Waduh menurutku kok mahal yah?
Oh seandainya Fortuner dibikin "mirip" TLC kecil!

Kalo kiri kanannya disandingkan dgn X-Trail dan CR-V, keliatannya Fortuner bakal yg paling macho, paling berbintang2, paling keren, paling gagah dll ... ibarat si Fortuner itu rajanya dan X-Trail or CR-V adalah selir2nya or maybe ratunya kali ya heheheTeman2, saya punya satu gambar yang pasti bisa meyakinkan kalian bahwa Fortuner ini tidak kemahalan (ton for ton)

Eh adik kecilnya Land Cruiser itu kan Prado.Oh seandainya Fortuner dibikin "mirip" TLC kecil!

Dasar Toyota,
Well, teman2, u be the judge.

Mr. Obs, thats what people call price elasticity or inelasticity of demand.
Toyota pasti pikir, wah barang saya laku, dan rupiah lagi loyo. Dari pada saya tekor nanti, naikan saja. Toh masih banyak yang beli.
Cuman if I am them, don't do that too often. People can get upset, meskipun 2 juta out of 300 is small. But orang kan maunya " Kepastian ".
I think thats the problem of being the King. Ambitious to be kings biasanya malah kasih discount 3 juta pre-launching like we get for our c24s. The King can afford to be a bit " bossy ".
Tapi itulah the power of a good product. When the product is good, seperti restaurant jorok, WCnya jorok, pelayannya kurang hajar, eh tetap banyak orang mau makan di situ.
Thats why Carlos Ghosn mottonya " There are no problems in an automotive company that good products CANNOT solve ! ". The Fortuner just proved him right !

bukannya melihat demand and supply!
Lagi pula TAM mgk mikir, masak sih orang mau mbatalin inden gara2 naik 2juta 3juta?
Siapa lawannya coba?
Ford Escape?
"Dady Nissan Terano?" eh beda CC ya?
TLC,Nissan Patrol wah harganya selangit!

Jee.. this car is not as I thought before.... Untuk harga segitu..(290-300)... rasanya kok kemahalan. Anak saya bilang..interiornya kok mirip banget sama Inova..(emang sama
)....
However.. bener hukum ekonomi..demand and supply..

Coba kalau Fortuner 3.0L D4D dengan transmisi double : AT and MT for the 4x4 system, combined with the huge 343 Nm of torque, ini baru 'Fortuner asli'.. interior pun tidak akan terlalu dipikirkan kalau performancenya buas begitu..

here's a review done by Bangkok post published last Oct 14.
Capable oil-burner with looks
The Toyota Fortuner 3.0-litre diesel variant is an awesome looker in its class thanks to its Lexus-ish influence that can be seen inside and outside.
With a sticker price of about 1.2 million baht, the Fortuner is averaging about 3,500 units per month in volume sales and keeping customers waiting for about six months before they can actually get their hands on a Fortuner.
This gem of a sport-ute is selling like no other SUV with an unprecedented 75% market share enabling the Toyota Fortuner to dominate this segment.
It's some consolation from the monthly beating Toyota takes from Isuzu in the one-tonne pickup truck segment, albeit that the Isuzu MU-7 SUV does not have a coil-spring setup and prefers not to be included in the same class as the Fortuner.
It's a lot of Vigo pickup up front and a lot of the dated Harrier (Lexus RX) at the rear. All in all, combining to make a very handsome sport-ute.
Like its 2.7-litre petrol sibling, this 3.0-litre oil-burner is a seven-seater that is just so practical and versatile.
The rear seats can be stowed away like it's done in the Land Cruiser Prado: wrapped up to the sides of the cabin. Heavy packing shopaholics are welcome as this Tibetan trip showed that it can stow about 10 pieces of medium-sized luggage bags plus wintercoats of all shapes and sizes.
The interior cabin is carefully planned out with ergonomically designed cupholders everywhere - side door panels, behind the middle console, in front of the automatic gear lever and near the side airvents.
What appears to be a minor drawback is its inability to make all three rows of passengers comfortable.
Me and Khun Somwin were comfortable in the first row. Both female journos in the second row appeared comfortable. But an educated guess tells me that if there were third row passengers, they'd not be as comfortable as in a 911 - unless adjustments are made to the second row.
Toyota's product planning division says that although the Fortuner's wheelbase was shortened from 2,850mm to 2,750mm, the front overhang was extended from 730mm to 880mm for enhanced safety reasons.
I'd take a shorter wheelbase any day for more agile off-roading.
With the coil-spring setup for the rear suspension, the first comment from our rear passengers was how comfortable it was compared to the Vigo (or anything with leaf springs to say the least).
For a sport-utility, ride comfort - without mentioning the contribution of Bridgestone Dueller 265/70 R16 tyres - was commendable, but traversing over potholes it still generated a noisy reaction.
It's a relief that Fortuner's OEM tyres weren't used because they wouldn't pass the test for this particular trip. Personally , I was very glad that mud treads with huge tread patterns weren't used, otherwise my front windshield would have been smashed to smithereens. Bridgestone Dueller All-Terrain was the perfect choice although prone to a little sliding on gravel.
Shifting gears to the Fortuner's full-time four-wheel-drive technology, in layman's terms is made up of three differentials, front, rear and middle.
The transfer case has a 4H or four-high ratio for high speed driving, which enhanced vehicle stability.
Shift up from 4H to 4HL and the centre differential lock is activated which works like part-time 4WD on four-high - quite hard to do a U-turn in this mode but great for free-wheel scenarios.
There's no limited slip like its Vigo siblings which made it awkward in corners at times.
I didn't make much of a fuss over the Fortuner's 343Nm and 163 horses under the hood because it's the best (on paper) in its segment by far.
Straight line speed of about 160-170kph is easily achieved but not so confidently, so to speak. It's an SUV!
But what endeared me is the torque without having to rev high. Buckets of torque. In fact, it accelerates even better than the 2.7-litre petrolhead despite carrying 100kg more in engine weight over its petrol counterpart which also explains why the front suspension was intentionally made a tad stiffer.
However, at altitudes of 4,000-5,000m even the Fortuner found it hard to breathe and was lethargic.
The instrument readings was a nice touch where outside temperature, time, average speed and average fuel consumption were done with fingertip functions on the steering wheel.
Measuring the Fortuner's thirst on a 2,385km trek at speeds averaging 40kph at times might not be fair, but we managed about 9kpl for most of the trip which is a reasonable rate.
The diesel Fortuner is a better alternative compared to its petrol sibling when it comes to the oomph factor and fuel consumption.
And at 999,000 and 1.219 million baht for the standard G and V models respectively, it sure is a lot of value for money for three rows of sporty utility seats in its segment.

Mr. aidan, sebaiknya anda cek status indent lagi. Siapa tahu bisa dapat dalam bulan2 ini. Katanya Januari depan harga mungkin akan naik lagi.
