Mungkin financial crisis Mitsu ganggu mereka masukin mobil bagus seperti Colt yang muka lucu itu.
Tapi dari pengalaman Nissan bangkit dari jurang, Mitsu harus segera launch new and good models fast.
So if KTB keluarin Colt, Outlander, all new Kuda etc, seharusnya bisa bangkit lagi.
Just that UUD. Saat bottom linenya merah banget, memang sulit mau launch mobil baru.
But if Nissan can do it, why not Mitsu ?

Sehubungan dengan pemberitaan di beberapa media massa mengenai penghentian produksi mobil penumpang Mitsubishi Galant dan Mitsubishi Kuda di Indonesia, serta adanya pertanyaan dari para konsumen, maka dengan ini kami menjelaskan bahwa :
1. Penjualan Mitsubishi Kuda dan Mitsubishi Galant baru akan kami stop setelah produksi di assy plant PT. Krama Yudha Kesuma Motors ( PT. KKM ) ditutup. Penutupan PT. KKM tersebut direncanakan pada tahun ini, namun tepatnya belum dapat dipastikan. Bila waktu penutupan PT. KKM sudah fix akan kami informasikan. Setelah assy plant tersebut ditutup, pelayanan After Sales Service kepada para konsumen termasuk ketersediaan suku cadang di pasar akan tetap dijamin oleh PT. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors ( PT. KTB ).
2. Pemberitaan lain yang juga beredar sekarang bahwa :
>Mitsubishi Motor Coorporation ( MMC ) berhenti menjual kendaraan passenger di Indonesia
> Mitsubishi Motor Coorporation ( MMC ) berhenti memproduksi kendaraan di Indonesia
Adalah tidak benar. Mitsubishi akan tetap memposisikan Indonesia sebagai pasar yang sangat penting dalam strateginya, dan akan terus melanjutkan serta mengembangkan produksi maupun penjualan kendaraan termasuk suku cadangnya di Indonesia.
Untuk itu, produksi Mitsubishi Type T120ss, L300, Colt Diesel dan Fuso yang dirakit di assy plant PT. Krama Yudha Ratu Motor ( PT. KRM ) tetap berjalan, dan import CBU ( Mitsubishi Lancer, Grandis, Strada dan L200 Super Pick up atau tipe lain ) dari Thailand akan tetap dilakukan walaupun ada penutupan assy plant KKM.

It's getting worse and worse...
The fiscal results were just released by Mitsubishi Motors Corp. It LOST $4.41Billion in the year ended March 31, 2005, including extraordinary items. The ordinarly loss was $1.66 Billion. That's a lot of red ink. Here's the press release:
Mitsubishi Motors consolidated net sales for fiscal 2004 totaled 2,122.6 billion yen, down 396.8 billion yen from the same period last year (2,519.4 billion yen). Higher net sales in Europe over the previous year failed to counter declines in other regional markets including significant declines in Japan and North America.
Mitsubishi Motors posted an operating loss of 128.5 billion yen, 31.6 billion yen worse than for the previous year. Making a positive contribution were cuts in sales incentives and other advertising expenses. lower material and labor costs and the non-recurrence of credit losses from MMC's financial services operations in the United States booked in the previous fiscal year. However, these savings were more than offset by declines in sales volume, primarily in Japan and North America, and from the impact of fluctuations in the model mix.
Mitsubishi Motors posted an ordinary loss of 179.2 billion yen, 68.9 billion yen worse than for the previous year. Factors contributing to the deterioration included the cost of issuing new shares for the capital increase implemented in fiscal 2004, and equity method investment losses stemming mainly from the deterioration in the results of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation. Mitsubishi Motors posted a net loss for the term of 474.8 billion yen, 259.4 billion yen worse than for the previous year. The main factors contributing to the deterioration were the booking of extraordinary losses including asset-impairment accounting charges in the U.S. and Australia to alleviate future burdens, losses on the sale and disposal of fixed assets, compensation in connection with the transfer of MFTBC shares, free inspection service campaign costs, provisions for losses on restructuring and of restructuring costs.

CONSUMER ALERT: Mitsubishi Halts Sale of Early Eclipse Models

LOS ANGELES  Mitsubishi has halted sales of its redesigned 2006 Eclipse, a sport coupe the ailing Japanese automaker was counting on to jump-start the brand because of a problem with the vacuum brake booster, which could result in brake failure.
The company issued an "urgent notice" to dealers to stop sales and informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the problem on Tuesday, according to Automotive News.
Mitsubishi said up to 1,185 vehicles could be affected. Of those, 44 have been sold to consumers and 400 are at dealerships. The rest are in transit. Mitsubishi said the problem was so serious it will send technicians to buyers' homes to check their vehicles. It said the problem at the plant in Normal, Illinois, should be fixed by the end of the week.

Mitsubishi dari dulu emang ngga cuma maen di sektor otomotif aja, Mitsubishi berinvest juga di bidang2 lain spt yang disebutkan di atas. Bahkan dunia elektronik juga, spt handphone, kulkas, AC dll ...
