Er, I found the answer to my own question (and answer). Looks like I was right :
After touring the factory we also visited the Suzuka circuit, where I was taken for a spin by one of the track's resident experts in one of the outgoing Civic Type R models - and told that Honda was trying to get the new version of the car for sale in South Africa when it hits production late next year.
This sizzling performance model will get wild bodywork add-ons as well as a modified engine with an expected power output of about 185 kW. It will only be available as a three-door.
But I have another question on my mind. Mr. Obs, Mr. Herry, please do share your opinions on this :
Pada berita tentang Civic type-R di atas, disebutkan bahwa Civic type-R, which will only be available as a 3-door, akan diproduksi di Jepang (konon akan menggunakan mesin dari Honda S2000 lama).
Tapi kita tahu bahwa Civic hatchback diproduksi di UK dan tidak tersedia di Jepang. Sementara, ada satu bodystyle lagi yaitu coupe (Civic Si di USA), yang juga tidak tersedia di Jepang.
Apakah the 3-door Civic Type-R akan menggunakan design Civic hatchback Euro (tinggal dikurangi 2 pintu), atau akan berbasis Civic sedan JDM, dan akan mirip dengan Civic coupe USDM (only with JDM front and rearlights)?
