automated manual, artinya transfer power dari mesin ke transmisi tetep pake kopling (clutch) seperti mobil2 manual kebanyakan, tapi perpindahan giginya diatur sama komputer. Jadi gak usah injek pedal kopling lagi.
Transmisi ini beda sama kebanyakan mobil manumatic lain (kaya PS, Honda Accord, dll).
Audi namain transmisi ini R-tronic, yg IMO adalah cuma rebadgenya dari trans "Egear" yg dipake sama Lambo Gallardo.
Jeleknya transmisi ini kalo dibanding manumatic adalah kalo jalan stop and go pake fully auto mode, perpindahan giginya gak sehalus manumatic (alias agak jerking).
