Ada ga mesin lain dibawah 1500cc yg lebih canggih dari mesin VW Golf GT 1.4 TSI?

Volkswagen has put out more details on their new 1.4L 121hp TSI engine that will be offered on Golfs, Jettas, Tourans and Passats. The new direct injected engine will be replacing the older 1.6L FSI port injected engine in the lineup. The turbocharged TSI gets a bump in power from 114hp to 121hp and a thirty percent bump in torque to 148 lb-ft at 1500rpm.

While the performance has improved, the new motor uses six percent less gas. The improved torque allows the use of taller gear ratios to allow for similar performance at lower engine rpm. That helps improve the fuel economy and reduces noise levels. A lot of European countries calculate vehicle taxes based in part on engine size so the new smaller engine will reduce owners registration fees without sacrificing performance. The engine will also be paired up with the new seven speed DSG transmission.

Powerful: Maximum torque of 200 Nm in reserve at a low 1,500 rpm
Wolfsburg, 29 May 2007 - Maximum power with minimum fuel consumption – this characteristic has, within a very short period of time, made TSI four-cylinder engines a synonym for a new generation of economical and at the same time sporty Volkswagen engines. Performance specifications: 125 kW / 170 PS and 103 kW / 140 PS. The Golf, Golf Variant, Golf Plus, Jetta and Touran are powered by them. In 2006 and once again in 2007 they were awarded the coveted "Engine of the Year Award". Now Volkswagen is presenting the third TSI; this one is 90 kW / 122 PS strong and will be introduced to the Golf lineup this year.

The new TSI will replace the 1.6 FSI with 85 kW / 115 PS in the mid-term. Decisive advantages of the new turbo engine: Besides being able to reduce fuel consumption by about six percent, the engine's power and torque characteristics were also improved significantly. Due to its smaller displacement, vehicle taxes are also lower. Compared to the 1.6 FSI, maximum torque has now been increased by nearly 30 percent to 200 Newton-meter. And this power is already available at 1,500 rpm. In addition, 80 percent of the maximum torque is already available at speeds as low as 1,250 rpm. In the lower speed range the TSI even exhibits Newton-meter gains of up to 66 percent compared to its predecessor.

Another plus when it comes to economy: Since its maximum torque is available over a broad speed range from 1,500 to 3,500 rpm, conditions are ideal for combining the new TSI with longer and therefore fuel-saving gear ratios. That is why in the future Volkswagen is planning to pair it with the first transverse seven-speed dual clutch transmission in the world (DSG). Its debut will also be in 2007.

0-100 Km/jam dalam 7.9 detik & 13,9 Km/liter
Mesin TSI mampu menghasilkan 125 kW (170 bhp), cukup untuk menggerakkan Golf GT bermesin 1.4 liter hingga 220 km/jam dan 0-100 km/jam hanya dalam waktu 7.9 detik. Sedangkan, torsi sebesar 240 Nm dapat dicapai hanya dari 1.750 rpm hingga 4.500 rpm. Layaknya Turbo pada umumnya, turbo pada TSI juga baru akan aktif pada kecepatan tinggi. Ini betul-betul performa yang luarbiasa untuk mesin sekecil itu.

Performa gila bukan berarti harus mengorbankan efisiensi. Mesin 1.4 TSI pada Golf GT hanya mengkonsumsi 13,9 km/liter. Komposisi antara performa dan hemat bahan bakar ini bisa terwujud berkat teknologi TSI yang secara signifikan emngurangi gesekan mesin. untuk menyaingi performa diatas maka sebuah mobil dengan mesin standard harus berkapasitas kurang lebih 2.3 liter, dan pasti akan mengkonsumsi lebih banyak bahan bakar hingga 20 persen.

Bisa jalan dengan Premium (oktan 88) tapi harus oli full sintetis
Meskipun tidak maksimal tetapi Golf GT bisa dijalankan dengan bensin premium. Namun tetap saja disarankan untuk akai yang 95. Oli pun disarankan menggunakan oli full sintetis untuk mencegah berubahnya viskositas saat temperatur tinggi serta harus rutin diganti.

Berlimpah Penghargaan
Teknologi mesin TSI telah mendapatkan berbagai macam penghargaan di seluruh dunia. TSI menjadi pemenang dalam ‘Paul Pietsch Prize’ Auto Motor Sport, ‘Innovation Award’ dari majalah Popular Science, dan ‘Best New Engine’ yang paling diminati dalam ajang International Engine of the Year Awards 2006. TSI juga mendapat kehormatan di kelas 1.0 hingga 1.4 liter dalam International Engine of the Year Awards. Belum lagi penghargaan lainnya seperti Car Of The Year dalam kategori ‘Most Advanced Technology Award 2008” dalam ajang Researchers’ and Journalists’ Conference (RJC) di Jepang.

Ye, judulnya provokatif bener bro. Iya sekarang nggak ada.

Mahkota itu sekarang masih dipegang Peugeot 207 dengan mesin 1400 cc, 113 HP, dan Jazz dengan mesin 1500 cc 120 HP. Bedanya yg Pug ada 3 pilihan transmisi manual, triptronik dan 2Tronik. Yg Perancis menang di tikungan, yg Jepang menang di jalan lurus (seperti biasanya).

Kalau Mesin 1,4 l Golf ini tiba, walau tenaga lebih hebat, orang cuma akan melihat bahwa mesin Golf lama itu SEIMBANG dari 2 mobil di atas. Pertanyaannya sekarang tinggal :
a. Kapan mulai dijual di Indonesia, apa bisa tahun depan? Kalau iya, mundur lagi deh rencana beli mobil
b. harganya berapa? Kalau bisa di bawah 400 jt tentunya Jazz, 207, Baleno dkk bisa keambil pasarnya.

Ayo cepet dimasukkan ke sini biar Golf ada namanya lagi.

Mesin Pug sama Jazz sih gak ada apa2nya dibanding mesinnya Seat Ibiza Cupra, basenya pake mesin VW yg sama 1.4TSI
Tapi output powernya 180 hp, 250Nm @ 1750 rpm
0-100 kpj: 7.5 detik, top speed 225kpj.
Tapi yg bikin hebat adalah iritnya, yg katanya bisa 1:15 km

Bro Risol1,

Kan disebutkan di situ mesin VW ini menggunakan twin charger, kalo dikomparasi dg mesin NA ya nggak sebanding jadinya. Mungkin komparasinya dg yg sama sama forced induction, misal mesinnya Yaris turbo/Swift supercharger CMIIW.

Mesin 1.4 TSI akan masuk bersama VW Touran CKD ga lama lagi.

Tapi ga tahu versi yg mana, secara 1.4 TSI ada 3 versi menurut tenaganya, dari mekanismenya ada yg twin charger & ada yg Turbo only.

Yg saya appreciate dari mesin ini adalah konon Torsinya yg besar & dihasilkan sejak 1500 RPM, jadi dah kayak TurboDiesel.

Saya pernah test drive "kakak" nya yaitu 1.8 TFSI - Audi A4, yg 1.8 TFSI ini memang benar tarikan awalnya dah kayak TurboDiesel & bisa shifting di RPM 1300 - 1500 dengan enak tanpa "ngeden".

Bener sih bro Eresiie, mungkin gak bisa dibandingkan langsung head to head dengan mesin NA
Saya nulis ttg mesin VW 180 hp ini karena ada bbrp SMer diatas yg udah bandingin mesin NA nya mobil lain dengan mesin TSI nya VW yg dipasang di Golf yg juga udah berturbo (mesin TSI standardnya udah turbo semua).....nah saya cuma nambahin aja bahwa ada lagi nih mesin yg basenya sama tapi outputnya lebih hebat lagi.....hehehehe.....

Kalo bandingin dengan swift/yaris turbo kayaknya kurang tepat karena mesinnya Swift/yaris turbo kan bukan production engine (walaupun forced induction kit nya dibikin sama TRD/Suzuki Sport), artinya cuma ditambahin sendiri untuk dongkrak performa (yg mungkin berakibat turunnya reliability mobil atau FC jadi lebih boros), kalo mesin TSI ini kan memang dibuat sbg production engine yg udah memperhitungkan semua sektor termasuk reliability dan FC, bukan semata2 untuk dongkrak performance aja :mrgreen:
Mungkin mesin swift/yaris turbo bisa lebih besar powernya dari mesin TSI ini karena tujuan utama owner swift/yaris ya pengen tenaga lebih, tapi kalo prinsipal suzuki/toyota disuruh bikin mesin swift/yaris turbo sbg production engine, mungkin outputnya tenaga nya gak sebesar kalo pasang turbo sendiri karena mereka musti ngejar faktor2 tadi (reliability, FC, dsb) :mrgreen:

Ya, tapi masalahnya Jazz ama Pug ini bisa dibeli hari ini juga di showroom. Yg Golf 1,4 apalagi Seat belum bisa. Makanya harapan saya segera aja dijual di sini biar kehausan kita akan mobil VW yang bagus bisa segera dirasakan.

Ini baru yg Golf standar ya, gimana yg GTi nantinya?

Whehehehe buat yang punya jazz terbaru jangan takut nih.. di modif stage 1 tanpa manipulasi ECU(yang notabenenya mbatalin garansi mobil) aja udah bisa tembus nyaris 140dk.. Ga mbayangin kalo dikasih turbo..he2 kalo dibandingin ama mesin yaris yang udah naik kompresi.. naiknya masih mirip2 jazz tuh ada yang bisa jelasin mengapa (yaris udah naik kompresi manipulasi ECU) padahal jazz SOHC lho..

Tanpa bermaksud membela VW & gimanapun kinerja lapangan mesin ini tetap harus kita buktikan sendiri, setdaknya masuknya mesin macam TSI ini menjadi kabar gembira / angin segar bagi para automotive enthusiast & khususnya pecinta mesin gasoline high performa, sebab banyak hal berbeda pada mesin ini dibanding mesin2 gasoline NA yg kita jumpai sehari hari.

Para fans mesin Diesel kemungkinan besar juga akan menyukai mesin macam TSI ini, secara karakteristik Torsinya mirip TurboDiesel, genjotan bawahnya kuat.

Eniwei buswei mesin 1.4 TSI bbrp tahun yg lalu sudah pernah dibahas oleh Mr. Conan & juga ada bbrp postingan ogut bbrp tahun yg lalu, ada yutubnya gimana digenjot dari 50 km/jam s/d 180 km/jam di gigi 5 cukup bejek gas tanpa harus oper gigi, menandakan bandwidth Torsi mesin ini sangat lebar.

soalnya torsinya flat. ini juga karena aplikasi turbo yg ga kecil2 amat, dgn limit/dibungkam di pressurenya, or bukan ga mungkin torsinya(&power) masih menonjok lagi, bukan flat.

mesin2 turbo mobil eropa sebagian udah seperti itu, ada flat torque di rentang rpm tengah;
nah ada lagi yg bisa flat power 4300-6000rpm (lanjutan persis setelah melampaui max & flat-torque 1500-4200rpm) di mesin yg sama2 TFSi ini:

tapi itu kyknya langsung ke ruang bakar tuh,kalo itu air/coolant bisa water hammer dong...

atau maksudnya udara dingin??

dugaan2 doang : bisa jadi "charge air" itu mirip CAI/AAI, cuma yg ini lebih sempurna dgn water-cooled.

ha.. bukannya yg masing2 silinder itu = direct injector nya...
CAI/AAI=cold/auxilary air induction, di model tradisional ada saluran udara lagi yg di bypass masuk ke intake manifold tanpa melewati (diposisikan setelah) air flow meter & filterbox, jadi agak "menipu" ecu karena ada tambahan udara lain yg masuk selain yg lewat & ter-detect air flow meter itu.

oh mungkin juga injector y bro...gw baru inget kalo yang masuk lewat valve tuh udara,bukannya bensin :frm_bang_head: tadi pas bro bilang injector,gw mikir kalo bensin lewat spruyer itu,trus apa gunanya intake valve,setelah berpikir gw baru inget yang masuk lewat valve tuh udara :frm_bang_head:
