nah, kalo udah sampe ke gambar jeroan, AAE... auk ah elep... :mrgreen:

tapi kira2 transfer case itu seperti gear box plus differential juga. karena ada option untuk engage ke diff depan plus ada locker (untuk 4WD, biasanya TC ada lockernya) dan ada option ganti gear (high gear dan low gear).

jadi makin ngerti prinsip kerja penurunan rpm (mencari torsi). cuman masih belum jelas definisi dari low gear dan high gear. kenapa disebut low dan high?

yang saya tangkap, dengan adanya transfer case (4WD) maka rpm bisa diturunkan (efeknya torsi naik sebanding dengan penurunan rpm) sebelum nantinya di turunkan lagi rpm nya (dinaikkan lagi torsinya) di differential depan dan belakang.

analogi ngaco ane gampangnya gini oom zwei.....

dg adanya low gear transmission, gear d lock pd ratio yg kasar......sehingga kendaraan bakal dg mudah melahap segala rintangan. yg pasti kendaraan ga bakal bsa mencapai kecepatan tertingginya, sebaliknya dengan high transmission.....

tp jgn d samakan dg gear 1-2 pd kendaraan yah, soale beda transfer case nya......

mungkin maksudnya rasionya yang kasar. contoh di link sebelumnya, rasionya 2,72:1. mungkin kalo pake high range dikisaran 1 koma (mungkin loh, nebak doang :mrgreen: ). betul ga om doq yg saya tangkap atau maksudnya lain?

munkin disebut low range karena hanya bisa/boleh digunakan di rpm rendah (mobil berjalan pelan) sedang high range bisa dipake di putaran tinggi (kecepatan tinggi)?

menarik bgt tentang 4WD ini cuman baca² dari inet suka bingung karena ga liat barangnya langsung (ribet dengan istilah-istilah spare part, susah ngebayangin wujud barang atau mekanisme kerjanya).

seperti yang ane bilang sebelumnya, low range dan high range di transfer case ini seperti gear 1 dan gear 3 di gearbox. tapi dengan tambahan bahwa transfer case juga sebagai pusat pengendali differential depan dan belakang.

makin kasar gigi (lower gear ratio), semakin pelan speed kendaraan yang didapat pada rpm yang sama. sedangkan semakin halus (higher gear ratio), semakin kencang speed kendaraan yang didapat pada rpm yang sama.

analoginya seperti kecepatan mobil pada 3000rpm di gear 1 untuk low gear vs high gear. pada gear low gear, mungkin cuman dapat 12kpj. tapi pada high gear, mungkin bisa dapat 24kpj.

jadi semakin kasar gear ratio, semakin pelan kecepatan yang ditempu, tapi torsi yang dihasilkan di roda akan semakin besar. seperti gambar yang om zwei kasih link nya.

imho, untuk rock crawling, kalo gak salah, total gear ratio nya bisa 1:200-an deh. karena biasanya dipasang gear ratio yang disebut reduksi kopel. biasanya reduksi kopel ini pake gear 1. jadi dari total 1:60-an, dikali 4, jadinya 1:240-an... cmiiw.
untuk rock crawling, biasanya pake ban 35 inch lebih. bahkan ada yang 40-an. untuk itu pake ratio yang sangat kasar biar makin enak mendaki puncak bukit batu... :frm_tumbright:

iya om, rasio kasar kalo dia low gear. rasio halus kalo high gear.

Fortuner 2.7V juga segitu, persis sama.

Sementara LL dipakai untuk kondisi off-road berat dimana HL sudah tidak mampu mengatasi keadaan. Pada LL, selain diferensial tengah dikunci, perbandingan gigi yang keluar dari transfer case turut diperbesar. Jika pada H dan HL hanya 1:1, saat LL diaktifkan perbandingan gigi keluar dari transfer case dinaikkan menjadi 1:2,566. Torsi melonjak drastis dan mobil bisa merayap tanpa halangan.

pointnya adalah, walau ada teknologi elektronik untuk membantu mobil off road, low gear masih tetap ada di big suv.. :e-dance:

kebayang gak sih, torsi LC200 V8 4.5L turbo diesel, 600NM lebih..!!! ini hampir 2x dari pajero sport, everest. yang berarti tanpa low gear pun, LC200 sanggup menanjak atau menarik beban yang sama beratnya ketika PS/evie menggunakan low gear..
tapi kalo turunan yang licin, tetap sangat dibutuhkan low gear...

@FM:
kayaknya kalo transfer case new prado dan fortuner masih pake yang sama. tapi kalo gearbox, sepertinya new prado sudah beda ya om? soalnya ane lihat udah 5 percepatan. fortie masih 4 percepatan ya?
