Buntut dari pengakuan ini, Toyota juga bersedia membayar denda penalty sebesar US$1.200.000.000 (1.2 milyar dollar as), atau kalau kurs sekarang yang US$1=Rp.11.500,- jumlahnya setara Rp.13.800.000.000.000,- (13.8 Trilyun Rupiah).
