mm, entah rebadging atau tidak, tergantung persepsi masing2 menurut saya. soalnya kalo dibilang rebadging, desain tiap brand berbeda, begitu pula kalo dibilang original prinsip kerja ya mirip2 gitu.
seperti halnya resonator di exhaust, resonator di intake juga berfungsi sebagai peredam (selain berfungsi meningkatkan swirl dan flow), sehingga suara hisapan udara dari mesin teredam.
pada exhaust, sesuai namanya, resonator berarti device yang berfungsi menimbulkan/menguatkan resonansi. dalam hal ini resonansi yang diperkuat adalah resonansi gas buang, agar sesuai siklus kerjanya membantu menambah efisiensi volumetrik.

resonator pada intake maupun exhaust pada dasarnya punya range kerja optimal pada rpm tertentu, misal bagus pada rpm rendah-menengah, atau pada rpm menengah-tinggi, atau rpm tinggi saja. untuk mmperluas range kerja optimalnya dengan mengaplikasi variable resonator untuk intake.

mau tanya donk ad yg punya hitungan exhaust system buat yaris metik gak?
yaris ane baru ganti header 4 1 panjang, center pipe isinya flexibel, cc, scoot sisa k blkang stdr

btw, hasil riset (gonta-ganti resonator dng beberapa ukuran panjangnya) di mobil sy :

- semakin panjang resonator (sekitar 60cm) suara semakin adem, enggak berisik, tapi efeknya tarikan di putaran mesin awal s/d menengah (1500 s/d 4000 rpm) jadi lebih nahan/berat ....

- saat pake resonator dng panjang 35-40cm, suara lebih berisik, tapi tarikan di rpm 1500 s/d 3500-an terasa lebih ringan dan nendang

mohon info om2, kalok nyari resonator berbahan stainless steel dng panjang sekitar 45cm dimana ?

om om mau tanya dong, kenapa ya avanza header bawaannya 4-1, bukan 4-2-1? Sejauh pengetahuan saya, 4-2-1 lebih unggul di rev bawah-tengah yang seharusnya lebih sering terpakai drpd high rev.

setau sy, organ bawaan standarnya mobil itu disebut "exhaust manifold", bukan "header" dan memang kebanyakan pada umumnya berkonfigurasi 4-1

header bawaan biasanya, pendek banget panjang tiap jalur dri tiap cyldnya suka beda2, dan langsung masuk ke CC *cc makin deket ke mesin makin baik ,emission wise* ini alasan makin banyak mesin yang integrated headear....... ntah yang avansa seperti apa.


biasanya header aftermaket sekalipun 4-1 tapi diameter sedikit lebih besar,minim nekuk dan lebih panjang....

mbl modern yang bawaanya sudah 4-2-1 dengan dimensi panjang salah satunya adalah mazda full skyactiv kaya cx5 dan m6.. biante 4-1 klw g salah.

thanks pencerahannya, Om Billy. Jadi lebih ke perkara emisi. Dengan demikian, jika kita menafikan kadar emisi, dan berharap akan mendapatkan "sedikit" kenaikan peforma dengan mengganti header after market untuk pemakaian se-hari, mana yg lebih baik dipakai, 4-2-1 atau 4-1? Tentu fuel efficiency juga menjadi pertimbangan.

4-2-1 lebih fokus pada peningkatan torsi di rpm bawah-menengah. 4-1 lebih fokus pada peningkatan horsepower di rpm atas di sekitar putaran mesin menjelang redline.

Jadi utk harian mending gunakan 4-2-1 karna jarang gaspol sampai 6000-6500 rpm. Utk keperluan balap yaitu drag/lapping, banyak yg pake 4-1

mirage gw jg ganti header catless sampai blkng diameter juga di besarin.. tp pke muffler aga banyak biar suaranya kaya std.................

tenaga naik nya cukup kerasa kok dari rpm bawah sekalipun.... dan pling kerasa di rpm atas 6000 lebih ngisi.....

fc juga lebih irit..... klw nyantai dulu d tol 1:20kpl skrng gampang aja di 1:25
klw nyantai ya... klw ngebut sih sama aja.

skrng pingin piggy :D

header std 3-1 juga cuma pendek banget dan kecil..... aftermarket juga 3-1 cuma panjang dan lebih besar....

skedar info : kapan itu SS1 kapan itu pake resonator ukuran 38cm, suara berisik tapi tarikan bawah-menengah terasa nendang. Lalu karna pingin suara lebih adem, resonator diganti pake ukuran 60cm. Hasilnya memang suara jauh lebih adem, tapi tarikan bawah-menengah terasa tertahan. Sekarang lagi pesan resonator stainless steel ukuran 40-45cm dari JuraganKnalpot.com. Hasilnya akan dipost di sini...

review setelah ganti resonator ke-3 yaitu ukuran panjang 45cm, bahan stainless steel rapi, bikinan JuraganKnalpot.com Purbalingga :

- suara lebih garing, kebalikan dari resonator seblumnya yg panjang 60cm dan diameter tabung lebih gede, suaranya lebih mendem nahan

- tarikan dari putaran mesin bawah - menengah - atas lebih merata dan spontan, sedangkan resonatior seblumnya membuat tarikan bawah-menengah terasa nahan banget

kesimpulannya : ukuran panjang dan diameter tabung resonator CUKUP SIGNIFIKAN dalam memunculkan peak torque lebih ke putaran mesin bawah atau ke atas atau merata...

dengan riset yg sy lakukan sendiri pada SS1 (gonta ganti resonator), skarang ini sy bener2 puas mantaf dng performa SS1 ..

Barusan gaspol dari jkt sampai km 57 tol cikampek :
- banyak lobang gede dan dalam terutama di lajur 1 dan perbatasan antara lajur 2 & 3
- mesin SS1 dng resonator stainless bikinan purbalingga amat sangat memuaskan. Aksel ringan di semua rentang putaran mesin
- sayang gak nemu sparring partner yg seimbang. Ada ANJ lalu Greco ngajak tarik2an dan mrk berdua nampak seimbang, tapi keduanya terlalu mudah dilewati oleh SS1
