It was meant to be the big surprise of next week’s Tokyo Motor Show – but we can now reveal Nissan's big secret!

After months of spy shots, a raft of teaser images and plenty of high performance promises, these are the first official pictures of Nissan’s new GT-R supercar.

While the firm hoped to release images to coincide with the car’s unveiling in Japan, an American publication has broken the agreed picture embargo and published the shots early.

As you can see, the final production model has remained close to the original concept, with sharp angles and a distinctive front-end. At the rear the new model retains the GT-R’s trademark round lamps, while the tapered window line also helps the Japanese model to stand out.

Inside, the design is less modern, with round air vents and a prominent centre console surrounding the race-inspired dials. These pictures also reveal the Nissan’s hi-tech dashboard mounted switches for controlling the suspension, four-wheel drive system and traction control systems.

The two-door model has two compact rear seats and a conventional boot.

When the new flagship goes on sale next year, it will be powered by a front mounted V6 engine developing around 470bhp. All wheel drive and the latest differential technology will help to give the GT-R the grip it needs to provide supercar performance. Early indications are that the 0-60mph sprint takes only 3.5 seconds!

Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn explains: “Today’s technology allows us to make a high performance car, a flagship car for Nissan that can be adapted to all the driving conditions across the globe.”

temen gw di amrik juga korban 350Z bego temennya(bule sana). di belokan 350Z oversteer n nabrak temen gw yang lagi di mobil lain. si 350Z akhirnya nginap di motel istimewa tuh, yang pake ranjang beton

ngomong soal belokan... apakah ada yang sudah pernah coba jalan tol JORR yang belok kearah Serpong (jadi dari arah Pondok Indah)... belokan itu khan tajam ke kiri... tapi kalau dirasakan tidak ada kemiringan sama sekali... . Setahu saya, belokan di jalan cepat (highway)... harus ada kemiringan untuk mencegah gaya centripetal (/ centrifugal...?) Yang saya rasakan benar atau tidak ya...

gw belum pernah lewatin JORR Bintaro Serpong, tapi belokan kayak gini bahaya juga neh. kalo boleh bro lewatin nya pake mobil apa? sistem suspensi beberapa mobil setau gw memungkinkan kemiringan mobil antara kiri dan kanan berubah sehingga rasanya adem2 aje,

Di jalan tol dalam kota, pas didepan pluit (persimpangan antara arah tomang dan arah bandara dari sunter) juga agak tajam tuh, banyak banget mobil nyerempet guard rail. :D

Saya pakai Toyota RUSH.... atau karena SUV yang titik "g" agak tinggi.... jadi terasa tidak nyaman... agak-2 terasa body roll...

maksudnya dari arah Grogol/Tomang menuju ke Priok khan ???? Iya betul, disitu juga kurang miring rasanya......

Nissan merilis ilustrasi detail drivetrain (mesin-transmisi-gardan) dan sistem suspensi Nissan GT-R yang memberi gambaran perubahan yang dilakukan dibandingkan pendahulunya. Yang paling mencolok adalah penempatan transmisi. Sistem transmisi kopling ganda (dual-clutch transmission) dan kombinasi transfer case diletakkan di belakang, bersanding dengan rear differential. Ini membuat sport car ini lebih seimbang dalam pembagian beban, dimana transmisi, rear differential dan transfer case menyeimbangkan berat mesin dan front differential.

Turbocharger yang dipakai bukan lagi buatan Garett seperti dulu tapi bikin IHI, Jepang. Rumah turbin menyatu dengan engine exhaust manifold. Besar kemungkinan ini dilakukan untuk meghemat ruang dan pertimbangan emisi agar posisi catalytic converters sedekat mungkin dengan turbocharger. Setiap turbocharger di iringi dua catalytic converter, sehingga total ada empat. Dua intercooler dipasang, saling membelakangi dengan dua lobang masuk. Ini menjaga aliran udara masing-masing silinder terus menerus terpisah. Ini dilakukan agar pengukuran volume udara bisa benar-benar presisi.

Namun tidak banyak informasi tentang control system. Sistem elektronik yang terpadu pada GT-R seperti drive-by-wire throttle bodies, dual-clutch automatic transmission dan electronic controlled front differential memberi peluang pada Nissan untuk menciptakan sistem traksi yang melampaui sistem serupa yang ada sekarang ini. Sistem penggerak empat roda-nya juga menggunakan lebih banyak data masukan dibandingkan pendahulunya. Pada model sebelumnya, respon diberikan berdasarkan masukan data speed sensors, throttle position sensor dan g-sensor.

Emang mobil Jepang paling top, sports car eropa yg 6-8cyl spt audi bmw merc boleh diadu nih, even vs ferarri.
Apalgi nanti tunggu muncul penganti NSX dan GTO heh3..yummy
Nissan cuma perlu 3800cc twinturbo aja itu pun masih jauh dari full-potential nya, spt R32/R33nya banyak yg di-explore di atas 1000 hp. plus taon 1989 aja R32 udah aplikasi advanced AWD ATESSA-ETS.
GTR 2008 ini di Nurburgring bisa brp ya, kalo bs under 7.5 minutes.... WOW!
