Toyota has replaced the 1.4 liter VVT-i engine (4ZZ-FE) in the Toyota Auris with a new 1.33 liter Dual VVT-i engine (1NR-FE) that produces more power, more torque, more mileage, less CO2 emissions, yet has a smaller displacement and also weighs 13kg less despite having a more complicated Dual VVT-i drivetrain, thanks to pistons that are 36% lighter among other improvements. It’s also more compact, and Toyota claims it is the same size as the inline-3 1.0 liter VVT-i engine.
The new engine also has stop-start capability, which automatically stops the engine when the car is stationary, the transmission is in neutral and the driver’s foot is off the clutch pedal. When the driver presses the clutch, the engine is restarted, and Toyota claims a potential fuel savings and CO2 reduction of up to 15% thanks to this.
For a smoother restart, Toyota says this new engine is 9dB quieter and 0.3 seconds quicker to start compared to the outgoing 1.4 liter engine.

With the new engine also comes a new 6-speed manual transmission with ratios to match the new torque curve. Both the 5th and 6th gear are overdrive gears for a reduced cruising engine RPM during highway driving. Toyota says this new transmission can handle more torque than the outgoing 5-speed unit and is 11% smaller and has 15% less components despite having one extra gear ratio.
All these improvements come with a price of course. The new Auris 1.33 liter models are on average about £200 more expensive than the outgoing 1.4 liter models.

seingatku mesinnya masih Naturaly Aspirated trus RPM tembus 11500 RPM dan
di jepang mesin itu ilegal dipake di jalan raya.
Ada yang ingat mesin itu type berapa??
Di indonesia ada kok yang speknya sama kayak di film Initial D.Punyanya Garda oto,dipakein ke Toyota Great Corolla.speknya sih klo yang di initial D 250 Hp klo di Garda oto sekitar 240an Hp.
Tuningnya habis 1.5 miliar karena dikirin langsung sama mobilnya ke TRD Jepang

kalo ga salah tadinya mo di masukin mesin suzuki kann... cuman kaga jadi.... btw 4AG-E silvertop nya jg uda di modif kan yahh... apanya gt di bagian mesin yg dimodif ama bokap nya takumi.... Waduh mesin suzuki..suzuki apa bro kok kayaknya ga ada mesin suzuki yg legend bgt dimasa itu..??secara yg sembalap di initial-D pake mobil2 speed legend.. Nissan GTR n silvia,Mits Evo,Honda Civic type R,Mazda miata,RX-7,toyota trueno..

nah itu dia bro... waktu itu kan critanya ae86 nya blom rusak cuman uda mulai menunjukan tanda2... nah waktu itu kan critanya bokap takumi, ama pemilik pom bensin dan satu orang tuner pergi ke workshop nya si tuner itu... trus mereka cuman bilang suzuki gt.. tapi kaga di jelasin atau dikasi liat mesin nya...

kenapa di Indonesia belum keluar yang pakai 2.5 L 2KD-FTV I4. padahal irit dan kencang. apalagi ruang mesin luas, sehingga tidak mudah terjadi pengerakan pada mesin ketika terlambat jauh dalam penggantian oli. daripada 2.7 L 2TR-FE I4 hanya kuat dalam akselerasi, namun lemah ketika melaju akibat banyak tekanan gravitasi dan udara ketika mencapai + 150KM. sehingga sulit mencapai +200KM untuk mesin standar.

cuma gatau kode mesinnya
D4D juga dipakai oleh model Hiace dan Hilux. dan itu 2.5l dan 2.7l

Stiker GARDEN SPEED di kaca depan. Yup full TRD. Tapi keknya udah lama deh ni Greco TRD, jaman2 awal balap turing marak lagi, awal taun 2000an.
