Toyota automaker No.1 di dunia.

Did Toyota Hide Evidence, Secret "Books of Knowledge"?
By Maryam K. Ansari, Esq. on March 1, 2010 10:05 AM
The latest news in the Toyota investigation? Alleged hidden documents and Toyota's secret "Books of Knowledge."
Toyota Motor Corp has allegedly withheld internal company documents in past court cases --documents which if hidden, could have been extremely incriminating for the automotive giant.
According to the Chairman of a U.S. House committee investigating the motor company, Toyota engaged in "systematic disregard for the law."
These accusations come in light of the current investigations by Congress into Toyota's alleged safety defects, which promoted two major recalls over the past year. The documents were subpoenaed by Congress from Dimitrios Biller, a former Toyota attorney who has been fighting a legal battle against Toyota for several years, since his employment was terminated at the company.
(For a look at the subpoena, see this post in FindLaw's CourtSide.)
Biller has cried about Toyota's alleged obstruction of justice for years, where he claims that he was unjustly terminated for asking Toyota to turn over the information relating to design flaws when asked for it by the opposing personal injury attorneys in lawsuits. He claims that Toyota knew, for a very long time, that there were acceleration problems with some vehicles.
Not only did Toyota fail to turn over the documents in the discovery phase of litigation, but they also hid the information in Toyota's secret "Books of Knowledge," according to Biller.
Essentially, once a lawsuit is filed, the parties need to prepare for the case and thus, the attorneys on both sides ask for information from the other party, in an attempt to build the case. Although some information falls under protected privilege, information that does not meet a privilege, and that is reasonably related to the matters at hand, must be disclosed. Any failure to do so would be an obstruction of justice and could result in sanctions by the judge.
Biller also claims that Toyota would enter into multi-million dollar settlements if it seemed like the plaintiff's attorneys were close to discovering Toyota's secret "Books of Knowledge."

Toyota sold 9.7 million cars and trucks last year, compared to GM’s 9.29 million and VW’s 9.1 million. But if you’re wondering which carmaker is the biggest, most powerful company in the industry, it’s no contest: Volkswagen.
The German manufacturer has the highest revenues, profits and assets of any automaker, according to Forbes’ 2013 Global 2000 list. Its market value is second only to Toyota’s.

ijinken nuwbie geblek urun rembug
sepengetahuan ane dan menurut pandangan ane pribadi
tanpa ada unsur membela toyota
waktu ane masih kecil, jaman toyota kijang jadul nongol (Kijang Super)
ane masih inget banget, mobil jenis station atau mobil keluarga waktu itu paling mending bentuknya ya Kijang.
padahal kita semua tau, karakter bangsa kita, "duwe duit ora duwe duit sing penting duwe mobil"
jiiiaahhhh..... kok jadi curcol
kalo dulu kijang, kalo sekarang avanza

Toyota Vietnam technical flaws spark public outrage
Last Updated: Sunday, April 03, 2011 12:45:00
Toyota Vietnam drew broad public criticism after it refused to recall nearly 9,000 cars that it admitted to have technical flaws.
Meanwhile, a company engineer who helped expose the flaws to local authorities told Thanh Nien that there must be more faulty cars on the market.
Toyota Vietnam on Friday admitted that nearly 9,000 Innova model cars suffered from technical flaws, but said a recall would not be necessary.
Officials from the company, including Production Manager Tadashi Yoshida, said around 8,830 of the cars may have problems with their brake systems, screws or their seats.
Some 200 cars, for instance, may have been released to the market with braking systems that are more responsive than usual.
Toyota Vietnam announced that the cars would not be recalled. They described the technical flaws as minor and alleged that they would not affect driver safety. The company also said they had yet to receive a customer complaint about the problems.
Many readers called or wrote to Thanh Nien on Saturday, calling for an immediate recall of the vehicles. Many alleged that the company did not respect Vietnamese consumers.
“Does it mean that the safety of the Vietnamese people is not a matter of concern to Toyota Vietnam? They know (about the flaws) but they've decided to ignore everything,” an email reads.
“Mr. Yoshida said there would be no recall because there have been no complaints. So, does that mean he wants to wait for complaints and accidents to happen and then recall the cars or what?” another reader in Ho Chi Minh City asked.
The case came to public attention after engineer Le Van Tach submitted documents to the Vietnam Register, a quality control agency, demonstrating three major problems with the company's Innova and Fortuner models.
Tach, who is still employed by Toyota Vietnam, said he has been telling company managers about the problems for years. He claimed no one heeded his concerns. Tach further alleged that the cars made in Vietnam face balance issues since their screws are not tightened in accordance with directives issued by the Japanese parent company.
He pointed out that the brake systems and seats do not meet Toyota's safety standards, either.
In an interview with Thanh Nien, on Saturday, the engineer praised Toyota Vietnam’s officials for their acknowledgment of the flaws. But Tach said he was “disappointed” because the officials withheld information and even gave out wrong information.
The engineer said around 60,000 flawed vehicles had been sold by the company. As these cars were made on the same production line, it’s impossible that only some cars had the flaws while others did not, he said.
Tach also objected to the decision to treat the flaws lightly and not to recall the cars, calling it “absurd.”
“When a car is made, the designers create standards that every single product must meet,” he said.

Nih, cerita nasip Le Van Tach yang mulai terima balasan keras dari toyota, karena dia peniup peluit kasus INNOVA, FORTUNER, demi keselamatan Rakyatnya.

Toyota Vietnam suspends ‘whistleblower’ engineer
Toyota Vietnam (TMV) has imposed a three-month suspension on Vietnamese engineer Le Van Tach, who exposed technical problems with the carmaker’s manufacturing process leading to the biggest vehicle recall in the industry’s history earlier this year.
During the suspension period, the company will only pay 50% salary to Tach after the decision authorized by TMV general director Akito Tachibana.
At a press conference in Hanoi on Monday, TMV insisted the reason for the management’s decision to suspend the whistleblower engineer from his job was due to “behavior that affects work and reputation of other employees.”
On May 31, Tach submitted a letter to the management of TMV complaining that seven senior managers had insulted and threatened him after he released information on three serious technical problems that had triggered Toyota’s largest ever recall of over 65,000 cars.
TMV refused to apologize to Tach and said he had no grounds for complaint and issued him with a letter informing him of his suspension.
Earlier Tach released documents revealing three glitches in Innova and Fortuner vehicles. He said TMW had sold around 60,000 vehicles with quality defects in Vietnam.
The company in April apologized to customers for the technical problems relating to its cars and announced a recall of 65,700 Innova and Fortuner vehicles that were assembled in Vietnam for repair.
TMV on Monday announced four minor quality issues in Innova, Fortuner and Vios cars assembled and sold in the local market. But they declined to reveal the number of affected vehicles.
Tach said he will leave Toyota Vietnam to seek pastures new after he was suspended by the very company he denounced.
Tach told Dan Viet on Tuesday that he is preparing to open a private business and will quit the Toyota job.
But before leaving, Tach said he will complete paperwork to expose more technical faults on Toyota cars assembled in Vietnam and appeal against the suspension decision.
He revealed he had discovered four more technical errors on Toyota cars.
