kawan2...menurut kalian lightweight wheel dgn metode pembuatan tempa itu worth the price?..dimana uda proven di test track, dgn beda2 dikit berat malah gak gitu ngaruh dgn lap time dan blm tentu tercepat..

dgn berat velg nya yg sangat ringan...misalkan volk re30 18 inch lebar 9inch yg berkisar 8 hampir 9 kiloan, apa tahan dibantai di jalan indonesia yg amburadul ini?(assuming ban memakai profil yg tidak sadis...50 keatas)...

saya pernah membaca di suatu artikel, bahwasannya velg dgn proses tempa itu absorsi getarannya kurang bagus dibanding dgn proses cetak(mksdnya proses cetak yg bagus sekali yg digunakan oleh manufaktur velg berkualitas)..what do you guys think?:)..

bottom line nya: price vs worthness vs durability of the lightweight forged wheel itu gimana mnrt kawan2?:)

forging vs casting..? harusnya sih forging lebih bagus karena distribusi butirannya lebih bagus dari casting yang sensitif sama sudut2, banyak internal stress.
cuma forging tentu butuh press yang lebih besar, berat dan heat treatment yang lebih rumit.

untuk pelek secara umum, semakin ringan unsprung weight (beban yang tidak ditahan oleh suspensi, semakin bagus stabilitasnya (terhadap perhitungan suspensi mobil secara keseluruhan)

soal kuat atau tidak, tergantung cara pakai dan keperluannya..kalo ban tebal ya harusnya kuat2 aja, kalo ada lobang ngerem kan? apa hajar aja?

@oom iwang: diskusi saja oom....tapi saya sih biasanya nyetir ada lobang pasti ngerem...kalo uda gak sempat yah injak gas saja...hihihi..tentu secara metallurgy proses tempa lebih baik..nah..saya bingung nya..apakah ada pengaruh significant disaat pemakaian sehari2?apakah kuat dgn jalan2 indonesia ini?(dgn asumsi massa yg berat tentu lebih kuat..apa dgn berat yg ringan sekali velgnya bisa tahan gak peyang?:)

rasanya untuk pelek, bedanya tidak terlalu banyak, cenderung marginal (secara teknis) untuk harian.. kecuali untuk balap...mungkin ada efek, misalnya lebar ban (traksi) yang berpengaruh ke performa rem dan handling pda umumnya, tapi efek lain (NVH naik, beban berat ke komponen suspensi, steering dll)..

lebih banyak ke looks sih daripada ke fungsi, seperti judul lagu atau pelem yaks..if looks could kill..eh lagunya heart ding :D :D

nah..dari segi NVH ini lah makanya saya tanya..kalo shock absorbsi nya kurang bagus utk velg tempa..nvh jg kurang bagus kan?:)

mungkin jg gitu, saya kurang paham perpelekan, selalu pake standar..tapi yang nahan bump kan ban dan suspensi..guna pelek itu cuma tempat masang ban doang..ga bakal flexing..

selain sebagai cangkang tempat masang ban, velg juga mempengaruhi air flow (NVH juga sih), brake cooling dan offset velg jg membatasi ruang gerak/desain komponen suspensi (clearance-nya)


ga signifikan rasanya...NVH lebih tinggi dari suspensi, peredaman, tapak ban..

tapi pelek bisa bikin ganteng tu mubil hihi

gampangnya sih pake pelek tunernya..kalo nisan ga tau deh, mungkin ada enkei atau yng bikinan nissannya..nissan sport?
merc dan bmw sih ada banyak spesialis tunernya
toyota mungkin pake trd
mitsu pake ralliart
sujuki..?pake ape ye?
honda ada mugen muka genit, modulo

....trus pasangin stiker no fear , TRD, RAlliart, state of the art (di spakbor depan), logo di bonnet yang emas2an..stiker di kaca blakang : the jungle, taman mini, mekarsari, taman sapari, waterboom, istana negara, PM, gantungan sersan2an di spion tengah, stiker mabes, dalem pake sandaran leher, sarung jok hodoli, kordeng, kaca pelem yang item dan mantul, spion kasih lampu LED, pelek di kroom, pasang lis krom spakbor, talang aer, bemper2an krom depan blakang buat nglindes2in motor, kasi lampu di kolong, krom2an di lampu depan /blkg, ujung knalpot pake pipa yang gede, stir dikecilin yang resing, ancur dah tu mobil hahaha

kalo khusus pelek , setau ane, Mitsubishi, melalui ralliartnya tetap di bikin oleh Rays
Nissan jg oleh Rays melalui Nismo
kalo untuk Suzuki, di bikin oleh Enkei melalui Suzuki sport.

Kalo toyota kalo gak salah Enkei juga

nah mengenai pelek ringan, mnrt ane ya ada kelebihannya yg bikin nyaman, yaitu yang telah di jelaskan oleh Om2 di atas.

ada satu tambahansedikit , jadwal spooring dan balancing gak perlu sering2, ban terlihat habisnya rata , stir tidak narik. IMHO seh...

tentu lebih tahan yang besi, yang berat, yang tebal...(makanya tank itu berat hahaha)...yang ringan dibikin untuk keringanannya, buat untuk kekuatannya...:D :D

kalo untuk kekuatan ane masih megang yg SSF dan casting...
liat deh , di WRC....dengan bermacam ragam trek yg ganas, mobil2 WRC pada pake pelek tipe pembuatan SSF dan casting.. bukan yg fully forged.
Kalo yg fully forged, itu lebih tahan terhadap perubahan bentuk di kecepatan tinggi, bukan benturan keras...IMHOOOOOOOO
