apa fungsi sensor oksigen bisa dicari di google. Sepertinya harganya cukup mahal ya

oksigen sensor biasa terdapat di mobil2 yg menganut sistem close loop... jadi antara supply bbm, udara yg masuk, trus proses pembakaran ampe sisa gas buang nya di analyze oleh ECU lalu ditentuin dehh brapa besar supply bbm yg optimal disemprot ke ruang pembakaran.... fungsi oksigen sensor ini biasanya utk mengetes kadar gas buang di knalpot sbg sisa pembakaran... nahh posisi nya yahh biasa di knalpot sesudah catalyc converter... kalo oksigen sensor ini rusak yah otomatis pembacaan ECU jadi error... bisa2 bensin jadi boros atau tarikan boyo... cmiiw

katanya catalytic converter bisa dilepas biar bisa pakai premium. Nah, kalau dilepas berarti pembacaan di oksigen sensor bisa error/tidak akurat. Kalau error, otomatis pembacaan ecu jadi error. Tapi kenyataannya, catalytic converter dilepas tidak pengaruh apa2 (selain boros). Trus gmn penjelasannya tuh ?

Sepengalaman nubitol...error sih kaga...masing2 manufaktur punya spek berbeda, contoh, t30 lokal dgn t30 kanada yang menganut 2 sensor oksigen, mrk ga bisa sesuka hati mengganti exhaust system, kalo ndak salah harus dijumper o2 sensor belakang nya (atau cuman ga bisa dilepas ya?)Hmmm......
Jadi dulu t30 ane kaga error, oksigen sensor tetap terpasang cuma jadi nya agak boros saja, mgkn sensor membaca data yg ngawur tp tidak sampai lampu check engine nyala.......cmiiw

coba jawab pendek secara awam ya pak :D

oxygen sensor, betul mengetest kadar gas buang... apakah emisinya sudah "pas"
kalo dirasa belum pas, dia akan kasih input ke ECU untuk mengkoreksi parameter pembakaran, supaya lebih optimal (emisi bagus)
oxygen sensor salah satu perangkat sensor wajib di mesin yg sudah closed loop

sedangkan CC sendiri, lebih bersifat mirip saringan, untuk menyaring dan meng-konversi gas buang yang beracun tadi supaya lebih "aman" lewat proses katalis. makanya disebut "catalytic converter"
untuk saat ini, setau saya sih CC memang tdk terhubung sebagai salah satu sensor yg memberi input di ECU, jadi meski dilepas, yg paling terasa, emisinya jadi jelek

sedangkan sensor oksigen, jika dilepas, karena dia salah satu perangkat sensor untuk input ECU, sudah tentu akan bikin kacau (malfunction) kinerja ECU

jadi keduanya fungsinya beda...

nambahin dikit yg underlined :D
kalo pake premium, dikhawatirkan emisinya tinggi, entah karena tingkat "kebersihan" bbm-nya maupun dari keoptimalan pembakarannya (emisi HC)
takutnya, kalo emisinya terlalu buruk, kinerja CC jadi overload dan overheat, akhirnya mampet/rusak
seperti halnya saringan, dia punya limit seberapa kotor masih mampu menyaring (sebenarnya, yg lebih tepat "mengkonversi dengan cara katalis)

btw, sensor airflow yg ngadat juga bisa bikin rpm ngempos
tapi saya ga tau di yaris airflow-nya pakai model yg kayak mana :e-think:
