It’s been five years since the third-generation Mazda 6 was unveiled, but it ain’t going anywhere just yet, with a second facelift set to be introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 30. Before that, Mazda has shown teaser images of the front and interior of the car, previewing the rather significant upgrades in store for the swoopy D-segment sedan.
Up front sits a revised fascia seemingly inspired by the new CX-5, with a new grille surround that flows under – rather than above – the headlights. Speaking of which, the light graphics have also been redesigned with new LED daytime running lights, while the bumper incorporates the slim “whiskers” from the CX-5. On top of that are a new 19-inch wheel design and what appears to be the new Soul Red Crystal paint.
Inside, the 6 gains a comprehensive interior update, including an all-new dashboard – the second it has received since 2012. The more horizontal instrument panel design features new climate controls and Japanese Sen Wood trim that sits on the same line as the thinner air vents. Elsewhere, Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) can now do stop-start traffic, and there’s also a new 360-degree monitor.
Even bigger changes can be found under the bonnet – the 2.5 litre naturally-aspirated SkyActiv-G engine now gets cylinder deactivation, and for the first time Mazda will also offer the turbocharged version from the CX-9. Output numbers have not been revealed just yet, but for the record, the forced induction mill produces 228 hp at 5,000 rpm and 420 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm in the big seven-seater SUV.

Foto di atas tadi sepertinya new generation tapi dengan pendekatan ala New CX5 , exterior dan interior baru tapi mungkin sasis masih yang lama, mesin sepertinya masih pake 2500 cc untuk pasar Indonesia kecuali Eurokar berani masukin mesin 2500 cc turbo

Betul, saya sebagai tukang review pun gak akan ngadu kambing langsung CR-V / X-Trail dengan CX-5, karena memang kayaknya Mazda bukan mengajukan CX-5 untuk lawan 2 benda itu.
CX-5 itu different animal dibanding X-Trail dan CR-V... memang diciptakan buat disetir bukan di balik pengemudi...

singkatnya bisa dibilang diatas jepang ( brg indo DM ) dibawah eropa meski tetap jgn sampe ditafsirkan setara lexus/ infiniti
Ngikutin mercy jaman now kayanya yg dari C, E, sama S mirip semua
1 yg ane suka, mazda biar uda keluar model barunya, model sblmnya ga terlihat terlalu tua. Ane ngeliat CX5 FL masih ga terlalu terlihat kuno biar all new nya uda keluar jg. Ini mazda 6 baru nanti keluar kayanya yg model skrng jg ga terlalu terlihat kuno. Faktor desain mazda emang cakep dan new modelnya ga terlalu radikal perubahannya.

mazda mang asik banget kalo disain sebuah mobil... seri 6 ni juga ga pernah bikin lelah mata wkwk... cakep n enak dilihatnya
Citing the popularity of the higher-spec versions of the new CX-9 – 55 percent of which are sold in Grand Touring or Signature trims in the US – Mazda is offering the new 6 with upscale equipment like Nappa leather, UltraSuede, and Sen wood trim. The (optionally ventilated) seats have been redesigned for better ergonomics in a cabin packed with an 8.0-inch infotainment display, an available 7.0-inch instrument display, and head-up display on the windshield.
Power comes from Mazda;s Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter four, in either naturally aspirated or turbocharged forms. With as much as 250 horsepower (on premium fuel, 227 on regular) and 310 lb-ft of torque, Mazda describes the forced-induction engine (transplanted from the CX-9) as packing “torque on par with a 4.0-liter V-8 engine” thanks to its variable-pressure turbocharger. The new Mazda6 is available, once again, with a manual transmission – but only with the lower-spec engine, while the turbo comes mated to a six-speed automatic.
The chassis has also been retuned to better optimize the balance between handling, ride, and NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). The rigid-mounted steering rack promises improved feel and response. And better sound deadening offers a quieter ride.
