Nissan has just given the GT-R a tech upgrade, with the 2013 model (2012 in Europe) allowing the driver to play with 550 hp, 20 more than the replaced model.
So, what does Godzilla do when it receives extra muscle? The answer is simple... it manages to put every one of those hp down thanks to its intelligent ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive system.

We want to show you a video that showcases the revamped GT-R's ability to gain speed. The vehicle has always been famous for its blistering 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h sprint), but now things have reached a sky-high level.
In the adjacent footage, we see the 2013 GT-R being taken to the Sendai Hiland race track and being invited to play the 0 to 62 mph game. The result? A bewildering 2.84 seconds. As for the 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint, this is covered in 2.72 seconds.

This places the GT-R somewhere at the top of supercar acceleration so, if you're planning to race one, you'd better think twice.
