Mau tanya nih,
Kenapa ya pada mesin2 turbo compression rationya lebih rendah(mungkin tidak ada yang lebih dari 11 : 1, CMIIW) daripada mesin2 NA?
Apakah dengan begitu, persyaratan octane number untuk bahan bakar mesin turbo lebih rendah?

Di artikel ini, bahkan RR Ghost compression rationya cuma 10:1 -> bisa pakai pertamax :e-snooty:

numpang report dehh... livina ane akhirnya minggu lalu ane carbon clean... karena mesin nya uda gelitik bener2 parah... gigi 1 aja bahkan uda menggelitik... jalan ndut2an kaya orang baru blajar nyetir... mau jalan langsam pake gigi 2 pun jg susah bener...

dan stelah di masukin obat dan disedot kembali... kira2 beginilah warna cairan nya...

stelah di carbon clean... tarikan sudah mendingan... glitik jauhhhhh sekali berkurang... mau jalan langsam jg enak...

lumayan lahh buat servis ringan 1 jam an....

@ meneer imsus : kena 325 rebu om.... waktu kmaren rada ngejar waktu... itu jg nyuri2 waktu jem siang ane... makanya gt selsai carb clean ane lgs jalan... dan lagi kayanya mobil ane blom ada gejala2 membrebet berat gt... idle jg masi blom parah geter2 nya.... jadi yahh biarin dulu dehh...

saya juga pernah mengobrol dengan teman, dan dia mengatakan bahwa kompresi ford mustang tergolong rendah, jadi bisa kita langsung kaitkan bahwa ford mustang dan rubicon IU bisa minum premium.. hehehe.. :D

tapi di sisi lain, menurut saya sih, bukankah kualitas bahan bakar juga menjadi pertimbangan selain menggunakan nilai RON yang tertera sebagai acuan? :e-think:

itu adalah lancer 2000cc speknya persis dengan yg ada di Indonesia
kalo disini min octane lancer 90

di USA, lancer recomend fuelnya : 87 octane rating

satuan octane (octane rating), saat ini yg lazim dipakai ada 3 satuan, cmiiw ya :D

RON (Research Octane Number)
MON (Motor Octane Number)
AKI (Anti-Knocking Index) --> kadang disebut juga PON (Pump Octane Number)

coba cek lagi halaman2 awal topic ini, seingat saya sudah disinggung dikit2 sama pak penyuturbo :D

di usa recomend 87 aja?

RON=92, MON lebih rendah dari itu.
jadi Pump Octane Number = (RON+MON)/2 hasil nya pasti dibawah 92.

di amerika yang ditulis itu Pump Octane Number nya.

Td baca2 artikel lg,supercar mclaren CMIIW -> 3800cc twinturbo,580dk,rasio kompresi cuma 8.7:1. Pertanyaan : Apakah kompresi mesin merupakan satu2nya parameter dalam menentukan bahan bakar(asumsi sdh unleaded) yg digunakan?

Kalo rate bahan bakar di US,CMIIW. Regular -> RON 91(kalo di US 87), Plus -> RON 95(di US 91/92?), Premium -> RON 98(di US 95).

rasanya hampir semua mesin klo dimodif pake turbo pasti selalu (atau hampir selalu) disuru ganti ke piston low compression, walaupun compression mengecil tapi ron bbm harus naek dari yg tadinya ron 88 jadi ron 92 atau lebih..

klo begitu kasusnya gimana?
