 Post subject: Mesin mobil OverHeat..??

Kemarin saya mendapat kabar dari temen saya, kalo mobilnya (eterna DOHC th 90) mogok di pintu tol Halim..
Katanya overheat n radiator berkurang..
Setelah itu dia isi lagi air radiator pas udah adem..
Tapi setelah itu tetep mobil gak mau idup distarter berkali-kali.. sampai akhirnya diderek..

Mo tanya nih..
Sebab apa saja yang bisa ditimbulkan akibat overheat pada mesin??
Katanya harus sampe turun mesin kalo parah.. apa iya?
Gimana kita tau kalo udah parah?

Mohon infonya.. temen sekalian..

kalo pengemudi sudah tahu overheat tapi masih dijalankan sampe mogok itu sangat berbahaya karena piston bisa lengket ke dinding silinder ,jadi bila suhu sudah mendekati 3/4 buru2 lah meminggirkan mobil dan mendinginkan mesin.....
khusus untuk kasus eterna diatas apakah saat distart mesin masih mau berputar?...bila tidak piston lengket,bila masih mau berputar saya kurang tahu dan harus liat secara langsung,mungkin temen2 lain ada yg bisa nambahin?

Kalo mobil sih saya belum pernah nglihat mobil sampe pistonnya macet.
Overheat dpt nyebabin dinding silinder baret shg hrs turun mesin buat ngorter silinder.
Kalo distart gak mau hidup saya jg nggak tahu soalnya belum dan nggak pingin ngalami.Kalo parah berabe...

Wehh berarti jorok tuh yang punya mobil :e-naughty:
en bisa jadi rusak sensor temperatur/gauge-nya atau sensor lainnya jadi ECU nerima sinyal salah.

Seperti kata Mas Is, jarang kasus overheat sampe turun mesin, soalnya pengemudi pasti mengetahui kalau temperatur naik adalah langsung berhenti. So ..gak tau akibatnya sampai separah apa

Mungkin ga bisa stater karena kop silinder melengkung kali yaa, so kompresi bocor abis. Tapi biasanya keliatan dari air radiator, kalo berminyak udah pasti kok silinder melenting karena panas

Wah kalo air radiator sampe masuk silinder berarti udah kena water hammer nih.Kalo gini banyak jeroan mesin yg kena.

Soalnya tuh mobil dipakenya digeber mulu.... ampe poll!!!

Apa ada faktor lainnya yah..?? Sebelumnya dia baru aja ganti mesin (mesin eterna juga)... mungkin ada something's wrong dengan pemasangannya....

viva mitsubishi ..... emang sesuai semboyan ..... born to run

kembali ke soal operhit .... eterna standard jarang sekali terjadi, kecuali maintenance yang nggak bener, ato bisa jadi instalasi cangkok mesin baru nggak bener, modif nggak bener, kalo operhit memang bisa bikin kop mulet/ melintir, kompresi ngedrop n mogok ,,,,,, temen gw pernah alami pake lancer evo III, di isi air sembarangan ... trus air jadi berkerak ... hingga nyumbat termostat .... trus macet nggak mau ngebuka ........ operhit deh ... silinder head mlintir .... kompresi hilang ... gasket ngowoss ... oli dan air pada muncrat di ruang mesin.... mogok ....... derek juga.
