replacing fuel pump,filter and fuel relay?
Would like to know why my car want start after replacing fuel pump,filter and fuel relay? I have a 1987 Buick Lesabre Custom.I replaced the fuel pump,fuel filter,and fuel relay.After I finish installing all the parts I turned the ignition switch and my car started right up.I did this job Sunday October 22,2006.Since then my car has not been able to start up and the battery keeps running down.Can some one tell me why I am not able to start my car or why the battery keeps running down,The car has a full tank of gas?Never did lose any gas from changing out the fuel filter or fuel pump.I have done what the answers that the guys gave me on this site and My father installed all the parts for me on my car he retired as a ASE Master Mechanic 48yrs as a mechanice and in the business.I went back and check the wiring for the fuel pump and it installed correctly and I changed out the fuel relays cause they are 20 yrs old.I have done everything that the guys here suggested that I do and the car still want start.Anymore suggestion?

so apa yg dimaksud dg mbl nt "want start", apakah bearti kaga bisa distarter ato apa neh. Klo diliat dari tulisan nt mungkin bearti mbl nt kaga mo distarter yah?


Nah, klo benar tolong dunk kasih masukan nyang lbh jelas, apakah kaga bisa distarternya itu mesinnye kaga muter ato cuma ada bunyi "ck..ck.." aja, ato mesinnye muter, tapi kaga mo idup.
mudah2an nt ngarti tulisan ane, ato mungkin ada bro2 nyang bisa terjemahin tulisan ane ke dalam bahasa "sono".

could you please describe how the engine wont start?
e.g: when you turn the ignition on, does the ignition motor run? or does the engine were "about" to go on but it doesn't?
one more thing, you were saying that you've asked some guy here......but the thing is you've just join our site today.......?

Hualo Mister Adolop Peter....Mungkin di lagi kursus bahasa Indonesia,lagian seh Prof Sjam jawabnya pakai bahasa yang nggak di mengerti Om Mister Adolop Peter.
Ane kemaren juga ngalamin hal yang seperti itu,,tapi bukan karena lepas fuel pump sama lepas ,filter dan teman temanya,kalau lepas atau rusak udah pasti mobil di stater ampe keringetan juga nggak bakalan jalan.
Karena dua hari nggak panasin mobil mobil nggak mau nyala saat stater,langsung ane teringat pelajaran Prof Sjam..." Jumper".
Tapi Ups..jumper pakai mobil siapa,ini kan masih di garansi ,tetangga udah pada pergi semua,kepaksa telepon bengkel langganan untuk meluncurkan anak buahnya dengan tak lupa sarankan bawa kabel jumper. Ternyata nggak mau jalan juga,heran ane,padahal udah ane pastikan prosedur jumpernya benar,tetep nggak mau jalan.kata montir aki udah benar benar sekarat,tapi waktu di dorong mau jalan mesin.Akhirnya aku nurut saja kata montir aki sekaratnya di jual ,ane jual ke bengkelnya di hargai 52 rebon. Sehabis itu ane di suruh pasang aki baru dengan tegangan yang lebih gede. Ane nurut aja ane kasih lagi duit jual aki sekarat di tambah kurangan aki ,totalnya 525 rebon.Nah mobil di bawa ke bengkel lah kata montir ada masalah di kaki mobil,remnya kurang pakem dan di rekom untuk ganti kampas,ane juga nurut aja,terus selang berapa lama bengkel nelpon lagi,selain aki di kelistrikan mobil ane juga ada masalah di remote,kata montir remote bawan mobil sudah sekarat juga,ane nurut juga ganti remote,terus suruh milih mau yang harga 300 rebon apa yang 600 rebon ane spontan langsung jawab yang 300 rebon aja,tapi bengkelnya bilang yang tiga ratus rebon jelek,terlalu sensitif,bagus yang 600 rebon ada garansi 1 tahun.Heran yah ane nurut juga.
Nah ane baru tersadar setelah mobil ane ambil dan tagihan ane bayar...tersadar kalau duit ane jadi habis..
Gara gara nggak di pakai dua hari,kok jadi mahal ongkosnya padahal harusnya anggaran untuk aki aja.

Apakah nt yakin aki di mbl nt benar2 dah koit ?


Apakah sdh dilakukan pengecekan thd aki nt, misalkan dg menggunakan "hydrometer" n volt meter ?
Trus aki dg harga segitu merk apa n ukuran berapa ?. Klo ukuran bisa diliat dari angka yg tertera pada aki, misalkan tipe NS 40 ato tipe NS 60 ato tipe lainnya.
klo bisa tlg diposting tipenya, spy ane bisa kasih tau apakah aki tsb terlalu mahal apa normal2 ajah harganye.
Trus klo dibaca dari postingan nt, maka ane bisa menarik kesimpulan klo aki tsb langsung dipake, jadi kaga ikutin prosedur buat memperpanjang umur aki n ane memperkirakan umur aki baru tsb kaga lewat 2 th......., mudah2an ane salah......
Trus nyang ane heran kenapa nt mau ajah disuruh ganti alarm, krn alarm bawaan mbl khan lbh bagus secara kualitas n kabel2nya juga baik sambungannye.

wadoh bro waktu itu posisi ane serba mepet,mepet di waktu.kalau prosedur jumper sepertinya nggak keliru.kalau benar benar mati sepertinya enggak buktinya masih bisa jalan setelah acara di dorong,montir bilang kondisi udah sekarat,dan ane nimpalin sama aja bentar lagi koit.kalau type lupa,nanti aku liat tapi amperenya 55 lebih gede dari yang lama,kalau langsung pakai kayaknya iyah ane perasaan dua kali beli di situ juga langsung pasang,udah jadi tradisi di situ.sayang yah saya nggak punya waktu banyak.
