Btw,tenaga mesinnya yg 1.8 kok lebih kecil ya??Padahal altis yg dijual skrg tenaganya uda sampai 147 dk...


Gw baca di Autobild VW Tiguan mau keluar di Indo tahun depan,tapi masih akhir tahun 2008..

Hmm, itu altis yg sekarang beneran 147 tk gak sih ? Apa ada sedikit overrate ? hehe... soalnya corolla di US emang hp-nya engga pernah setinggi itu deh kayanya, CMIIW

Hmm...Gw baca di autobild sih,tenaganya emang 147 dk...Mestinya di US tenaganya kan harus lebih besar,mengingat di sana banyak rute2 highway & interstate...

Saya sih tidak yakin kalau Grand Vitara XL7 akan masuk... Saya lebih yakin kalau SX4 sedan seperti yang ada di Pameran masuk dengan nama Baleno... Tapi boleh juga kalau masuk jadi SX Force.. seperti di foto ini.

2009 Toyota Corolla Matrix

Toyota says its new Matrix five-door offers "performance that matters" for drivers who want crossover utility in a compact shape.
It has - wait for it - the "soul of a two-door sports car," says Tim Morrison, Toyota 's marketing manager.
While we've already seen the 2009 Pontiac Vibe, which shares its bodystyle and running gear with the Matrix, this is the first look at the new Matrix (TheCarConnection.com will have its first road test of the Matrix in a few weeks). According to brief specs, the Matrix has a lower stance than before, while it maintains its interior space and seating for five.

New styling is meant to give the Matrix a more coupe-like appearance. It also ends up bearing a passing resemblance to the new Scion xB, particularly around the window frames. Inside, the new interior gets more shapely seats that sit lower, and a new three-spoke steering wheel.

The new Matrix will arrive in showrooms early next year in three different versions: Standard, S and XRS. All come with front-wheel drive, but the S versions can also be ordered with all-wheel drive.

Two different engines will be offered. The first is a 132-horsepower, 1.8-liter four with 128 pound-feet of torque. Toyota estimates that with the standard five-speed manual, it will deliver 26/32 mpg. With a four-speed automatic, that drops to 25/31 mpg.

The uplevel engine is a 2.4-liter four with variable valve timing and 158 horsepower, along with 162 pound-feet of torque. With a new five-speed automatic transmission, this combination will deliver 21/29 mpg, Toyota says.

Standard safety equipment on all Matrix wagons includes dual front, side, and curtain airbags, along with active headrests and anti-lock brakes. Stability and traction control is standard on the top XRS model, optional on the other versions.

All versions of the Matrix include power mirrors; tilt and telescoping steering; an auxiliary jack; and a rear defogger. The S version adds power locks and power windows; a 115-volt power outlet; cruise control; a flat-folding front passenger seat; a CD player with MP3 capability, and a body kit. To that gear, the XRS version adds 18-inch wheels; a tower brace; stability control; and a leather trimmed steering wheel with audio controls.

Options for the lineup will include a six-speaker CD audio system; DVD navigation; XM with NavTraffic; heated mirrors; and power options for those versions not equipped with them as standard.

New XL7 (yang sekarang tidak pakai hyphen) dibuat oleh CAMI di Canada... Perusahaan kolaborasi Suzuki dengan GM. Kemungkinan besar hanya tersedia untuk pasar US dan Canada. Di Jepang sendiri juga tidak ada... Mesinnya besar V6 3600cc. Jatuhnya bisa nyaris di segmen harga kelas premium.

Maksudnya versi pendek=hatcback itu "livina" pak? Takutnya nanti ada yg rancu dengan pengertian "livina" versi panjang.
Soalnya yg dijual sekarang (mpv-versi panjang) kan namanya "grand livina".

Instead, most likely because of the Lancer’s increase in size and Japan’s regulations with car dimensions, it will be known as the Mitsubishi Galant Fortis. As you all know, the Galant is a class larger than the Lancer, and a version has made it’s way into Proton stables as the Perdana.

This is probably the same reason as why there is a smaller Toyota Corolla Axio in the Japanese market, and another larger Corolla Altis which is wider and longer than the Axio, otherwise tax brackets would change or something like that.


However, the same Lancer in it’s high performance 4WD form will still be called the Lancer, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X to be exact. The standard gearbox for this car will be a 6-speed automated manual transmission - it would be interesting to see how this automated manual transmissions performs compared to other automated manual technology leaders like Volkswagen DSG.

Katanya KTB bakal masukin LANCER EVO X tetapi mesin standar saja ga samape hp 280hp. Dan GALLANT FORTIS juga sudah dipersiapkan. Taon depan MOBIL BARU bakal bergairah lagi asyik. KTB mulai lagi dengan sedannya.. Ada rencana ganti NEW CIVIC gw dengan LANCER. Soalnya penggemar LANCER dari kecil....
