as subject, 2 hari terakhir ini ketemu Maruti wagon R komplit dengan camo vinyl di bagian moncong & pintu belakang di area tol cikampek arah cawang & di area ciputat.
ternyata nggak cuma saya doang, tapi ada temen yang sempet motret pake BB (walo seharusnya dilarang karena bahaya)... pokoknya silahkan kroscek sama foto hasil jepretan BB yang saya terima + foto dari google dibawah
versi yang udah beredar di India sekitar 2 tahun lalu bisa liat dibawah
tapi buat spek umumnya dari situs diatas, mobil ini pake mesin K10B (sama seperti Maruti Estilo / Karimun New Estilo / Nissan Pixo) 3 silinder SOHC, BS IV compliant (setara standar emisi Euro IV) yang musti minum bensin RON92 keatas.
Kalo BBM standar mutu EuroIV, kayaknya nggada deh ya yang jualin RON 92 om.. CMIW... Di M'sia yg Euro3 dan S'pore Euro4, hanya ada RON95 dan RON97.. Cmiiw/..
Tapii kalo wagon R ala acha acha lagii.....
Harusnya mahh..Suzuki Wagon R tuh...

Tadi sih nanya ke temen orang dalem SIS dia bilang "no comment deh", begitu dipancing dikit katanya masih penjajakan performa bareng unit wagon R jepang (sebelum facelift 2012)
Selebihnya "nggak tau" lagi (nggak boleh tau)
Yang jelas kalo liat di webnya teambhp (review), cukup lumayan sih dari sisi mesin juga sama kaya karnelo jadi nggak rempong... Asal masuk trim opsional abs-airbag kaya ertiga & keranjang dibawah jok penumpang nggak dilepas sih boljug level practicalitynya
Kalo dari fisiknya kira-kira seukuran hyundai santro / kia visto, cuma lebih panjang & agak lebar dikit.

misal brand elit macem land rover atau jeep sih, main di niche market skalian, harga mahal skalian. dan para fanboynya memang a true dieharder dan udah settle semua.

yg roda 4 low mah laku bro wkwkwkwkwkw.. kutukan image merk. padahal mesin suzuki 4 roda badak2 loh. baru tau dr hasil baca2, enjin swift itu internalnya paling kuat ketimbang sekelasnya (yaris/jazz), mampu diturboin dengan jeroan estede dan mampu main di kelas 14 secs ET.

jiaah...kiran model JDM, ternyata lagi2 versi india...air dam depan dan grill menganga jadi keliatan lebay....tp bs dimengerti sih, kemungkinan itu penyesuaian untuk sistem pendinginan dan AC supaya lbh cocok dng iklim setempat
pengamatan dr yg sudah2, kalo di sono gak ada versi matic, sampe sini so pasti gak akan ada juga.....
tapi bagus atau jeleknya, apakah ini kandidat mobil LCGC dr suzuki...???

pasar di India entah kenapa termasuk salah satu negara yang anti kopling matik... walo macetnya lebih parah & lebih bengis daripada rush hour jakarta (disana macet bukan cuma karena jumlah mobil / motor / pasar tapi karena ada monyet + sapi lepas di jalan). tapi yang trend disana itu mesin CNG atau ada konverter petrol-CNG atau mesin diesel (pajak kepemilikan mobil jadi murah) juga karena standar emisi BS 4 (Bharat Stage 4, setara standar emisi Euro 4)
kalo soal LCGC nggak tau... soalnya regulasinya dari pemerintah juga nggak jelas ya binun, rencananya dulu kan LCGC dari suzuki mau masukin Maruti A-Star (Datsun Pixo di UK)

kalo diperhatiin lebih jauh lagi, india itu = INA soal "kemakmuran" bedanya hanya ada sistem kasta (menurut agama hindu di sana)..
coba kroscek ke web teambp atau situs otomotif india lainnya soal pemilihan transmisi & market leader lakunya matik/manual, di sana jawaranya masih kopling manual bukan matik... jujur aja waktu IIMS lalu saya ngobrol langsung sama orang marketing Tata Motors & sempet ngobrol soal jenis transmisi di produk yang dipajang (Tata Aria. Tata Indica Vista & Tata Nano) alesannya cuma :
"manual clutch is cheap to build & have superb reliability and mostly majority of us (orang india) are uncomfortable using automatic transmission, thats why."
tapi kalo di INA masalah SIS suka telat ngeluarin matiknya itu karena "pangsa pasar matik cuma besar di jabodetabek, sedangkan diluar itu konsumen masih lebih suka manual... terlebih kalo kita langsung jualan matik dari sisi brand image, suzuki masih inferior dibanding kompetitor jadi kita masih susah untuk head on lawan kompetitor untuk teknologi transmisi matik".
itu yang bilang pak Endro Nugroho sendiri waktu saya ketemu beliau di IIMS & waktu ikut talkshow majalah Cars Plus.

Gear up for change Small cars with automatic transmission still a niche segment
The new iteration of Maruti Suzuki's best-selling entry level sedan, the Swift Dzire, has a four-speed automatic transmission (AT) variant. You no longer have to keep changing gears to match the car's speed while driving. The vehicle does so on its own - with just one (or two) forward options on the gear stick as well as a reverse and neutral option. It is the first Maruti Suzuki offering with automatic transmission since the AX variant of the Wagon R, launched years ago.
That variant did not find too many takers, but the situation is different now. "There is increasing demand for automatic vehicles in India," says Mayank Pareek, Managing Executive Officer for Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki. However, since all the ATs fitted in Indian cars are imported, the AT variants are always more expensive than those with manual transmission. In the case of Swift Dzire, the VXi AT costs Rs 6.55 lakh (exshowroom in Delhi), which is Rs 1.22 lakh more than the manual model.
Small cars with automatic transmission are still a niche segment. Pareek estimates they will account for only five per cent of Swift Dzire's sales, but this is still better than before when they were virtually ignored. "The price difference is quite large, but it is a small one to pay for those who want the convenience of automatic cars," he adds. Running costs are almost the same: the AT variant consumes only marginally more fuel.
Automatics outnumber manual variants overseas and Pareek feels that with increasing numbers of Indians having travelled abroad and driven them, such cars are bound to get more popular in India. "Automatics are 90 per cent of the car fleet in the United States," he says. "I think people who return from there will drive sales," He also expects automatics to get cheaper as sales increase.
Hyundai has been selling AT variants of its i10 and i20 cars for years now. At Rs 5.11 lakh, its i10 Sportz AT is the cheapest automatic car in India. (Its manual variant costs around Rs 4.5 lakh.) But Arvind Saxena, Director, Sales and Marketing, Hyundai India, is sceptical.
"Yes, people who go abroad get used to driving automatics," he says, "But are they so used to them that they will pay 20 to 25 per cent more?" At present, in Hyundai's small car segment, automatics account for only four per cent of sales. It is a different story with bigger and more costly cars. Since the cost of an automatic is much the same for all cars, the more expensive the model, the narrower the cost difference between the AT and the regular variant. The automatics variant of Hyundai's mid-level sedan, Verna, for instance, accounts for six per cent of the model's sales.
With luxury cars, the situation is the reverse: it is manual transmission models that are the rarity. Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz only provide manual transmission options in their high-end models. "Many customers for these cars also buy smaller cars. Once they have driven an automatic in India, they find it difficult to drive a vehicle with manual transmission again," says Pareek.
