The new-gen Maruti Ertiga will launch in August this year. The new Ertiga will not only look more modern but will also offer a bigger cabin, more features, and newer engines. While one of these will be the new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated motor that will replace the current K14 mill, the other will be the company’s new 1.5-litre, turbo diesel motor that will replace the Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre MJD.



The recent batch of spy pics reveals that the upcoming diesel engine will come mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Other than this, the new MPV will be built on the HEARTECT platform that makes the car lighter than the current version in spite of the increase in size. The new version of the MPV is 99 mm longer, 40 mm wider, and 5 mm taller than the existing version. Thanks to the increase in size, the cabin is now more spacious and will probably offer more space to occupants in the third row of seats.

The new 1.5-litre engine outputs a maximum power of 105 PS at 6,500 RPM along with a peak torque of 138 Nm at 4,400 RPM. The engine will come mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard and a four-speed automatic as optional. The new diesel engine, on the other hand, will displace 1.5-litre. Power and torque outputs aren’t available at the moment but thanks to the latest spy pic, it looks like the new motor will come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This should make the MPV slightly more fuel efficient on long drives.



The new-gen Ertiga has already been revealed in Indonesia, which means we now know how it will look like. The India-spec variant will look much like its Indonesia-spec cousin. The latest generation Ertiga comes with a much fresher design that helps it look more upmarket. The new version looks sharper than before and even reminds us of the Toyota Innova Crysta and the Volvo XC60 when viewed at certain angles.



Even the interior is totally new and apart from being roomier, the MPV also offers many new features. The top-end trim will come with the Smartplay infotainment system that will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The MPV will offer standard safety features like ABS with EBD and dual front airbags across all the trims.

karena ya org sana mikirnya: AMT itu lebih gampang perawatan karena bisa ganti kopling, kalau geared AT lebih susah perawatan = takut gampang rusak dan mahal service-nya. trade off driving experience ampas ya mereka ga mikirin. padahal di teambhp juga ada beberapa yang ngeluhin, even reviewer team bhp sendiri ada yang secara implisit ga suka sama sekali. tapi ya daripada ga ada sama sekali :mky_01:

Tergantung bikinannya dulu....
AMT nya Wuling Cortez jauh lebih baik daripada AMT nya Ignis...

Untuk tarikan kenceng AMT.
Untuk middle-high speed, enak CVT.

Jadi.... Tergantung pengguna nya, enak pake mana Image

percayalah selera market india memang aneh dan beda sama kita.

bahkan di team bhp yang notabene forum petrolheadnya india, tempo hari debatin sliding door di mobil, lebih suka pintu biasa katanya

Kenapa LMPV diesel 1.5L selama ini belum ada yg matic? Apakah krn tidak populer di Asean? Padahal utk pasar Asean yg relatif price sensitif (Thai, Fil, Viet, Indo) mesin diesel modern 1.5L menjanjikan power lbh besar & lbh irit (kencang nan irit sesuai kemauan byk orang), rakit diesel 1.5L matic di Thai or Indo kan bisa dapat pasar 1 Asean .. bila alasan selama ini pasar diesel 1.5L kecil, apa mungkin krn selama ini belum ada matic nya? Sy user D4D V/AT penasaran jg dgn Diesel 1.5L matic (AMT jg gpp deh..) di body LMPV, sptnya formula pas utk all-round car di kota besar nan macet, tapi kalo manual lagi - manual lagi big no ..

Untuk case Indo, kl mau volume maker, line-up middle & low baiknya down-grade injector yg big hole, turunin pressure turbo & common rail, gpp power turun tp branding Biodiesel B20 comply.. IMHO CMIIW.. Seandainya sy petinggi IndoMobil.. ^_^

buat nenggak B20 r n d btuh biaya besar mungkin, ga semudah yang kita pikirkan

Klo wajib Dex, orang kita mentalnya masih mental Subsidi semua, susah dah

Jawaban pragmatis nya : they ain't Toyota or Astra... wkwkwkwk...

Serius, small diesel di Indonesia yang kita tau dikembangin sama dua pabrikan yang emang dari dulu kagak pernah serius mikirin market Indonesia. Chevrolet dan Suzuki. Chevrolet pabrik buka-tutup-buka-tutup ga jelas dan skrg beberapa dealernya malah nyambi jualan Wuling...

Suzuki? Yaaa sedikit lebih niat walaupun tetep aja produknya mediocre dan prestasi penjualan biasa-biasa aja. Ibaratnya, special kagak, tapi jelek juga kagak. Khusus yang diesel import dari India pulak, bayangin pihak Maruti India market leader disana, liat prestasi penjualan Ertiga Diesel di Indonesia yg jomplang sekali dengan angka penjualan mereka di India, ya langsung nehi-nehi... :ngacir:

Ertiga Diesel matic itu uda kabar burung entah berapa burung uda mengabarkan tetep aja kaga muncul-muncul :ngacir:

Harapan satu-satunya Avanza 1VD... yang sedihnya karena kagak ada kompetitor, pastinya Astra juga kagak mungkin ngeluarin duluan... Prinsipnya duo astra kan "if it ain't broke, don't fix".

Ertiga diesel yang lama menurut beberapa orang setir nya seret gak bisa balik sendiri. Tapi saya coba ertiga bensin ckd setir nya enak bisa balik sendiri. Ignis sama baleno hatch yang notabene rakitan india juga, pas saya coba sama2 seret begitu setir nya.

Apa ertiga rakitan india sama indonesia beda steering rack ya??. Semoga aja versi diesel yang baru gak kaya gitu.
