Independent suspension FISS dan monocoque chassis nyaman top, tapi FISS atau IFS articulation pada saat offroad kurang, makanya toyota pakai KDSS di land cruiser prado dan 200 series untuk disconnect swaybar dan nambah articulation suspensi depan.

Tapi bicara merc, W164 juga uda lumayan murah kemaren saya cek, cm gak tau apakah dia ada low range dan locker. Kalau RX350 gen 3 AWD dan ada central dift lock

Depan. Blkg
Solid. Solid
Ifs. Ifs
Ifs Solid

Ato bisa kita bagi 2, based orientasi pakainya
1. Passenger comfy ...mis LC 100, 200
2, heavy ute....mis lc70, 80, 105

*utk pemakaian per daun, dia ini biasa dipasangkan dg yg mana? Solid/ ifs?

* paket hemat, modal nenteng board papan ganjel di mbl" yg mw adv/ofroad (ngga tau namanya sy, bentuknya kyk papan cucian jaman bahela gitu, biasa sy liat d gbr" vid mbl offroad) ngga nolong y ?
semisal mbl kita less equipped (2wd suv/awd) kena stuck kepater gitu?

Intinya buat nyubie, seberapa tega kita bakal pakai itu mobil...

Kalau buat Adventure, dcab aja cukup.
Aksesories seminim mungkin, biar hemat bbm dan bisa jogging ama om Rizqy di toll.
Suspension set Lifting 1", ban at 32", electric atau mechanical locker, resque tools: karung ama sekop, strap.

Kalau extreem: ganti mobil yg bisa long travel suspension, cage, winch, dll.. dll... Bahaya ini, modif nya bisa lebih mahal drpd harga mobil.

Definitely happy dengan 200 series and wouldn't go otherwise. Dl sempet postpone mau beli 200 series karena mau coba Range Rover yang L322. Still would pick the 200 series any day, lebih kedap dan lebih reliable. Cm 200 daily istri, saya daily 105 hahahah

Live axle merujuknya ke solid axle om.. Kalo IFS itu independent front suspension, tipe ini yang paling banyak beredar saat ini.. Cth hilux vigo, fortuner, trooper, PJS, navara semua IFS

Kalo konfigurasi yang cocok, semua akan ada plus minusnya menurut saya..
misal
Solid - solid = artikulasi suspensi paling ok ground clearance biasanya paling tinggi, offroadability paling maksimal, juga ketahanan kaki2 paling superior, minusnya kenyamanan biasanya terkorbankan contoh: JK, JL, VX80, jimny, Gclasse pre 2019
IFS - solid = artikulasi suspensi depan terbatas, tp terkompensasi dengan artikulasi live axle belakang, kaki2 agak rawan kalo serampangan cara pakainya pas offroad, biasanya kelemahan di cv joint, grond clearance medium, kenyamanan di berbagai macam medan relatif baik contoh: prado, fortuner, pjs, trooper, gclasse 2019dll
all independent = artikulasi suspensi dan ground clearance relatif jelek (tergantung desain kaki2) jadi kemungkinan bakal sering ngangkat ban kalau lewat trek yg butuh travel suspensi maksimal, banyak komponen kaki2 yang perlu diwaspadai perawatannya, kenyamanan paling superior cth: mitsubishi shogun (pajero), bbrp tipe range rover

pemilihan mobil tergantung penggunaannya

imho, kalo untuk all round, termasuk ke kondangan, ke pasar, antar anak sekolah, road trip, mudik akap, blusukan, camping:
1. prefer 4x4 yang dilengkapi dengan full time 4wd
2. kalo boleh milih si, body Defy 110 - karena entah kenapa bodinya keren, lain nya VX-R - karena sepertinya mudah perawatan dan sedikit bandel, pilih matic biar gak capek kopling pas jalan, cegah akward start pas nanjak, kehilangan torsi dll

Kalau masalah bonggol sih bias diakalin dengan cara positioning yang bener untuk lewat obstacle.. Tp memang bakal jauh lbh susah jaga traksi kalau 4 wheel independen, karena bagaimanapun travel suspensi ga bakal sebagus yang live axle depan belakang atau IFS.. Untuk kasus IFS biasanya bonggol gardan depan bukan bagian paling rendah, cenderungnya ngumpet di deket2 karter oli, justru ini yang harus lebih diperhatikan
Sya pake ML 270 CDI om yg built up germany matic low gear, systemnya 4matic sih jadi kalo dipelajarin kyknya mirip2 spt anti slip deh,tapi kalo yg manual sya gak tau ya krn kebanyakan manual 270 ini. klo enak ya forti vnt 2015.
