Boost = Pressure ratio - 1

Pressure ratio 1 berarti = tekanan atmosfir di sekitar kita

Misal Pressure ratio 2.9 maka boost max = 1,9 bar

Kaitan Correction Air Flow (X axis) vs Pressure ratio (Y axis):
Turbo yg memiliki range "Min - Max" kurva air flow kecil (angkanya), maka itu utk mesin kecil dan sebaliknya

Turbo yg dimana angka Air flow kecil dan grafik PR nya udah naik tinggi berarti spool up-nya cepat.

Monggo rekan2 yg lebih paham dr ane utk koreksi / tambahkan

Seingat saya kompresi nya beda om.. Kalau pasang turbo di mobil N/A harusnya turun kompresi dulu baru bisa pasang turbo.. CIMW
K3VET itu kalo gak salah compression ratio nya 1:8.5 sedangkan K3VE 1:9 lebih

K3VE itu kalo gak salah avanza sama sirion, K3VET itu YRV bukan?

Selain turun kompresi, untuk mesin gasoline n/a yang mau naikkin turbo, ada baiknya ganti/reinforced komponen jeroan mesin untuk menahan lonjakan kompresi saat keongnya spooling

Thks tambahan nya om imsus2c :mky_02:
walau kode mesin nya sama, tapi jeroan mesin beda dan ECU dan wiring nya juga beda jadi sebetulnya banyak yg harus di ubah tidak sekedar plug in play walau ada tempat kosong untuk instal turbo..

Yg jelas, ya yang paling kena dampaknya saat lonjakan kompresi dan tenaga/torsi, seperti piston, setang piston, crank shaft (connecting rod), dsb
Bahkan kalau boost nya kelewat extreme, blok atau header mesin standard kadang bisa pecah

Lain kalau mesin diesel, secara secara kontsruksi + material lebih kuat dibanding mesin bensin, kalau turbo-nya cuma low/medium boost, kemungkinan besar parts jeroan mesin standard-nya masih tahan

Salah satu merk yg cukup populer menyediakan jeroan mesin aftermarket wiseco

Betul, management-nya beda

Kata teman saya yg punya bengkel, kadang naikkin turbo di mesin bensin n/a, hasilnya kurang memuaskan, effort nya ngga sebanding sama hasilnya

Biasanya, kalau mau pasang turbo di mesin bensin n/a, temen saya malah sarankan beli half cut dari mesin sejenis yg sdh turbo dari asli-nya, lalu swap/cemplungin ke mobil yg mau diupgrade tadi. Katanya sih, hasilnya lebih baik dan sedikit margin error-nya
Kalau beli half cut, biasanya kan sdh lengkap mesin, turbo, ecu, transmisi dsb...

Oya, kadang yg suka lupa karena terlalu fokus naikkin tenaga, rem+kaki dibiarkan standard aslinya, nah ini konyol plus bahaya

Ibaratnya, orang yang beli kopi, ya konsekuensinya siap siap beli/stock gula, krimer dan susu juga lah :D

kalau mau pasang turbo, apakah sistem pendinginan mesin harus upgrade atau cukup dengan apa yang ada?

Iya, saya lebih prefer beli halfcut engine, karena kalau rusak kita gak perlu repot sama mesin asli nya..
Rem+kaki perlu di perbaiki karena mengundang bencana kalau sampai tidka di upgrade

Kalau pendinginan biasanya sih orang-orang ganti radiator, tambah oil cooler.. Yg jelas sih pendinginan turbo nya harus bagus..

Entah itu wajib atau sekedar saran, yang saya lihat sih, mobil2 yg upgrade/naikkin turbo, biasanya juga ganti radiator :e-think:
