TOKYO  Honda's star attraction at the coming Tokyo Motor Show will be the Sports 4 Concept, a sleek all-wheel-drive sport sedan.
Though billed purely as a show car, the Sports 4 Concept could make it into production. The idea is to take the super-handling all-wheel-drive package from Honda's big Acura RL flagship sedan and mount it in a smaller, sharper, more Eurocentric four-door sedan.
It's a cool package that's ostensibly locking horns with the likes of Audi's A4 quattro. But Honda's not ready to go that far or even talk officially about what's under the hood. A Honda source did say, however, that conceptually, the car is in the 2.0-liter class.
The Sports 4 Concept demonstrates a new design language that Honda calls "keen edge and dynamic." The concept comes with a classy, upscale four-seat cabin.
