The second-generation Honda Amaze makes its official debut at Auto Expo 2018 in India, and will go on sale there in FY 18-19. The new Amaze boasts a significant redesign, and continues to be positioned in the sub four-metre entry-level sedan segment.
Visually, the car incorporates many cues from recent Honda models. The bolder front fascia features a thick chrome bar grille inspired by the tenth-gen Civic, while the curvy reflector headlights of the first-gen model have also been ditched in favour of more angular units. Also part of the overhaul is a more subtle bumper, one that comes with smaller fog lamp enclosures.
The profile reveals a prominent horizontal character line originating from the headlights, progressing above the door handles. The A-pillars are more upright than before too, while less rakish C-pillars warrant a new shape for the side windows.
As for the rear, the new taillights now extend partly into the hatch, which does away with the chrome trim piece in favour of just the ‘H’ logo. The badges also get swapped around a bit, with the ‘Amaze’ now found in the upper left (previously upper right), while the engine type is in the lower right.
No interior photos yet, but expect a large number of changes similar to what’s going on with the exterior. The new Amaze was developed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific located in Bangkok, Thailand, following extensive market surveys in India on people’s driving needs and lifestyles.
The first-gen Amaze (a sedan version of the Brio hatchback) can be had with a choice of two engines – a 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel. While official specifications aren’t out yet, these two engine should be retained, albeit with a bump in efficiency/performance.
Fix muka depan pesek, lampu belakang tanpa extended jd mirip jazz untuk Brio. Ga ada garangnya, mukanya culun malahan lbh culun dr mobilio. Tambah ancur aja designya. Yg lama belakangnya pesek, yg baru dpannya yg pesek. Cmonn..... designernya lg mabok ya. Btw, tekstur plastik dashboardnya kasar amat y.
Dpannya jadi ngotak gtu ya... Semoga AN brio depannya lebih landai dan "maju"
IMHO desain dashboard lebih ngalir versi brio skrng yg ini desain dashboardnya Berasa kurang sreg
Honda produk yg ga global (utk pasar lokal kayak brio, mobilio, dan brv) mmg designnya gado2. Susah untuk dicerna mata haha
Sedangkan produk globalnya kyk hrv, civic, crv juga kena issue BQ busuk dan random defect ? Kayakny honda yg bagus adanya di pasar negara maju kayak amrik, UK, aussie, japan. Di negara berkembang yah kualitasny yah begitu lah....
Btw interiornya ada bau2 crv turbo ya, dari kisi2 ac tengah sama bigkai head unit. Exterior mirip accord baru, dari tarikan garis samping sama desain stoplamp.
Sepintas liat di foto ke-2 dan ke-3 (dari atas), lebar tapak bannya kecil amat yak?
Serius itu? Atau karena fotonya salah proporsi? Kurang stretch kali?
ada beberapa poin yg ane notice:
1. lampu belakang, mirip seperti lampu belakang calya lengkap dengan reflektor tempelannya, tapi digepengin.
2. bonnet depan, sepertinya terlalu panjang untuk kategori mesin kecil. keluarga brio, mobilio, jazz & freed ga sepanjang itu deh hood nya.
3. desain bodi belakang, terlalu banyak tonjolan dan cekungan, aneh. seperti xpander tapi digepengin.
