ini x pertama toyota pasang american bumper u indo dm yg sebetulnya terpasang pd rt13x north-american version (us + canada) yg pakai 2.2L 20r engine (engine sama dg celica)
dark blue adalah launch color indo n paling byk ckd dg warna ini...harga rp.10.5juta onroad (jgn liat factuur krn itu sblm kena ppn-bm dan import excise) th.1981 atau rp.1 juta lbh mahal drpd toyota corolla yg dijual di indo saat itu (70 series) "dx" trim atau sama harga dg darkblue corolla "dx"-ltd edition (yg pakai trd roofrack n mudguards n panasonic radio-cassette player bukan fujitsu-ten)

Yang jadi pertanyaan.. kenapa Corona TT132 di Indo umur penjualan hanya 1 tahun Om? Apakah kurang laris ? bkn kurang laris tapi itu masuk sbg intermediate / transitional model...itulah toyota medium car pertama yg compu graphic designed...spt crown s100 series (1975-79)
tapi yg paling penting...thn 81 ada tax policy change dimana mobil diatas 1601cc engine cap kena klaas pajak yg sama dg 2000cc sehingga...next model punya engine cap lbh kecil dr itu (cara termurah u sole agent terhindar dr tax hike di market yg lil sales volume adalah change model drpd change mechanical spec on existing model)
ingat jaman dulu blm ada pre production type test by govt...ganti model kapanpun itu urusan sole agent...govt yg penting import taxes n customs excise dibayar bgt units mendarat di bonded zone tanpa hrs tggu barang laku dulu

Update Improvement Corona TT132 1981:
Upgrade pengapian:
-pasang modul TCI sebagai pengganti fungsi platina (platina jadi hanya sebagai kontak saja), platina awet tahunan & tidak perlu disetel
-pasang coil booster untuk memperbaiki kualitas api busi, kondisi elektroda busi menjadi abu2 agak kemerahan (efek lain: meningkatkan throttle response/akselerasi + menurunkan FC)
Upgrade penerangan:
-membuat quad headlamp menjadi 2 jaringan listrik terpisah (asalnya 1 jaringan), sehingga bisa diperoleh 8 pola/intensitas sinar
-pasang lampu Osram NBR+ (sinar putih kekuningan) & All Season (sinar kuning) yang masing2 bisa dikontrol terpisah.
Upgrade indikator:
-pasang voltmeter & tachometer digital (aslinya gak ada volt & tachometer)
Upgrade bahan bakar:
-pake RON92 atau RON90 (tidak lupa stel ulang derajat pengapian yang sesuai), di buku manual disarankan pakai RON90
