hallo semua gw sharing tentang tambal tangki bensin dengan epoxy. ini kejadian teman gw yg kecelakaan dan tangki bensin ninja nya tertusuk besi dan bocor halus di bagian bawah tangki sekitar 2cm. karena malas di bawa ke tukang las, dia tuangkan epoxy ke dalam tangki untuk menambal kebocoran itu. dan hasilnya bagus ngak bocor lg dan bagian dalam tangki dilapisi epoxy. tapi gw mau tau epoxy klo kena bensin emang ngak rontok atau lumer trus masuk ke saluran bensi ke karburator ya? klo epoxy ngak bereaksi dengan bensin boleh dicoba tuh untuk melapisi bagian dalam tangki bensin jadi kan ngak karatan lagi tuh tangki.

gw juga ngak jelas. gw pernah dengar dari teman yg tukang cat untuk lapisan dasar cat supaya ngak bangun catnya.
ada juga yg bilang lem. makanya gw tanya sama forumers aman ngak untuk tangki bensin takut nya bereaksi dengan bensin. klo ngak kan lumayan buat lapisan dasar tangki kan tangki gw dalam nya berkarat

Kalau nggak salah (CMIIW), aku pernah baca kalau epoxy itu semacam lem yang kalau kering berbentuk seperti karet yang kuat. Tapi aku nggak tahu apakah kekuatan karet tsb sama kuatnya dengan sealant tutup tangki yang juga berbentuk karet.

lem epoxy (atau ada juga yang menyebut lem besi) yang biasa didapat di toko material. campuran antara resin yang berwarna hitam dan putih.

hmm.. sepertinya tidak akan nempel kuat di dalam tanki, apalagi terendam bensin setiap saat. menambal tangki dengan epoxy seharusnya cuma langkah darurat, jangan dijadikan acuan perbaikan.

wah kalo lem besi sih bahaya tuh...soalnya kalo ga salah lem besi itu Flammable banged...gimana critanya kalo dipasang di tangki bensin...haiyaaaahhhh..........

Itu pake epoxy buat cat... biasanya dia dicampur sama hardener dan thinner... Epoxy buat cat ini gak luntur kalo kena bensin, tapi luntur kalo kena thinner... Selama ini sih aman2 aja, gua pake udah ampir 1/2 tahun... Lumayan efektif buat nambal kebocoran halus di dalam tangki... Saran gua kalo pake epoxy, tunggu harus bener2 sampe kering (1-2 hari), baru diisi bensin lagi, biar lebih aman...
Kalo gak salah artikel ini uda pernah dibahas di motorplus online...
