ngomong2 soal karbu king, btw PJ ama MJ nya dirubah gak? Soalnya gue pake juga karbu king ori "baru" langsung pasang di new shogie 110 cuma setel angin aja. Tapi kok kurang enak ya, terutama buat jalan panjang agak nanjak tenaganya kurang motor jadi ngeden. mtrnya udah di korek dikit kemnya tapi masih standar kohar... mohon pencerahannya!!!

Oh..i see, so i try to write both language that all reader can understand. So, i want to ask how indonesian riders modify their shogun. i understand this shogun's spec will be different for indonesian and malaysian market. so, i just want to get some tips. i already read posts before, but i only can understand just a few.

So,the most basic modify...what the first step? change clutch plate..etc..

First of all, we need to know the specification of your Shogun 125RR. AFAIK, there's different specs between Indonesian market and Malaysian.

In Indonesia, the Shogun 125RR is equiped with Throttle Position Switch on top of the carburetor (connected to the CDI to control the debit of the fuel flow). Although this part is essentially for controlling the fuel efficiency, somehow it's limiting the performance of the Shogun 125RR. So, most of the Shogun Rider disabled this unit, or even replace the carburetor with higher spec (such as Keihin PE24) to boost up the performance.

I myself am still riding Shogun SP from end of year 2005 (with normal carburetor Mikuni VM18 without TPS). So far I'm quite satisfy with its default performance (third gear can reach 100kph in less than 10 seconds). So I make no modification at all on my ride.

How's the Shogun in Malaysia?

most shogunner's here (malaysia) still wondering why shogun's top speed only 100kph-120kph? if we look at this shogun's spec, it should be able to fight with Jupiter MX (malaysia name Yamaha 135LC)

Some rumours said suzuki malaysia lock the top speed at these parts: 1. CDI 2. TPS 3. Exhaust. so i'm wondering how you overcome these problems

Only Yoshimura? In Indonesia there're hundreds of brand for exhaust. But of course most of them are not recommended by Suzuki.

So my question :

1. Try Keihin PE24 (can't remember the suitable PJ and MJ)
2. By default, the carburetor is Mikuni VM18 (with 18mm of ventury)
3. Some testimony said that by releasing the spring inside the TPS can simply expand the acceleration and top speed of Shogun, but didn't mention by how much exactly was the increment.

Simply by replacing those 3 items. In Indonesia we got several brands for CDI, such as BRT (I believe this brand is also available in Malaysia), XP, Rextor, but most of the rider use the default CDI from older version of Shogun FD110 from year 97, since it's made by Shindengen.

As for the clutch, mostly are replaced by the default clutch plates and pressure plates from Satria RU120 (2-stroke, 6-speed).

Yes, original price for the exhaust is RM1000++, but if you buy suzuki bikes, they give you discount so you pay only Rm700 for the exhaust, that is special promotion..i guess.

Keihin PE24 ? can you post the carburetor pics? so i can recognize them, (so i will not buy the wrong one)
It is ok to use default PJ and MJ? Or i must change it?

For CDI, is it any significant increasing power if change to aftermarket CDI like BRT? Most popular CDI here is BRT Dual Band, so this CDI is good? Any recommend from you?

Since satria 120 not available in malaysia, what other choice if i want to change the clutch plate?

is the clutch spring need to change? because every time i want to change gear, i have to kick harder and the gear is not so smooth.

There're also several builds of Keihin PE24 (with different level of quality). The best one of course is made by Japan (the price is also the most expensive). But the one made by Thailand is also acceptable. Worstly you get condensation on your carb.

You might need to consult with your mechanic to overcome the gear shifting problem. I believe it just matter of adjusment.

As for the replacement clutch, I don't know which type of Suzuki have similar clutch type with Shogun 125RR available in Malaysia. Perhaps the FX125?

The BRT CDI according to some rider is highly recommended, but would suggest if possible don't replace it first, since it will also require further modification on the ignition timings. Just concentrate on optimizing the fuel and power distribution.

Oo..i see. So, that is honda's carburetor, which bike use this carburetor? So, how much for this carburetor (original japan) ?

Any recommend for other carburetor? like mikuni?

It used to be for Honda mini pit-bike, such as XR50R and XR70R.

I don't know about the original price. I think it's around US$200.

Other carburetor? I'm clueless about it. I think Keihin PE24 is already the best to boost up the performance with not much effect to the fuel consumption for daily use.

If you want to know about Honda NSR-150 sorry but that bike was discontinued in Indonesia. Only a few people in here who used this bike.

I'm the owner of Suzuki Shogun too but without a manual clutch.
