Porsche 911, Lotus Esprit, dan banyak lagi juga pake Nikasil. Mungkin pemakai Porsche rata2 sampe mobilnya uzur tau kalo mobilnya perlu bensin bagus, sedangkan pemakai BMW yah...ada yg tau ada yg asal beli tapi gak tau makenya (apalagi dikerjain supir...dikasi duit buat pertamax di beliin premium hehe...duduk di belakang mana tau bedanya :p)...jadi banyak yg pake bensin asal2an.

justru bmw sudah tau kl musuh utama nikasil itu sulfur, makanya e39 m52 untuk pasar amerika tidak menggunakam nikasil sejak awal mengingat kadar sulfur bbm di amerika tinggi..

Ya, sebetulnya saya bertanya karena Aprilia RS125 sampai sekarang masih pakai silinder liner berbahan nikasil. Akibatnya tiap 10 ribu km perlu bongkar mesin, disebabkan pistonnya macet.

Rencananya mau saya ajak Esemka untuk memproduksi piston dan silinder liner, buat eksperimen pengganti. Perhitungan saya kalau tenaga masih bisa dapat 33 HP (dari semula max 40 HP), masih bisa diterima para penggemar.

Yo wis ganti namanya jadi KW aja. Gitu aja kok repot.

Nyatanya barang KWnya gak ada juga. Jadi BMW tahun segitu, kena masalah nikasil terus dong.

Astra BMW siap dengan block non-Nikasil, BMW dari dulu udah ganti mesin2 yg rusak dengan block non-Nikasil sampe masa garansi habis.

saya kira tadi nya semua lineup e39 memakai nikasil sampai ditemukan nya sulfur issue ini heheheh thx for the correction. :off_good_job:

ga bagus ah, bukti nya patah waktu diadu sama pedang nya si monster itu (siapa sih lupa nama nya), mungkin juga gara2 pedang lawan nya mengandung sulfur tinggi ya? wkwkwkwkwk

What are the symptoms of cylinder bore wear?
Initially uneven idle caused by “leakdown”, i.e. lack of effective sealing (essentially loss of compression) in one or more cylinders. This will result in a rough idle. A gentle rock at idle is acceptable, however excessive movement at idle is the first symptom of cylinder bore wear. If you leave the car at idle with all ancillaries switched off, and you open the door wide and watch the top edge of the door, if it is moving significantly and unevenly you may well have cylinder bore wear.
What did BMW do about the problem?
When the problem first came to light, BMW were rather confused (as were the owners of the vehicles involved). However it didn’t take long for BMW to work out what was happening. Some of the cars were very new. BMW replaced the cylinder blocks and also tried to alleviate the problem by re-programming the DME to ensure higher combustion temperatures (a move which may have helped slightly but certainly didn't solve the problem). As initially they had no contingency block material, dead Nikasil block were replaced with new Nikasil blocks. Eventually they switched to different materials, a different alloy called Alusil on the V8s, and iron liners on the M52.

BMW extended the warranty to 4 years and 100,000 miles in the UK (whichever comes first). Unfortunately for most owners, few cars do as many as 25,000 miles per year, and all Nikasil block cars will now be much older than 4 years. So they are no longer covered.

mesin-mesin yang menggunakan V8 dan mesin dengan code M52 udah ga ada masalah nilkasil berarti ya.. :ungg:

jadi ga perlu takut pilih bmw! :off_good_job:
