This program aimed at consumers focuses on the assessment and evaluation of the passenger safety aspects of new vehicles. It provides a realistic and independent assessment of the safety performance of some of the most popular cars sold in Latin America and the Caribbean.
There are currently 6 NCAP programs in the world: US NCAP, Euro NCAP, Japan NCAP, Korean NCAP (South Korea), China NCAP and Australasian NCAP. There is also the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) with its crash test program similar to Euro NCAP. As well as Latin NCAP, Indian NCAP is currently also being under discussion.
During the Program Initiation Phase in Latin America, 9 vehicles of different origin and make were purchased and sent to certified laboratories to be assessed, tested and inspected. The results will be presented to stakeholders at the Launch of Latin NCAP.

Adult occupant: The rating for the vehicle was limited to 1 star due to the unacceptably high risk of life threatening injury to the driver's head presented by the steering wheel. The protection offered to the driver's lower legs was weak due to high rearward clutch and break pedal displacement. There were hazardous structures in the area of the fascia that could be impacted by an occupants knees. The body shell was not capable of withstanding further loading. The ruptures to the footwell threatened the driver's feet. The car has an airbag control tell-tale (light) in the instrument panel which will be illuminated after turning the ignition key and making contact. Unfortunately there were NO AIRBAGS in this car. The tell-tale may mislead consumers.

Habis di Bandung banyak makanan enak sih, macet deh. Waktu Sabtu bulan lalu ada isu bentrok antar genk motor tuh sepi banget. Sama, di Jakarta kalau ada isu banjir, jalanan jadi sepi.

Itu VW Gol...mobil regionalnya VW buat daerah sono. Mirip Avanzanya Toyota lah.

Kalo GOLF...kalaupun dicopot semua airbagnya tapi passenger compartmentnya pasti akan tetep bagus di crash test.
Saya udah test kualitas salah satu sedan Geely di pameran (bukan test drive).... BUSET! buat nutup pintu driver aja butuh usaha 3 kali!! Pintunya harus dibanting super kerass....
Belum lagi model corong AC yang ngikutin All New Jazz (bulat sirip2 bisa menutup sempurna) -> begitu tutup lubang AC saya buka, langsung seketika itu juga ga bisa ditutup lagi karena engsel penutupnya dol!..... ini mobil baru... fresh di pameran!... buset dah....
Udah, cukup dua itu aja... Langsung saya cap Geely ancur.... Mendingan beli motor dari pada mobil china....
