Salam kenal dari newbie.

Saya mau mencoba mengumpulkan informasi terkait Toyota Celsior/Lexus LS400, terutama terkait bengkel(beres/non,mesin/body), spare part(resmi/IU,TGP/OEM, new/used, outlets), panduan beli bekas, biaya kepemilikan per tahun, dan lain-lain, namun saya rasa akan lebih cepat apabila om-om semua berkenan membantu memberikan dan membagi informasi dan pengalamannya terkait mobil ini.

dulu ssdh apec yg 400 dijual 400juta onroad n yg 300 300juta n ssdh itu harga downtrend

ada juga entry level trim tyt windom jarga ada di rock bottom skitar 50jutaan yg roadworthy dg stnk bpkb (ex cd49 dan ex jica fleet (warna putih n hijau dg population enam units (jakarta) masing masing tiga

Wow, LS400 ini di US sendiri ini mobil bener2 revolusioner, sanggup bikin ketar ketir pesaing eropah di taun dia keluar (1989) ...
Kesenyapan kabinnya bikin pesaingnya malu, & jg keefisienannya, ga boong mmg bikinan dgn developing cost super gede gini ...

Dan bener2 reliable biarpun sekelas serie 7/s klasse, udah jalan sejuta mile km jg masih solid, salute :mky_02:

saar 1994 apec di bogor dia n ibu sy sehrsnya "temporarily displaced" ke satu rumah yg disewa indo govt di villa duta krn rumah kami di ujung taman malabar jadi shelter bill clinton's boyz n halaman dpn jadi helipad

garage rumah kami kadi shelter empat units lexus itu n saat dia tolak u pindah datang (wkt itu) menteri murdiono u tanya bgmn spy rumah bs kosong satu bulan?

alm ayah sy minta dua dr empat yg ada jadi milik dia saat apec klaar n murdiono bilang ok lengakp ditanggung setneg sampai bpkb terbit

sy kept dua units itu sampai th 2010 n sempat sy simpan satu garage dg silverspur-II milik sy dulu (samasama th 94)

naik 400 series itu lbh nyaman n sama silence dg rrss-II (this is worth noting ! u may prosecute me if found lie) ...300 juga sama tapi less powerful n more fuel efficient

400 n 300 series are collection-worthy coz they were the forat models that brought lexus to its presence

with them u may get half of rr aristocratic feel ...

Lexus LS400
XF 10 (1989-1991)
1. Engine: 4.0 liter 1UZ-FE 32-valve V8 engine,
2. Power/Torque: 190 kilowatts (250 hp) and 353 newton metres (260 ft·lbf) of torque
3. Gearbox: four-speed automatic transmission with ECT-i electronically controlled shifts, super-flow torque converter and rear differential.
4. chassis: independent, double-wishbone suspension setup, and a passive air suspension system was optional.
5. Options:
a. an automatic tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with SRS airbag
b. power adjustable shoulder seat belts
c. electrochromic rear-view mirror
d. California walnut and leather trim
e. power-adjustable seats
f. soft-touch controls
g. back-lit electroluminescent gauge cluster featured a holographic visual effect, with indicator lights projected onto the instrument panel
h. The memory system stored the driver's seat, side mirror, steering wheel, and seat belt positions

XF 11 (1993-1994)
1. The vehicle received larger disc brakes, wheels, and tires, and adjustments were made to the suspension and power steering systems to improve handling
2. Stylistic changes included additional body side moldings and a revised grille, along with a greater selection of colors
3. For the interior, a standard passenger front airbag (first Toyota-built series production car available with passenger front airbag), an external temperature gauge, digital odometer, seat belt pretensioners, and chlorofluorocarbon-free refrigerant were added

XF 20 (1995-1997)
1. Engine: 4.0-liter 1UZ-FE V8
2. Power & Torque: 194 kilowatts (260 hp) and 366 newton metres (270 ft·lbf).
3. Internally, over 90% of the redesigned LS 400's composition was new or redesigned, with
a. increased sound insulation,
b. a strengthened body structure,
c. suspension updates (first LS/Celsior with Skyhook adaptive computerized air suspension),
d. and improved brakes.
4. The redesigned model was 95 kg (209 lb) lighter than its predecessor and achieved slightly better fuel economy.
5. Externally, the most significant change was an increase in wheelbase length of 36 mm (1.4 in), resulting in more interior space and an additional 66 mm (2.6 in) of rear seat legroom. However, as the overall length remained the same, trunk capacity was slightly reduced
6. The redesigned LS 400 interior received upgraded features, varying from
a. dual-zone climate controls to rear cupholders
b. A newly patented seat cushion design, similar to the car's suspension, utilized lightweight internalcoil springs and stabilizer bars to improve comfort.
c. One of the first in-dash CD changers was offered as an option.
d. Safety enhancements included enlarged crumple zones, three-point seat belts at all positions, and a new collapsible steering column.

XF 21 (1998-2000)

1. increased engine output (to 216 kilowatts (290 hp), with variable valve timing (VVT-i), and an added 41 newton metres (30 ft·lbf) of torque.
2. five-speed automatic transmission.
3. Acceleration times and fuel economy were improved as a result
4. The suspension and steering also received minor tweaks to improve feel and handling
5. Stylistically, the vehicle sported a new front fascia, side mirrors, and updated wheels
6. a rear windshield diversity antenna replaced the conventional power mast.
7. The cabin received upgrades, including a trip computer,HomeLink, retractable rear headrests, reading lamps, and ultraviolet-tinted glass, while the climate control gained a micron filtration feature with a smog sensor.

Engine & Powertrain :

Matic unit mobil ini gak sulit, karena sama dengan yang dipakai Kijang Innova alias AW 340

Mau overhaul ada repair kit lengkap dari TranStar & Sonnax (Sonnax repair kit utk Body valve)

Mau pasang TransGo either SK 340 ayau HD2 juga bisa.....installer yg jago ada di Sunter

Utk mesin :
Fast moving component spt filter oli mudah, krn filter oli Toyota banyak yg sama

Tinggal filter udara & filter bensin-nya yg hrs tanya ke toko parts

Komponen jeroan mesin mestinya juga gak sulit, scr banyak mesin limbahnya.......dulu teman saya ada yg pernah masukkin mesin V8 - 4000 cc ini ke Kijang kapsul & berhasil.

Mungkin yg perlu diwaspadai adalah ketersediaan body parts, terutama yang mesti diganti berkala spt karet2 pintu, walau mungkin bbrp karet bisa pakai karet yg meteran. Kalo mika2 lampu ya cari yg limbah dah.

Sunroof juga, cek2 jangan sampai ada kebocoran

Kalau komponen kaki2 mestinya sih gak begitu susah. Bisa di orderin.

Cuman ya utk mobil dgn usia begini, sebaiknya jadi mobil weekend aja, mengingat ketersediaan parts2-nya sudah terbatas.

Ini dia. Gw dulu pernah punya UZF20 tahun '95 kelir two-tone blue-gray dan interior gray. Dimodif sedikit dengan shock tower brace TRD dan shockbreaker Bilstein HD. Mesin memang jagoan, menurut datanya 260 hp dan 260 ft-lbs tapi kalau dibejek abis kerasanya seperti dekat2 300.

Ruang interior luas; jok belakang serasa di lain kecamatan. Waktu itu anak masih bayi, kalau nangis mesti berhenti dulu karena tangan tidak sampai ke jok belakang. UZF20 ini lampu depannya juga hebat, dibawain dari Indo kabel lampu upgrade. Di pod yang paling luar, bohlamnya H4 90/135w dan di pod yang dalam, bohlamnya H1 100w. Lensa lampu terbuat dari gelas, tidak kuatir meleleh. Lampu jauhnya jadi 135w x2 tambah 100w x2. Lampu HID jaman sekarang tidak ada bandingannya.

Sayangnya mobil ini problem dengan power steering pump yang bocor terus dan karat di atap sebelah depan, di bawah kaca depan. Waktu terakhir sebelum dijual, saking parahnya kalau hujan airnya masuk. Ini mobil diganti dengan '98 BMW M3 Sedan.

hmmm nggak bakal menyesal lah ya beli ini, biaya risetnya nggak bohong. BTW, dulu langganan bengkel resmi, umum, bengkel catnya dimana om rubble? bensin harus 95 atau bisa 92?

ini di US ya om? dulu PSnya tiap bocor diservis / ganti pump baru? kalo kaca bocor itu punya om doang atau banyak yang kena kaya accord maestro?

Iya di US. Males ganti/perbaikan karena waktu itu sudah mau dijual, jadi cuma ditambahin kalau kurang. Atap yang karatan itu gak jelas cuma punya gw doang atau tidak.

dulu bensin pakai premix ...elnusa maupun gigaintrax

bengkel resmi auto2000 jln pajajaran bogor n bengkel cat tdk ada krn tdk pernah accident n incident

mobilnya yg 400 di beli ketua golkar sukabumi, andri setiawan n nopol yg lama f-1-at tetap sy retain (yg baru jadi f-7-**)

yg 300 di beli dokter sukarto n tetap pakai nopol f-1-*)

kalo gitu gearbox 4 speed udah enak nasibnya.. kalau Gearbox yang 5 speed ada pengalaman gak om?

tahun 2014 kmaren pernah liat di olx ada jual toyota celsior tahun 98 posisi di makasar cuma 90 juta , gilee itu jok blakang tengahnya bnyak bnget tombol" , gak tau untuk apa aja :mky_02:

Mau tanya dong, kalo performance sama reliability air suspension nya jauh banget nggak dibanding suspensi biasa? In other words, nyamannya bikin limbung ga, terus umurnya berapa tahun rata2?

Iklan Lexus LS400 tahun 1989, berjudul "Balance".
Mirip sama iklan Toyota Cressida. Cuma kalo Cressida pake satu botol wine doang dan dalam keadaan idle, di iklan Lexus ini pake multiple wine glasses dan revved sampe kecepatan maksimum, dengan hasil yang sama: tenang. Salut. :e-clap:

Premix thn 94, oktannya udah naik ke 95.
Tapi in case om sengaja ngangkat celsior kondisi busuk, om akan bawa ke body repair a2k atau ke triwa/PAB?
Btw, om penyuka fiat kah?

kalo lexus type itu sy bawa ke bengkel a2000 cileduk krn triwa sy liat owner nya lg jenuh

sy cuma trima warisan fiat krn alm.ayah sy dulu buka klinik di dahamotor jln merdekaselatan (skrg bgn dr naval attache office us embassy, sblmnya jadi training center bankmandiri) dan klinik di nv isc jln lodanraya no.2-8

dulu ada campagnola (baca: kampa-nyola) 2300coupe, 1800sedan, 1800estate, 130sedan, 130coupe, 132gls, 132-argenta, 128coupe (yg ini dibeli isa/kzero), 124sport, uno-Ii coupe t, n yg terahir punya 1995 tempra

Ane bener2 suka bentuknya celsior ini. Sempet di bengkel liat lexus ls400 th 94
Cuma kalo dari segi interior lebih luas infiniti i30 ane. Cuma ngeliat celsior atau lexus ini di modif kereen bgt
