ngacir:

Dan saya sebenernya setuju kalau beberapa mobil yang diakui mayoritas jurnalis otomotif berpengalaman itu punya ciri-ciri yang nyaris sama.... Simple thing : GT-86 dan Miata... Everybody agrees those two creature is a very fun thing... Ada tiga resep utama : Small, lightweight, quick. Jadi sebetulnya mobil yang "fun to drive" itu bisa diciptakan dengan mengikuti beberapa resep :
1. Agility and Nimbleness
Cars are enormous masses. These masses don’t want to change direction (says Newton), so when you drive something that allows for quick direction changes it’s exciting. Several factors play a large role here, though a lot of it comes down to weight. Think of it like this: if someone rolls a basketball at you, it’s very easy to stop it and roll it back. If someone rolls a bowling ball at you, you’re probably just going to get out of the way. Stopping it takes a lot of work, and the same applies to cars. These factors (among others) help improve agility:

Moment of inertia: ideally weight is centered;
Weight balance: ideally weight is distributed fairly evenly between the two axles;
Low weight: shed those pounds!

2. Steering
I believe response time plays a large role in how we appreciate steering systems. If you turn the wheel and you immediately have the car turn in, you believe it to be better. Regardless of whether that translates into better lap times is irrelevant, the fact you feel more in tune with the car instantly makes it more fun to drive. A few factors help keep steering fun:

Steering ratio: smaller ratios result in quicker turn in and a sense of better response. I find this desirable;
Feedback: Cars with a mechanical linkage between the wheel and the tyres with minimal assist will provide the driver with useful feedback about how the front tyres are behaving;
Low weight: Cars that have less weight will turn more easily, and this results in better steering feel as you don’t feel like you’re fighting against an invisible force.

3. Predictability and Controllability
Ultimately we want to drive cars that don’t understeer or oversteer, unless initiated intentionally. For the car to behave neutrally, many factors play a role:

Weight distribution and balance: centered weight helps provide neutral steering;
Suspension/wheel/tyre tuning: balancing front and rear loading and grip is a complicated endeavour, but when done correctly, it makes driving incredibly entertaining.

4. Approachable Limit
Perhaps a generalisation, but I’d be willing to bet the majority of car enthusiasts don’t spend a high portion of their time on a track. For most of us, we experience the joy of driving on public roads. When the ability of a car exceeds what is safely possible to achieve as a law abiding citizen, how useful is it really? I’ve never driven anything truly exotic, but I imagine that, on public roads, it feels similar to being a tiger looking at a tasty meal on the other side of protective glass at the zoo. To have some real fun with hyper-powered cars, you need to be on a track.

Light weight cars with skinny tyres tend to be incredibly fun on public roads. You can feel - and hear - as the limit approaches and step over that line if you want to, letting the tail slide out if that’s your thing. There’s something deeply enjoyable about having the rear tyres get loose while controlling the path of the vehicle. Cars on diets tend to allow for this to happen easily and predictably. I’m not advocating drifting on public roads, but having a ride that allows you to flirt with the idea is spectacular.

5. G-forces
Here’s where 0-60mph does comes in, albeit along with many other factors. G-forces are sensations we’re not usually subjected to (other than the one holding you down), so when you add in lateral forces to the mix it’s thrilling. Rollercoasters, merry-go-rounds, Gravitrons… these are all simple devices that subject us to g-forces, and we pay to experience it. We want cars that brake, corner, and accelerate quickly. The physics of what provides this is simple:

Power: More is better, you go faster!
Weight: F=ma. Reduce mass and you accelerate faster.
Tyres: Ultimately things will become friction limited. Sticky tyres will allow for higher acceleration forces.
Fun gak selalu bergantung pada power, fun juga sebenernya tidak subjektif sekali. Kata "fun to drive" sendiri sebenernya itu merujuk pada objek (mobilnya). Kalau yang subjektif itu balik lagi kita suka sama mobilnya apa enggak, biased sekali kan? Hehehe... We can have fun in any car in many ways, but not every car is fun to drive.

Saya kira kalau oom bilang HRV, Tiguan, Civic dan Altis baru gak fun, oom sudah paham dengan maksud saya... Walaupun menurut oom subjective, you get the point about how a car is called fun to drive.

IMO,
Most modern car jaman sekarang itu rubbish, cendrung b'kutat pd gimmick atopun dandan casing penampilan. Begitu sekali kita push to the limit & then beyond, baru dah keliatan belang warna aslina.

Kebanyakan di design ya buat keperluan rumah - mall/kantor. Jarang kita menemukan mbl yg bs b'kerja di luar itu, umumnya pd gagal di area yg average people tdk explore.

So cari lah kandidat mbl yg tetap bs b'kerja & b'tahan dg prima meski sdh di push beyond the limit, dmn average people jrg explore. Pastinya sangat2x sedikit mbl yg msk di kategori ini. Mnrt sy ini worth to money nya.

Nah itu yang coba ane jelaskan, oom jivos... Nggak ada jurnalis atau automotive-freak di dunia ini yang gak setuju kalau Miata dan GT-86 adalah mobil yang fun to drive, dan lucunya semua jurnalis dan automotive-freak tersebut punya anggapan bahwa Toyota Prius/Mitsubishi Mirage adalah boring car dan nggak ada yang berpikir sebaliknya,

Logikanya saya balik : kalo memang fun to drive itu subjektif, harusnya ada orang yang berpikir GT-86 itu boring dan Prius itu fun to drive. Saya yakin semiring-miringnya otak sales Toyota nggak ada yang bilang Prius lebih fun daripada GT-86.

Hal fun to drive itu nggak se-subjektif orang bilang Avanza lebih bagus dari Mobilio karena RWD. It's an exact matter.

Toyota/Subaru, Mazda, Suzuki, they know the recipe. They built it. Coba saja search review - review GT-86, Miata, Swift Sport, semua akan setuju dan bilang ketiganya fun to drive.

Ampuun bahas fun to drive yg sebenernya disini cuma selentingan kata tuk ndeskripsi overall sebuah mobil aja dibuat ribet belibet ... memang juara serayamotor :mky_02:

Yg jelas mah opini publik pastinya banyak yg bilang abcd buat suatu mobil, tp pasti ada satu or beberapa point yg orang2 berpendapat mirip or sama dgn yg lainnya ...

misal contoh kasar mobil X ada yg bilang beda2 soal hal lainnya, ada yg bilang visibilitas kurang, stir berat, ada jg yg bilang mobil X itu visibilitas bagus, stir sedang, dsb tp rata2 orang sepakat bilang kalo mobil itu fun to drive ... :D
Biarpun ketika ditanya definisi fun nya apa aja ke orang2 pasti ada beda2, tetep aja thats the same 'fun' things at the X car

Yaa mobil yg fun to drive juga boleh suspensinya empuk (equipped with steering cakep, jiwa yg keluar bgt, mesin yg syahdu suaranya & bertenaga, dsb), & yg nyaman juga boleh aja suspensinya keras (but equipped with super comfy seats, ban empuk, smooth transmission, kabin hening, dsb) :mky_08: :mky_02:

CVT tuh lovable bgt, emang sih agak ngeselin kalo butuh tarik2an tp ya fine aja & FC yg dihasilkan (compared to geared at) bisa bikin senyum2 sendiri terutama buat dompet pelajar ala nubi :big_comfort:
