iseng2 search, di amrik malah octane 87 dan jg disana kan bedanya sama 91 ga jauh. Kalo disini karena si kuning di subsidi, jadi bedanya jauh.
Mereka disana yg gajinya lebih tinggi, dan perbedaan dalam cents aja masih mikirin ginian.
Kita yg per capita lebih rendah incomenya dan perbedaan octane 88 dan 91 lumayan jauh, apa ga perlu buat consideration?

While using gasoline that carried a lower octane rating than the engine required was once a sure path to disaster, that is no longer the case. Nearly all automobiles sold in the United States since the 1990s will happily run on regular-grade 87-octane gasoline without causing engine damage, a benefit of the electronic controls that now manage all engine functions.
Before the switch to fuel injection and computerized controls, engines were subject to damage from prolonged knocking. But today’s engine management systems incorporate electronic knock sensors, which detect the condition and adjust the ignition to stop the problem. As a result, it is almost impossible to hurt a current engine by using 87-octane fuel, industry experts say.
“Modern engines prevent the damage from happening before it starts,” said Patrick Kelly, a fuels analyst with the American Petroleum Institute. “It wouldn’t impact fuel economy. And it wouldn’t impact the emissions. What it would impact is the performance.”
Porsche, for example, acknowledges that any of its modern production cars can be run on regular fuel without the risk of damage.
. BMW, for example, recommends that all the cars it sells in the United States use premium fuel, but they will run on regular.
“There generally isn’t any harm done to the engine by using lower-octane fuel,” said a BMW spokesman, Thomas Plucinsky. “Because our engines do have very good forms of knock sensing and are able to deal with lower-octane fuels, you will not have any drivability issues. You will, however, lose some of the performance.”
it's a no wonder kita paling gampang di brainwash..itu kenapa org bule lebih disebut lebih kritis karena mereka beda dikit pun ga takut disebut cheap, atau apapun tapi berani cari tau sampai titik aslinya. kalo kita..takut dibilang murahan, dibilang nyolong jatah subsidi org miskin (hello.....even JK bilang ada mafia minyak)...
ane dulu pake sibiru namun bbrp yg pakai merc, alphard, accord semua yg running lebih dari 100rb km aja ga pernah ada masalah dan mereka bukan org tidak mampu, yg menggunakan sikuning malah yg super rich..dulu ane berpikirnya ya karena mereka ga masalah kalo rusak, tinggal ganti baru..jadi ane stik to sibiru namun makin waktu berjalan, bener2 ga ada masalah dgn mesinnya.. sebenernya mesin rusak lebih karena penggunaan oli yg belinya maunya asli tau2nya dpt palsu, yg tunda2 ganti oli, yg terlalu di gas gila2an, ada temen yg setiap jalan spt dikejar sedan rpm 6000-8000 ampir setiap saat.
tapi sayangnya juga, masa subsidi gila2an udah mau berakhir..hanya paling bbrp bulan lagi perbedaan sikuning dan sibiru tidak akan lebih dari 2rb lagi yg artinya ga worth it untuk pake sikuning..for now, use it to your max advantage
