Styling itself stil preferring Chevys si, lebih santai stylingnya, ga menor macem Fords :D

Gak begitu suka forced induction; kalau output mau gede, mending mesin n/a gede. Foced induction juga bukan tanpa konsekuensi. Thermal load-nya besar sekali terutama karena kapasitas mesin yang didesain kecil. Ditambah turbo lag; gw maunya reaksi mesin seperti mesin sport bike yang galak dan torsi tersedia langsung.

Ditambah, di sini tidak seperti di Indo struktur PKB-nya, mesin dengan kapasitas besar tidak "dihukum" melalui PKB, tapi melalui pajak di BBM-nya. Sistem yang seperti ini gw anggap lebih adil karena mesin dengan forced induction belum tentu lebih irit untuk power output yang setara.

Ngomong2 soal styling, hampir semua sekarang menor dengan chrome di-mana2. GM trucks yang generasi sekarang (K2XX) juga begitu. Toyota Tundra masih mending tapi RAM gila juga chrome-nya. Nissan masih diem2 kelihatannya, Titan masih belum ganti generasi, kabarnya sekitar tahun depan.

Gara2 mantengin trit ini, belakangan ane jadi tertarik banget sama SUV & truck amerika sejenis2 gini... :ungg:

Om kalo GMT 800 & 900 ini punya penyakit apa aja ya? Ato kuat disiksa2? Kalo kondisi2 di pasaran sana banyak yang bagus2 ato udah pada busuk bekasnya? :mky_01:

Tergantung disiksa seperti apa. Kalau cuma untuk masuk ke proyek2 konstruksi rumah sih tahan2 saja. Kalau untuk 100% off road seperti di pertambangan, gak tahu itu. Kalau dipakai buat kota2 termasuk bandel, apalagi untuk yang model 3/4-ton ke atas.

GMT-800 ada problem dengan karat, tapi itu untuk daerah2 yang jalannya ditaburi garam selama musim dingin. Bagian bawah kabin, spakbor belakang, pipa2 rem, dust shield rem belakang, stabilizer, axle belakang, dan chassis di bagian belakang. Kalau problem elektronik hanya yang kecil2, murah dan bisa diperbaiki sendiri.

Kalau di daerah2 yang jalanan tidak digarami, probem karatnya jauh lebih kecil dan biasanya problemnya minor seperti flange di pipa knalpot.

Memang bisa yang bekasnya masuk ke Indo?

Kemarin malam cari2 lagi dengan jarak radius lebih jauh. Ketemu dua 2WD CCSB (Crew Cab Short Bed), yang satu expired pagi ini, mungkin terjual. Yang satu lagi masih ada tapi terletak di Houston TX; kira2 1700km dari sini.

Warna merah, trim SLE, Texas Edition (menurut penjual, padahal tidak ada emblemnya), dan sudah pakai dual exhaust. Mesin 6.2l kalau dilihat dari VIN. Dibanding yang biru, perlengkapan lebih miskin. Yang tidak ada: heated seats, power adjustable pedals, parking sensor, rearview camera, leather seats, center console, power seats, SUV dashboard, dan yg kecil2 lainnya.

Kayaknya karena ada Texas Edition, dapat chrome di mana2 termasuk velg 20". Foto2-nya 5-10 menit lagi.

Yang GMT800 itu sudah dijual tahun lalu, makanya cari2 lagi. Itu bukan CCLB, tapi ECSB (Extended Cab Short Bed). Di GMT800 ada 3 macam bednya, yang 5.7, 6.5, dan 8 feet. Kalau Crew Cab, bednya 5.7' atau 8'. Kalau Extended Cab dan Regular Cab, bednya 6.5' atau 8'. Jadi kalau ada yang ngomong "Short Bed", itu bisa 5.7' atau 6.5' tergantung kabinnya. Long Bed hanya 8'.

GMT800 merah termasuk ECSB, jadi bednya 6.5'.

Interiornya truk seperti itu, lebih pendek supaya ruangan lebih lega. Kalau yang SUV agak berbeda walaupun instrument cluster dan setir sama. Ini contohnya dashboard SUV untuk Avalanche, Silverado LTZ, dan Sierra Denali.

Overall package sy lbih suka yg atas om.. krom2an di truk amrik walau sering lebay tp somehow asik diliat.. mgkin krn dimensinya yg bongsor2

Yang atas generasi GMT K2XX ('14), sedangkan yang bawah GMT 900 ('10).

K2XXnya baru jalan 18k miles, mesin 5.3l GenV 355 HP & 383 lb-ft, SIDI, VVT. Persneling masih 6-sp a/t bawaan dari GMT900 dan yang 8-sp a/t baru keluar untuk yang keluaran 2015.

Yang GMT900 sudah jalan 58k miles, mesin 6.2l GenIV 403 HP & 417 lb-ft. Trim levelnya paling tinggi LTZ, jauh lebih tinggi dari K2XX yang hanya "mid grade".

Harga mirip2, terpaut $2k, mungkin bisa lebih kecil lagi perbedaannya setelah ditawar.

Mobil kayak gini selalu jadi idola ya di Amerika setelah muscle cars.. Tapi as always, mobil begini interiornya selalu cheap and cranky..

Jaman sekarang sudah bagus interiornya, terutama yang versi lux/SUV. Jauh sekali dari jaman GMT800 yang predecessor-nya GMT900.
