Ini kata yang paling BODOH yang saya pernah dengarkan ! Pusing amat ama berapa orang yang di kerjakan tam atau berapa pajak yang mereka stor ke negara. Kenapa ?


Tinggal pikir aja, andai kata suatu hari toyota tidak lagi ada di Indonesia. Apakah tu puluhan ribu orang pekerjanya akan jadi nganggur ? Apakah storan pajak besar akan hilang semua ? Tentu tidak ! Apa yang akan terjadi ?


1. Penjualan toyota akan pindah ke Nissan, Honda, GM, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki etc.. Emang cuman toyota doang yang jualan mobil murah ?


2. Storan pajak akan tetap tinggi ! Cuman bedanya sekarang yang bayar adalah ATPM lain !


3. Kalau toyota tidak ada, ATPM lain akan expansi pabrik untuk hadapi permintaan yang naik, dan saat itu mereka pasti lebih suka recruit mantan pekerja tam dari pada harus training orang baru. Jadi para pekerja toyota bisa join ATPM lain !


4. Supplier yang dulu dapat banyak order dari toyota, akan dapat pula banyak order baru dari ATPM lain !


Jadi kalau toyota ngak ada lagi di Indonesia, tidak ada pihak di Indonesia yang di rugikan kok ! Pusing amat ! Cuman petinggi tam aja yang jadi nganggur. Tapi toh untuk mereka bukan masalah, karena mereka sudah menikmati gaji tinggi puluhan tahun. Tinggal tidur aja di rumah terus. Udah kaya ini ?


Jadi sebenernya kalau toyota ngak ada di Indonesia, sama sekali tidak masalah. Para pabrik mobil lain tinggal takeover !


Malah saat itu, rakyat Indonesia mau ngak mau tinggalkan mobil macam avanza yang hasil uji tabrakannya tidak bagus, dan mau ngak mau beli lebih banyak mobil murah lain yang hasil uji tabrakannya bagus, JDM standard gitu, seperti Nissan March / Grand Livina, Honda Brio (kalau nanti masuk), Honda Jazz, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai i-20, H1, Mazda 2, Suzuki Swift.


Jadi effectnya akan seperti kalau rokok satu hari di BAN. Masyarakat mau ngak mau terpaksa harus beli barang lain yang lebih " aman " untuk kesehatan !


BAGUS untuk Indonesia ! Bayangkan saat hari itu, mudah mudahan nanti nyaris semua rakyat Indonesia beli dan pakai mobil terjangkau yang hasil uji tabrakannya bagus !

Saya pernah ke TMMIN (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia) di Kerawang, waktu saat lunch sempat ngrobrol2 ama orang dari TMMIN, ternyata ada yg kerja di Toyota Astra selama lebih dari 10 tahun lho (sejak pabrik Kerawang belum berdiri)

Dan kadang2 TMMIN itu juga beroperasi dari Senin sampai Jumat saja (bila penjualan mobil Nasional lagi kurang bagus)

Rasanya di TAM itu juga yang menduduki posisi2 penting adalah orang2 yg udah lama kerja di TAM.

Bahkan Astra International termasuk salah 1 persh dengan sistem pengelolaan SDM terbaik di Indonesia bukan ?

Oweh bisa komen krn pernah lihat ADM Stamping Plant, bicara ama orang Astra yg bagian melayani magang (waktu kuliah dulu), pernah ke TMMIN, dan 1 uncle oweh ada yg kerja lama sekali di United Tractors (sampai beliau pensiun)

IMO:
Kalo company yg manajemen SDM-nya busuk....pasti gak ada yg tahan kerja lama-lama om.......

Kalo si om maen saham pasti tahu kan kinerja ASII ?

Lalu lihat eksekutif2 "lulusan" ASII waktu zaman om Williem / TP Rachmat dulu, yg skg jadi eksekutif2 di Adaro Corp.

Si om emang udah pernah lihat ke pabrik Toyota belom ?

The Toyota You Don’t Know

Toyota may now be the largest automotive manufacturer in the world, but that position is bringing with it a certain kind of attention it probably would rather not have. The National Labor Committee (NLC) whose mission is to “…help defend the human rights of workers in the global economy” recently released a 65-page report, “The Toyota You Don’t Know” which documents egregious human rights violations by the Toyota Motor Company.


According to Charles Kernaghan, director of the NLC, “celebrities like Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pit, Bill Maher and others have led the way in turning Toyota’s Prius into a symbol of concern for our environment. We hope that these same celebrities will now also challenge Toyota to improve its respect for human and worker rights. As a start, Toyota should cut its ties to the Burmese dictators and end the exploitation of foreign guest workers trafficked to Japan.”


Among the findings of the NLC study were:


Toyota linked to human trafficking and sweatshop abuse: Toyota’s much admired “Just in Time” auto parts supply chain is riddled with sweatshop abuse, including the trafficking of foreign guest workers, mostly from China and Vietnam to Japan, who are stripped of their passports and often forced to work–including at subcontract plants supplying Toyota–16 hours a day, seven days a week, while being paid less than half the legal minimum wage. Guest workers who complain about abusive conditions are deported.

The hybrid Prius is made by low-wage temporary workers. The NLC says that one-third (10,000) of all Toyota assembly line workers in Japan are low-wage temps who have few rights and earn less than 60% of what full time workers do.


The company has a business relationship with Burmese (Myanmar) dictators through the Toyota Tsusho Corporation. As part of the Toyota Group of Companies, the NLC says that Toyota is involved in several joint business ventures with the ruthless military regime in Myanmar (Burma). The dictators use these revenues to repress and torture the people of that nation.


Toyota and the race to the bottom: Toyota is imposing its two-tier,low wage model at its non-union plants in the south of the United States, which will result in wages and benefits being slashed across the entire auto industry.


I haven’t read the entire report yet, but it does sound like an interesting if not provocative read. I know some Toyota enthusiasts will probably be offended by this article, but if these allegations are true, then that’s something to weigh if you are considering buying a Toyota.
