Sore SMers,
Sudah lama nih ane tidak ngelongok SM.
Nah, minggu lalu, ane ngobrol dg ek teman kantor yg sekarang jadi GM Business Improvement perusahaan pertambangan punya Pak Dagu Runcing. Ngobrol ngalor ngidul, dia cerita kalau kerjaannya adalah melakukan continuous improvement atas business process di perusahaannya.
Singkat kata, mereka menerapkan metode Toyota Production System/TPS, dan berhasil menambah revenue dan cost avoidance 150 juta dolar dalam dua tahun.
Gila... Ane penasaran dan googling apa itu TPS, nemu ebook The Toyota Way. Initnya ini adalah penerapan continuous improvement dan respect for others di Toyota, yang diterapkan sejak filosofi sampai ke shopfloor.
Hasilnya adalah Toyota di AS menjadi perusahaan dg waktu desain mobil terpendek, biaya produksi terendah, dengan kualitas yg jauh mengalahkan GM, Ford, dsb.
Nah, karena di SM ada para pecinta dan pembenci Toyota, maka monggo ngobrol disini.

Btw, ane belum pernah punya Toyota, cuma Hyundai dan Suzuki.

mulanya ane pikir ini sih sama saja dengan manajemen lain, apa sih bedanya, tapi setelah baca 1/4 buku ini, memang Toyota berbeda
