Kalo niat mah masalah mesin bisa disesuaikan, mesti nya pake yg 2500cc (4JK1-TCX VGS turbo Intercooler) juga bisa, secara di d-max ada varian ini
kek 42ner di thailand malah pake 1KD-FTV, masuk indonesia jadi 2KD-FTV
Posted on Isuzu's fanclub website, the MU-X is based on today's D-Max pickup and is built to PPV (pickup passenger vehicle) rules stipulated by Thai regulations.
The MU-X features the familiar front end of the D-Max donor vehicle and has a C-pillar design aping that of the Toyota Fortuner, one of its chief rivals.
The website indicates that there will be four versions of the MU-X available initially powered by either a 136hp 2.5-litre or 177hp 3.0-litre diesel-turbo engine, all mated exclusively with an automatic transmission.
They include the 2.5 VGS 4x2 priced at 1.063 million baht, 2.5 VGS Prestige 4x2 at 1.133 million, 3.0 VGS 4x2 Prestige Navi at 1.233 million and 3.0 VGS 4x4 Prestige Navi at 1.333 million, the last being the only one with four-wheel-drive.
The MU-X's launch date is not known, although some other websites are suggesting an introduction late October before hitting Thai showrooms the following month.

Colo yg first gen (ngga masuk Indo, global version Thai built, bukan yg North American version), yg headlamp tumpuk, ane perhatikan detail2nya spt ujung pintu, pilar A B C, roof, dll, bakal masuk plek ama Dmax yg ada sekarang. (Ane menelisik unit service car yg dulu nongkrong di diler Chevy Sby jln Sulawesi).
Colo 2nd gen (yg skrg dipasarkan jg di Indo) udah liat unitnya, bandingin dgn foto2 New Dmax kayaknya jg sama sebangun di banyak bagian bodi. Plg beda di fender depan ki-ka, kap mesin, front fascia. Dr pilar A sampe C sama plek.
Hal sama keknya bakal berlaku antara TB vs MU-7 (atau apalah namanya ntar).
Yg menarik sih fitur2 active dan passive safety di D-Max baru utk varian high end nya

Yg mesin 2.5 VGS dan 4X2 akan sgt layak masuk Indo
hmmm, sekarang liat dulu Isuzu dipegang sama siapa disini,, yeaah Astra
dari fakta nya aja, d-max baru yg masuk ke indo kok pake mesin jadoel 4JK1-TC dan 4JJ1-TC, sedangkan versi aslinya di thailand udah pake TCX series (4JK1-TCX, 4JJ1-TCX), apakah takut si hilux VNT kalah pamor? who knows
Liat panther, daridulu pake mesin 4JA1-L, gak ada perubahan sama sekali, gak ada inisiatif ganti ganti mesin commonrail 4JK1_TC, apakah takut si ipah kalah pamor?
kalo pun si MU7 masuk ke indo, pasti sunat sana sini agar 42ner gak kalah pamor
4JJ1-TC dan JK1-TC bukan mesin jadoel, itu low low power azaaa.....mungkin pertimbangan mereka :
- Biar bisa minum solar jelek
- Versi VGS nya mungkin dikeluarin saat peslip nanti

at least untuk tipe LS / kelas atasnya kasi yg VGS (4JK1-TCX atau 4JJ1-TCX), buat nyaingin si hilux, triton, dan ranger kelas atas nya juga, kalo untuk yg single cab atau low class nya gpp pake 4JK1-TC biasa
